As someone who struggles to actually wake up, even with tons of alarms set, alarmo has been a god send for me. With the alarm turning back on if it detects you back in bed and it only turning off once you’re out of bed, it’s really been a help with fixing my sleep schedule. But I can’t deny that the sound effects really do get annoying quick
My biggest complaints so far are 1. You can’t extend the sleep sounds past the set 5 minutes and 2. You can’t test the alarm sounds before you set it. That one caused me to wake up out of pure embarrassment when I picked great fairy fountain as my alarm and the sound effects started playing…
As someone with similar problems, I'm wondering: is it possible to completely disable/turn off the alarm while it's going off? Sometimes I've completely turned off alarm clocks instead of snoozing them and gotten back in bed before my mind is all the way awake, so I might be really interested in the alarmo if I can't just turn it off and go back to sleep so easily.
Bit late to the party, but I paid like $3 for a heavy sleeper alarm app (unnecessary, but wanted to support the devs). It has a bunch of custom options, like ways of turning off the alarm (captcha, math, movement, etc) and will go off every X minutes until you're up and disable the silent "are you awake?" notification. And I've used Nintendo audio, like Dire Dire Docks at increasing volume until it's blaring at me lol.

on one hand, as someone who really struggles to wake up, i do think the alarmo is cool, but... not $100 cool, especially because my bedside table is behind my head, so i wouldnt even be able to make use of the motion sensor function, which feels like the whole point of the thing. i dont think the more... menacing tunes would phase me tbf. i legitimately do have panic attacks in my sleep already (yes it sucks just as bad as it sounds), so like. being assaulted by salmonids is frankly an improvement... I'll stick to pokemon sleep lmao.
The only reason Nintendo released the alarm clock is to put a sacrifice between the switch and switch two. The GameCube bombed but the Wii was a huge success, the WiiU was a dumpster fire, but the switch was a winner. They want an in between for the switch two.
I have a rather extensive library of video game music stored on my phone, so I often pull tracks from that to use as an alarm in the rare case that I need it. My basic alarm doesn't have anything special like the Great Fairy completing, but I can wake up to Sonic's drowning theme or the Anxiety track from Celeste. I haven't actually tried the Anxiety track yet, but I switched to it because it has a more gradual start up while still hitting that intensity that the Sonic drowning theme hits, just it's more so like I can see the bag of bricks falling towards me as opposed to being blindsided.
Gosh man, I really wish it was any price other than 100$ cause genuinely, as goofy as it sounds, it feels like it was specifically targeted at my specific sleep problems I've been waking up to video game music for a while, and I'm always pretty darn good at the whole "waking up" part; but my biggest issue is that most mobile alarms that do music... Just... Stop the music as soon as you check your phone, or don't do anything to really keep the ball rolling once I'm out of bed, and it causes me to pretty much "give up" on the waking up early part and lay down until the very last minute I can't understate how annoying it is to wake up to an exciting track that really makes me wanna get started for the day, to roll over and check my phone for the exact time, and than for my phone to shut off all music as soon as it wakes up from sleep mode. The big thing I've always wanted is something to transition from a "wake up" song to something that will accompany me as I get out of bed in my apartment, walk a few feet to my little kitchen and keep the mood going so I can actually have something related to a normal wake up period instead of just putting it off till the very last minute when I know I NEED to get out of bed Hecc, I'm still probably more tempted to buy Alarmo despite the flaws (maybe even see if I can pick up a second hand one) even with it's flaws and lackluster launch stuff Cause I know, some magnificent denizen of god's green earth is going to figure out a way to jailbreak it and get custom music and sounds on there. And if it's not going to be someone else, than gosh darn it it's going to be me.
Truth be told I'd want a update that lets me shorter or skip the normal alarms for the hurry up ones. I WOULD like to be jolted out of bed by the Guardian lock on. It worked. Slept thought the Rock monster but JUMPED out of bed when that beeping hit.
I had a similar thing to the salmon run alarm for college I would have the pillar man awaken theme as my alarm noise. It helped for those 5:30 wake ups
Oh my god yeah the Pillar Men theme is a really stressful alarm. You wake up to "AY-YA-YA" knowing you have exactly 0.1 seconds until you're assaulted by a super loud bass drop. When I lived with my family, for a while I had my alarm set to Yarinchin Bitch Club's opening, because when I heard it I knew I had about ten seconds to get up and turn off the alarm before my entire family heard a young Japanese man shout "I WANT TO TOUCH YOUR BODY". Nothing gets you moving quite like panic.
My phone can do something that Alarmo can't...wake me up with Monster Hunter battle tracks!!! ROOAAR!!! 🦖 But nah. This seems like a $30-50 novelty thing.(at the very most) Its cute, but besides the game sounds as you wake up, i don't see what my phone cant do...

