What a beautiful video, Yassin. I was born in Kenya and left the country to join my family here in England at the tender age of 8. My mother is a Kenyan-Somali (Ogadeni) born in Nanyuki and my dad is Borana/Oromo also born in Nanyuki (he was in Kenya Airbase, Nanyuki). So to watch this intermingled cultural video from Kenyans, makes me want to come visit Kenya without the anxieties of cultural clashes. I was not raised speaking any of my mother tongues but i speak Swahili fluently (and i am learning Kikuyu at the moment (been learning for 2 and half years...i am able to speak and read it 80%) . The admiration and friendship between Yassin, the Somalis and the Rendilles and the togetherness of those beautiful tribes that make Kenya the diverse gem it is. I am turning 30 soon and i'll make sure next summer, i will be returning to Kenya after i left as a baby, and tour all different parts of it! That's a mission. Pamoja and blessings to all my Kenyan families.
I liked how you added the Boorana's legend Artist Abdullah Jirma's background sound upon entering Isiolo(we call it Waaso) and Marsabit (we also call it Saakhu)❤ Horii Bulii Deeban
I had to stop midway to look at your channel details and past videos. You sounded like a journalist and I was like...."What is going on here?" I deduced right. You are a professional at storytelling on TV. You are a journalist!! This is awesome 👌🏼. I pray I will be able to grow that trait too, and here is to more videos!!
Mko home, but eating breakfast in the car 😂 Why didn’t the first car take you straight to Marsabit? Thanks for the video. Post two looks like it’s going to be 🔥 What is it coming out?
Beautiful
