Thank you so much for this! Just wanted to double check, if I only want to use the data from my e-sim while travelling should I toggle the primary/physical sim's 'turn on this line' off? And then my primary sim will be completely unaffected by this when I return from travelling? Thank you!! :)
if you need nothing from your normal/primary line (calls/texts, call notifications, voicemail notices, etc) then you can disable that sim until you return; to avoid roaming charges, I'd turn off roaming or disable the sim just before you leave that country (ie. when you're boarding the plane, or 10min away from a land border)
Hi, It’s my first time to using this app. When I arrive in final destination, should I switch to cell phone to airplane mode and turn off my primary SIM card on my phone?
Can you please explain how to turn off your carrier service when you travel overseas. On the old phones you just take off the SIM card.. how would you do it with Esim now ?
Feel like I've missed out on this sort of thing and more people need to wake up to the advantage of it. In the UK, some carriers now charge for a lot of packages or they do these 'day rate data passes' which look a bit scammy to be honest for the price. With the cost of one of these, you're paying less than what they charge. I'm going to Bali, Kuala Lumpa and Singapore soon and this is on my list as a must do. Great content and appreciate the help
In my experience, Wow eSim has always been great and budget-friendly. Setup is easy, connection is quick via the app - just tap data roaming in your phone settings, scan QR code upon arrival and you're ready to go!
Well, Airalo is available world wide it’s not a US exclusive. In fact, it’s great for people visiting the US since you get access to the leading carriers.
I have traveled to multiple continents. I buy a local sim card when I get to a country, and use my old phone with it. But mainly, I use Whatsapp. This video is nothing but a sim card ad. I am sorry I watched it. I won't call it disinformation because it does work, but wow is this ever not the cheapest and easiest way.
If you need to go to a store to purchase a SIM card you’re already making the process harder vs downloading an app and activating a SIM card through e-sim… the pricing is also comparable to local prices so not sure how that’s a problem. There was a portion of the video dedicated to using apps like WhatsApp in this video as well as how to use your current phone. As far as this video being an ad, I clearly stated in the beginning that I partnered with Airalo it’s also in the description. Sounds to me like you didn’t pay attention to the video and instead are choosing to leave a negative comment because of this. In any case, sorry you didn’t find it useful. Have a great day ✌️…
I was recently in Costa Rica and I tried to Use Airlo, Never worked...Dude you're a Computer phone guy. To us normal people its confusing and so I never used it because it was so difficult....MAKE A HOW TO VIDEO FOR US DUMMIES.....Thank you
I had T Mobile awhile back as well. Loved their service but due to the consecutive data breaches my information was stolen multiple times and they locked my account so I could not use my iPhone 14 Pro when it arrived. Regardless, I agree that is a great option and glad you are enjoying it. Many people do not have offerings like that on their carriers especially people coming to the US from other countries which makes Airalo a great option. My camera man had to use it when he visited his family in Vietnam.
Where are you planning on visiting this year??

Try Airalo E-Sim now! geni.us/dLTN
Thanks. You're the first video who clearly explained about toggling off the primary carrier.

In your phone settings, where you see your setup eSim you can disable the sim, delete it, or adjust the features the eSim can use on your phone

Very helpful video few people are honest about the headaches 😮😊
Appreciate that! Yeah, I’ve dealt with a lot of headaches when traveling in the past so this was a cool video that I was lucky enough to partner on.
Very useful and productive content...thank u J Casey❤️🙏
Thank you, I’m glad it was helpful!
only thing worth mentioning... every speedtest takes around 100 mb. so avoid doing them esp if you have purchased a 1 GB sim card for the weekend
Great Video
I plan on visiting some of my relatives in Nicaragua
That’s dope! Have you been before?
@@OT4Tech yeah years ago when I was younger

@@OT4Techso if my phone is locked I can’t use any e sim at all? I’m planning to travel next month and trying to get this taken care of

@@OT4Tech Yeah, that corner store is really tough to get to. But I always manage anyway, as it has Ron Anejo too(at least in the Americas)

@@OT4Tech I'm confused, will the US eSim will work in other countries or should we install our visiting countries' eSim?
Amen
I’m confused…when I travel internationally and get an eSim I won’t get a local number and I won’t be able to use my “American” number either?
one big ad...
I'm guessing this doesn't work for "locked phone"
1st view.....

I have T-mobile. I have unlimited text and data in 260 countries.
