Story explanaiton:
There isn't a story explanaition but the meteor needed to hit the Zero Point
Even though I was not able to participate for myself (because of queue *and* crashes), I still think it was a very cool event with some phenomenal visuals ! Like a lot of people however, I wished it was longer and actually story-driven (even though it clearly serves a turning point Lore-wise). At least it got me hyped for Chapter 5 which it was clearly trying to show. *Solid 7.5/10 to me*
i stayed up all night and all day to participate but fell asleep on my desk but friends said the game kept crashing anyway but this was a vibe to just watch.
They're doing it three times they already did the second one third is in a few hours (11pm et)

Honestly no complaints. It was not too story-focussed, it was not too interactive, and it was very diverse in terms of tone and visuals. Good job guys, my hope for FN live events has been renewed 👍

My favorite part of the event was after the screen went black the huge burst of light with that weird pattern/movement. I can’t describe it, but that was cool. 3:40
I feel the same way, and I’ve been trying to find some explanation on what it is. I think the best explanation I found is that was “the Big Bang” that Fortnite is calling it, so when the meteor hit the Zero Point, this time it exploded. If you notice the first couple of seconds after the screen changes from pitch black to the cool patterns, it’s in the shape of a sphere, like the Zero Point.

I think this is what had happened after the black hole event in Season X and we just never got to see the aftermath and what had happened and this is what happened after 🤔

Thank you. I had an hour queue and when they decided to relaunch the event I had to go do Landry. I only found this because I have notifications on
Was hoping to catch this in game but missed the first one due to the queue. Was actually in the middle of a match when I was logged out and thrown into an almost 2 hour long queue less than an hour before the event. And then almost before I could get into the event the queue shortened and then I'm unable to log in. Good thing you got a good video on UA-cam, doubt I'll be able to get into the next one.

the new and improved end music is, in my opinion, as good as the first one, if not better. i loved the use of soaring trumpets and french horns in changing the chords to some that weren’t in the original song to give it a similar sound yet different feel, so props to the composer behind this game
The end is one of my favorite pieces of fortnite music and when I heard this one I almost cried

Let me point out the differences in this event
difference 1-this time instead of just flying around like last time it just makes a rift right behind the meteor
Difference 2- the lasers only point out of 4 on this one he point out to 8
Difference 3- we did not see the black hole at all so that means the “nothing” Does it exist in this timeline
Also, the sky was different. And the fact we were re morphing the meteor with a quick time event
What do you mean the nothing doesnt exist? the nothing wasnt made by the black hole
The black hole is connected to “the nothing” it’s ritually in the Fortnite wiki page of “the nothing”
But we don’t know if it’s made by the black hole because that’s the first time we see it the nothing we see the nothing with the black hole in that was the only time we see the nothing

unpopular opinion: it was worse than fracture because fracture atleast showed us lore and formation of chapter 4 island, and how chapter 3 ended. In this event however, we get to face 3 collabs, lego, cars thingy and giant eminem. Before that. glitching rocket an shortened end event which was a coolidea though. The kevin island just disappeared with no explanations whatsoever, even though there can be an idea made very quickly for example, rocket exploding the island or entering the zero point portal. Yes, the graphics and visuals were cool but i think we want more lore related events, than showcasing new visuals.

If the event was a tiny bit more Story driven it would have been a 10 or 9 out of 10 but now I think an 8 or 7. 5 will do, great event tho 👍👍👍
it was meant as at ret con of the original storyline since the last reality won in that timeline so slone sent jones to chapter 1 to ret con the old storyline using the time machine and the rocket to effectively reboot the omniverse IN reality zero so this is a new storyline with new characters so we don't know if the seven are going to return (amie, The Foundation, and The Paradigm since the others minus The Imagined since she died at the end of chapter 3 season 2 were captured and corrupted by The Last Reality before Fortnite OG) but the IO are coming back and so is The Last Reality but the question is.....When?

This was a fever dream-
I was on a dirtbike when the event started and I was facing the southeast towards the desert to go get a friend who literally rode the rocket over there. The whole event glitched for me and the part where we are in the red abandoned city while he is rapping like crazy, I was stuck in the air in the dirtbike animation as high up as most buildings. Also, while the "Black Hole" showed up, I was facing backwards and my legs were twisted up behind me. Honestly really funny. Thankfully not on my first experience though...this took place on the third showing.
Ngl the event was kind of underwhelming for me it seemed like it was just one big advertisement for the new modes with nothing story related. The cube island wasn’t even there it had just disappeared with no explanation.

So glad this is here. This is the exact angle I was watching from but when I watched it it glitched out and I missed half of the part with the rocket I barely got to see it crash into the zero point.
( and I missed the rerun because it was way in the early morning for me.

Can’t believe I woke up at 3 am, waited 3 hours for the event, finally joined the event, then immediately got kicked and it made me wait in a queue for 1 hour. THEN I waited for the second event only for the servers to go down. Unbelievable. Edit: When I made this comment I didn’t watch the whole video because I didn’t want spoilers, but I finished the event and I think it was alright. Not the best, not the worst. But it was a little short.

Save the World deserves its own game. Epic barely has any other games, especially no other successful ones, and they already have a really good concept for it, but it's limited by a lot of battle royale stuff

Im mad about the event as 1) Eminem got 2 songs for 3 minutes and 2nd) there wasnt much story related content which events are meant for as all og small season we had Jones put the time travel machine onto the rocket for it to do nothing...

Wish it was more story focused, would’ve been way cooler If we got to see Kevin interact with the zero point. There’s no explanation to why jones traveled to the past or anything, just a big ad for everything to come.
If you picked up the audio logs that were on the map you would of heard that he was sent back to extract something from the OG event but as far as that goes it's unknown

@mostepicbaconever probably was but 62% of the event was cut so if that 62% wasn't cut we'd probably see what he extracted maybe it was the Zero Point though cause I think he brought the floating island to extract the Zero Point or it could be the Seven from TLR if that 62% wasn't cut

Ok so in the season x event, all memebers of the seven made the meteor hit the zero point in a collective effort. Since now that the seven are gone, were the multiple rockets all jonsey's time machined rocket time traveling back to the same time so he effectively multiplied himself to hit the zero point?
We went back in time. The seven are here still. They haven't been corrupted by the chrome in this timeline. But since the big bang morphed reality into a different version, the seven may not exist/may be different.
I honestly only liked when it got straight to the point.

Facts
The story didn't end in a bang, it died in a whimper. The end event remake was atrocious, and the stuff afterwards felt like filler. So many story treads was disregarded for no reason and the only thing interesting story wise that I remember about the event is when the one rocket became six rockets.
I wish we saw a fight tho or sth close to the story line

I thought it was very disappointing. It was basically the same thing as the black hole except it had 3 new things you got to experience for Two minutes. I liked the Eminem concert but it was shorter than all the other concerts. The live event as a whole was a big letdown after not having one for so long just to have one that was essentially recycled. Even the chrome Queen event was better, it might have been boring but at least it was interactive. It was super long don’t get me wrong but an 11 minute live event & a concert should have been more than eleven minutes

Felt short and had no lore to it. The sneak peeks could’ve been more immersive particularly the Lego and driving game. But I get it, they need to polish it before releasing it.
I am a little bias because I missed the season x event because I was in a match and it finished so I tried going into another but the queue time was too long. I’m glad I can experience the black hole event (sort of)

Don’t get me wrong, I am really glad we finally got an amazing live event from Epic and it looked very good!
But I really hoped for some storyline within this event, the whole buildup during Chapter 4 season 4 and Fortnite OG just felt all for nothing within The Big Bang Event.
