She’s half black and white. We all know that. Now turning the page. If you look at her youthful face, facial features and body type shes just got it. All she needs is the red hair. 🧜♀️

Because Zendaya has dark skin, Arial has white skin and Arial has a european facial feature, Zendaya doesn't, she has a part european, part African facial feature, she wouldn't make Arial look original, Arial need's to remain looking original, otherwise it will look like its some other mermaid portraying as Arial!
It may not bother you that the character's don't look like the original character's, but for some people it dose!

I think that this rumor should remain a rumor. In fact, I don't think Zendaya would be perfect for the role of Ariel in the live-action/CGI remake of "The Little Mermaid", but I know someone who would be and that's... Francesca Angelucci Capaldi! She has long red hair and a beautiful voice, just like Ariel, and if they cast Noah Schnapp, who is very handsome with short black hair, as Prince Eric, it would be as if Disney brought Charlie Brown and the little red-haired girl together.
