Hi! I’m starting ib this year and I’m super scared because I’m doing bio HL, chem HL and math analysis and approaches HL. Could you share your experience doing really difficult subjects in HL? Was it as difficult as it seems?
People tend to over-exaggerate the difficulty of your HL topics, so don't be alarmed by them. Based off of my experiences and what I heard, Math HL AA is the hardest out of your three HLs (unless you are a natural math genius, then physics), but even that is possible to get a 7. As long as you listen in class, do the HW, and takes notes, you should be fine. I thought the content in Physics HL and Math AA HL were easy, but IB questions made them hard. So definitely do plenty of past-paper questions to improve your critical thinking and your approach to unfamiliar types of questions.
Guys i have to choose 3 subjects for IB and i choose digital society Business and Biology. I really aim to get highly scores and subjects don’t matter. Do you think Biology or ESS is better?
Hi! I currently in my sem 3 and I just finished my exams. Can you do a vid how to score/study physics HL as I also took them and always got low grade since sem 1. Really appreciate it!!!❤❤
hii thanks for the video and congrats on such a great result! I am actually taking similar subjects like you for my ib, only I am taking physics instead of biology can you tell if it's a good choice to go with ESS? I am really confused...sorry to bother.
Hi! I actually took physics and not biology. As for your question, don't worry too much about whether or not taking a subject makes more sense than the other. You should really choose subjects that you are interested in. Let's say you want to do STEM in college but are still interested in business, then take subjects like econ. For me, I was interested in environmental sciences so I took ESS.
I had a really good langlit teacher. She focused my class on improving our analytical reading skills and taught us how to implement our ideas into an essay easily. Instead of writing many essays, we practiced writing outlines for our essays. This helped me a lot because it made sure I was writing concisely and purposely rather than trying to cover everything.
Hey! For your English IO, practice is crucial. Practice aloud and with your notes and try to hit the 10 mins mark. If you have time, prepare for the questioning part by predicting the type of questions your English teacher may ask you. Build a general response to themes such as identity or power, so regardless of what your teacher may ask, as long as it ties to a global issue, you have a response.
The exam and non exam route was only a thing during COVID (I think). At my school, the exam route wasn't an option. I am not sure of the policy now. You might need to check the IB website for that.
Hey, I’m a incoming first year IB student. I’ve been wondering about which IB science to pick in. I’m stuck between Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I’m studying economics in university, and from what I’ve heard is that math is a crucial component. I’m not that good with mathematics because I haven’t been doing much since middle school due to transferring to many schools. So I’m a bit rusty. I thought of the options; 1. English Literature A SL 2. Mandarin B HL 3. Economics HL 4. Business Management HL 5. Biology/Chemistry 6. Mathematics AA SL Option 2; 1. English Literature A 2. Mandarin B SL 3. Economics HL 4. Business Management HL 5. Physics SL 6. Mathematics HL ( IA ) Which one do you prefer? My goal is to score a 36 in the end. I would say that I’m currently sitting at the threshold of 15-18, and after solidifying my foundations to increase into 27-34.
Hey! Given your options, option 2 seems more fitted for studying economics in university. I say this because Mathematics IA would prepare you better for your desired path. Math IA focuses on statistics and applications of mathematics, whereas AA provides a more classical approach in content. In addition, physics SL (in option 2) would demonstrate advanced critical thinking, which looks better on your college resume. If you are still unsure what to choose, I would advise speaking with your counselor or IB coordinator. Hope this helps!
@@Catitalaratoncita Its been nostalgic. I had my fair share of downs, and came really close to quitting. But I decided to endure, and try to balance between school and self studying. The school isn’t much of a help. I’m still having a lack of social life. But I still aim to score high on the IB on all subjects. Thanks for asking 🙏
@@sebastianblackfyre You are very inspiring, just remember that always do your best and that your best will look different each day. So it’s easier to learn to appreciate even the small achievements :) IB is hard, and if you even go through it then I would say you have something special in you. Good luck 🧡
congratulation!!! an insane and well-deserved achievement
Thank you!
im so glad the algorithm reccomended me this🙏
Can you make more ib-related videos? I’m planning to take similar subjects, so it would be very helpful ☺️

Basically I will be doing:
Language A: Spanish SL
Language B: English SL
ESS SL
Biology HL
Chemistry HL
Math HL
What do you think??

Hii could you make videos on how you achieved such high ib score, im currently taking a pre ib course :)

Thank you! I applied to US and Canadian universities.

Is it possible for you talk about your EE and maybe link it because it would really help me since I’m planning on writing my EE on visual arts! :)
Sure! I can talk about my EE in my next video.
how did you achieve a level 7 in eng langlit despite the workload? i want to choose bio chem math aa HL and i’m really afraid of the workload

could you please make a video about how you improved in french b?
Sure! I will make sure I mention it in my next vid :)
heyyy I’m m23 and doing the same hl combo 💀💀💀 can you share some tips on how you approached these subjects?
Absolutely! I will start planning for that vid 👍
A question: isn’t the exam route a choice or does it depend on the individual or on the school?
The exam and non exam route was only a thing during COVID (I think). At my school, the exam route wasn't an option. I am not sure of the policy now. You might need to check the IB website for that.
omg congratsss i am in dp2 and can you try making yours arts pp and exhbition works
Thank you! Sorry, I didn't take the arts so I don't have an art pp nor exhibition to show.

A super good video ^^ continue youtube pls
Thank you for the support! ☺️
Can you do a video on visual arts ee?
I might do a video on that but if you have any specific questions, you can also dm me via Instagram or email
how did you take 3 sciences and no humanity???
Environmental and Sciences Biology is an interdisciplinary subject that can substitute as a group 3 course.

姐姐math hl AA 难吗 准备take 好怕
一般来说, math AA hl 是挺难的。虽然学的内容挺straightforward,但是考试题目不太容易. 不用太担心,practice makes perfect 😅
I would be lucky to get above a 50%, predicts herself a 6 and gets a 7, i hate u 😂
