She was popular at one time but time has past. She talks about Bonnie and Clyde and Network these films are over 50 years ago. Even Chinatown is 50 years old. She was good but she's yesterday's news.

@reginamaria8602 yes, and I respect her as an actress . She is a very good actress but unfortunately Hollywood is a place where they always look for younger actresses.
She had a successful career now it's someone else's turn.
This is life. I wish her well in the future. The past is another country.

@@PaulJones-i7k Thank you for sharing your thoughts. While it’s true that Faye Dunaway’s most iconic films, like Bonnie and Clyde, Network, and Chinatown, were made decades ago, their impact on cinema remains timeless. These works continue to inspire filmmakers, actors, and audiences alike, and Dunaway’s performances are still studied and celebrated for their brilliance. Great art, after all, doesn’t have an expiration date. While Hollywood does often prioritize youth, it’s worth remembering that the contributions of actors like Faye Dunaway paved the way for many of today’s stars. Her career is a testament to talent, resilience, and the ability to leave a lasting legacy. The purpose of this documentary is not just to look back on the past but to honor her immense contribution to the art of storytelling. It’s a celebration of a career that has shaped film history, and it’s a reminder that the stories and performances of the past continue to resonate in the present.

@pbanthony4105 What you have stated is correct . She was a good actress and appeared in some good films.
The fact that Hollywood doesn't use her talents any longer is more a reflection on the Hollywood and entertainment industry than on her. Martin Sheen who is an excellent actor once said about being remembered "It's Hollywood, nobody remembers actors someone else comes along and it's their turn maybe some movie buff will remember but in general movies and actors are for a certain time period. It's not that important."

I don't think you'd have loved it that much if the doc had adressed the rumour about that urin-spitting fest on Polanski because Faye herself went mad, and justifyingly so, during an interview for the British newspaper " The Guardian" when the journalist suggested it to her. She, of course, rejected the rumour, which is just that, by pointing out how offensive it was to even imagine one flicker of a second that a woman like her would do such a crude thing and how people were incredibly insensitive towards her feelings , in that respect, to carry on spreading this unsubstantiated story. She added that she was a lady and had manners ( which is true, tantrums aside which is another story and quite a different way of expressing strong feelings, sometimes amply justified, it must be said). Polanski tore one strand of her hair that was protruding and she snapped, that's all (as well as she should have as there were other ways to solve a minor hairdressing problem, really, and I can't even begin to imagine any director, not even Polanski himself, doing that to a Redford, a Nicholson or a Dustin Hoffman. Nor can I even begin to imagine their reaction if such a thing had happened, but it wouldn't have anyway). But men are just plain crazy. Feeling so entitled (for no reason other than the dominant culture) that they don't even begin to see where the problem is. That you just don't tear Faye Dunaway's hair, your leading actress, for Chrissake !!! Nor do you any other women's hair for that matter, and without notice and catching her unguarded!! .That should be as simple as that. But no, it seems that to some people, it is not that that obvious and they go on justifying the story by adding a demeaning comment and rumour on the woman as if she were responsible in the first place. I read somewhere someone said she was batshit crazy, I say that this insensitive tearing of one of her hair without any consideration for the person and , catching her unguarded, is the batshit crazy thing. Maybe that's the sort of things that damage you in the long run and cause you to snap and snap again, that utter lack of respect towards you that makes you fed up with it all and turn you into a defensive sort of person. But I know I think different , I' ve always been told. Story of my life....

What did you not like about the documentary ? Have you ever met Faye Dunaway ?

      I met her twice.
      Horrible Woman.
First on the set of a movie in the 1960's.
Then again in the 1990's while she was doing Master Class - touring company.
The documentary didn't really cover the Bi Polar. Her strange exploits have been well documented thru the years. It appears she is living in assisted living in NY?
