I think slot said he wanted the job, Liverpool contacted slot to confirm this, and after slot said yes it’s true I would like to manage Liverpool, the club said that’s great you’re hired
So many top clubs are looking for a new manager but we are the only ones interested in this one.
He was also on the shortlist of Bayern and Barca, so that's not true.
How old will Arne Slot be in our team Liverpool fc?
Don't get carried away with this appointment....
Everyone's expectations are high because we're so desperate to kick on from klopp.
Klopp is/was a one off. This Arne Slot guy has done very well (by all accounts) in the Dutch League, far removed from the demands of the premiership league!
I hear from the opening segments of this show, there's a little bit of klopp within him, there's a little bit of Guardiola in there too. What a lot of rubbish (being polite).
Arne is his own man with his own set of skills & it's going to take a bit more than having a bit of charisma to succeed here!
And I have to say, I think
L. F. C didn't/dont have much to choose from, when it came to who was available for the job.
Klopps departure was always going to unbalance the club, but no matter how long a notice he gave, I don't believe there's anyone that stands out to take over & improve on what we currently have/had. Mo Salah's recent antics suggests there's going to be worsening problems ahead.
Would have wished the Xabi Alonso's rumour would have come off, but I think even for him, this appointment would have been to big, & I understand the reasons why he stayed put.

A few of years ago I asked myself 'Who is this Klopp guy?'. I see no reason to worry, for at least 6 months, about Slot. YNWA RIP97

That's not very positive....best you stop watching or supporting Liverpool...find yourself another team !!
@davidkotze4140 What is the negative about the comment? If you can't see that Slot is not suitable for the job, then go to a doctor.
Is this LFC or Klopp FC?
Why the obsession with finding a "klopp 2.0"?
Were other teams who needed attacking coach blind to Arne's existence?
I fear LFC are just doing the same thing they do with scouting players like Núñez, get someone top teams know about but don't really go after, without asking why haven't the big fish snatched them up? Or tried!