He obsessively listens to every song and sound effect in every Nintendo game. I do wonder who else would like this experience. I’m excited for them to add Mario Kart scenes. on one hand, as someone who really struggles to wake up, i do think the alarmo is cool, but... not $100 cool, especially because my bedside table is behind my head, so i wouldnt even be able to make use of the motion sensor function, which feels like the whole point of the thing.
i dont think the more... menacing tunes would phase me tbf. i legitimately do have panic attacks in my sleep already (yes it sucks just as bad as it sounds), so like. being assaulted by salmonids is frankly an improvement...
I'll stick to pokemon sleep lmao.
There is an option to have it behind your bed, like it literally asks you where the night stand is located during the set up.
@samandcheese_1225 is there? noted! i still dont think i could justify buying it, but thats good to know.
People who dance to their alarm sounds in their dreams will have the worst experience ever.
There’s a bunch of depression going on in Japan. Maybe this is a way to help motivate people to get out of bed so they can work 996.
It's crazy that an alarm clock is getting free dlc instead of releasing with the full roster
For $100 it should have literally every song Nintendo has ever produced for their games
14:30 can't wait for someone to injure themselves trying to unlock the green mario outfit.
3:10 me every morning
Gosh man, I really wish it was any price other than 100$ cause genuinely, as goofy as it sounds, it feels like it was specifically targeted at my specific sleep problems
I've been waking up to video game music for a while, and I'm always pretty darn good at the whole "waking up" part; but my biggest issue is that most mobile alarms that do music...
Just... Stop the music as soon as you check your phone, or don't do anything to really keep the ball rolling once I'm out of bed, and it causes me to pretty much "give up" on the waking up early part and lay down until the very last minute
I can't understate how annoying it is to wake up to an exciting track that really makes me wanna get started for the day, to roll over and check my phone for the exact time, and than for my phone to shut off all music as soon as it wakes up from sleep mode.
The big thing I've always wanted is something to transition from a "wake up" song to something that will accompany me as I get out of bed in my apartment, walk a few feet to my little kitchen and keep the mood going so I can actually have something related to a normal wake up period instead of just putting it off till the very last minute when I know I NEED to get out of bed
Hecc, I'm still probably more tempted to buy Alarmo despite the flaws (maybe even see if I can pick up a second hand one) even with it's flaws and lackluster launch stuff
Cause I know, some magnificent denizen of god's green earth is going to figure out a way to jailbreak it and get custom music and sounds on there.
And if it's not going to be someone else, than gosh darn it it's going to be me.
It could easily be $200. Also, its pretty easy to put on music after you wake up
the lyrics stopping when you stop moving is so funny to me
Dude id wake up to sticky sheets with the fairy fountain every night
some of these movement-triggered sounds are just straight-up obtrusive 😂 ur reactions were amazing
I'm kinda irritated they didn't use Navi constantly saying "listen" to get your ass up and out of bed to turn it off
imagine haveing a lucid dream and then ur splitoon alarm goes off💀
Truth be told I'd want a update that lets me shorter or skip the normal alarms for the hurry up ones. I WOULD like to be jolted out of bed by the Guardian lock on. It worked. Slept thought the Rock monster but JUMPED out of bed when that beeping hit.
Not the drowning pikmin ☠️
This won't help people who have "tetris effect" while sleeping. They'll dream out their splatoon ptsd.
ROOAAR!!! 🦖
But nah. This seems like a $30-50 novelty thing.(at the very most) Its cute, but besides the game sounds as you wake up, i don't see what my phone cant do...
If you stay in bed, characters will keep WHAT!?
coming.... to wake you

"I got off easy with the great fairy fountain"
your words not mine brother
Lacking amiibo functionality 😢 Paywall those unlocks!
Lmaoo could you imagine
Parents from another room must think this is hilarious that their weird kid thinks they need this.
Great video, thank you for the demo!! We got this for my son as one of his Chanukkah presents. He’s autistic and Nintendo games are his special interest. He obsessively listens to every song and sound effect in every Nintendo game.
I do wonder who else would like this experience. I’m excited for them to add Mario Kart scenes.
Also I’m autistic AND have narcolepsy type 2, so I could see myself trying something like this if things got bad enough. For now, narcolepsy medications are doing the trick 😉
I need heavy alarms, I always sleep through slow alarms. This alarm clock has changed my whole entire sleeping habits, I’ve never slept through my alarm, or stopped my alarm and went back to bed. It really wakes me up so well!
This is my favorite sleep channel
Considering the fact that I grow to hate everything I set as an alarm or a ringtone, this would ruin every Nintendo property for me.
What's it like being an insane person? Kinda a banger video.
as someone who turns off their alarm in his sleep, this thing has kind of changed the game
I'd buy this for 60 at most
If it were $60 it would be in my room right now 🤣
Great Fairy boutta get this video demonetized
Thank you for telling me not to buy the thing I already wasn't going to buy
"Theres Beasts In My Room" Killed Me
With the fact theyre adding animal crossing into it they could actually connect Alarmo into their games.
such as getting rewards in pokemon go for waking up on time. I dunno, but. Actually integrate alarmo into their games
My guy with a gorgeous Pyre poster. I need to beat that game...
When the advertisement for this first came out, I thought it would be terrifying to wake up to the Guardian theme and it's the laser shooting sound effect when you move
