Can I just say how much I love watching these early set duels with all the cool strategies/decks people try out before we get the same old high rated duels using the same lame ass strategies/engines once the format settles. There is just something so much cooler about these duels.

Hi dbgrinder, drytron player here and long time watcher. I'm excited to see that 1 of my games has been finally featured on your channel, on the other hand I'm a bit sad to see that it was 1 of the games where I'm trying a new deck that I don't know how to play decently. Definitely did lots of mistakes and the endboard wasn't the best either but then again, I don't know how to play drytron, also the DRNM comment at the end was a bit unnecessary but I was a bit tilted. I hope that if I get featured on your channel again in the future I'm playing a deck that at least I know how to play.

You could play the magikey lvl 4 ritual to add an out for drnm

The only combination that makes sense from the engine alone
lurrie is mandatory, you cannot use him to chain block starfire

the musketeers are cool as hell, my favorite deck. Imo the ideal ratio with the fiendsmith stuff is probably 2-3 starfire, 1 caspar, 1 calamity, and 1 doc. Starfire is just the best one to see now that Tractus and Fiendsmith can easily search her out, and activating anything under her gets you to the crazy stuff
If the drytron player loses to DRNM he can play the magikey package
or use afd to search secret village
Drytron has two decent spell/traps that can be easily searched (by fafnir and nu2 -> ursatron alpha). Drytron Asterism and Drytron Meteor Shower. The continous trap is also good for summoning one of the big buys on the opponent's turn. Would help with DRNM, droplet, etc
Edit: also ofc the magikey ritual and counter trap
Fiendmusket ruinck is pretty nice
They do have a way to add back the dancing needle if they play magical musketeer Doc 😂.

Hey guys, VERY IMORTANT RULING to remember when it comes to the new ritual. It cannot negate monsters with 0 ATK. I don't fully understand why, but that's how it's ruled. keep it in mind since there are a lot of 0 atk monsters out there especially hts.
it's like ritual summoning. "equal or exceed" means you can pay the exact amount, or you can pay multiple times if none of them are exact, but you can't pay the exact amount and then extra. if you're trying to pay 0, you can't pay the exact amount, and any attempt to pay is always extra, so you can't pay at all. this is also why meteonis drytron can't ritual summon monsters with 0 atk, and probably why they printed so many ritual monsters with 0 atk after drytron was released.
@@ungulatemanalpha its odd though cuz it can negate monsters with over 0 atk but below 2000 atk.
@@ungulatemanalphaI think that last part is so BS by Konami. I don’t understand why they can’t just change ritual summon requirements to need atleast one monster, unless otherwise said by card text. It’ll fix the can’t summon 0 atk rituals. Rituals already need all the help they can get and having this weird limitation doesn’t do it any favors.
you know I'm surprised people aren't testing the Feindsmith with Live twin. one of them is a light fiend link. sure you can't go fiendsmith combo first then live twin due to how the main deck monsters work but most of the time the regular live twin combo isn't that impressive and Fiendsmith let's them extend past the regular combo to set up like a knightmare gryphon lock. side/main decking dark ruler is wild considering snake eyes is still the best deck and can play around dark ruler naturally.

The Drytron player only scratched the surface on what the deck can do. There are ways to bypass you can only ritual summon machine monsters but, its going to require further testing to see if its worth it.
How do u do that ? Just not use or play nu2 ?
Playing the turn skip rituals is sooop boring. It may be worse playing machine only, but it looks like way more fun
So fiendsmith,musketeers, fable cool deck but fiendsmith doing all the work and also even if you can go into fable, monsters, fable, monster, you can really go into also nib

End board was alright, 1 spell/trap negate, probably 1 monster negate, probably 1 pop, and an SP. could be worse, could be a lot better
