I was hoping that last shot Grace Berger let go at the last seconds of the game would go in. That would have been an Awesome way to end the Fever Regular Season.
We were all rooting for it. I was almost tapped out when the "comeback happened". Berger and saxton put it on. Makesmyou wonder why thesenplayers haven't been utilized. Imthink it is because sidesmfavors Katy Lou, wheeler and Wallace and in general sides doesn't understand hernown personell and what works. Sides is a terrible coach and our perimeter defense is nonexistent as we double team and overhelp in the paint.
I love Grace Berger...and I say that as a CC stan. I felt bad for her college, always losing to CC's heroics when Berger would ball out. And now she is the third string pg in Indiana...I want her to have a redemption story. I want her to hit the game winning shot in a big game. She has loved the Fever since she was a little girl...I want her to win for once. Hit a vital shot for the team she grew up watching!

And Christie Sides couldn't even give them the respect to call a time out, and draw them up a play at the end of the game. It was a fun game for sure. But damn, It just shown how bad of a coach Christie Sides is. She didn't call a time out when Kelsey Mitchel was hurt. Then she had TWO opportunities to call a time out at the end of the game, to give those players a chance to win the game. Mad props to the bench though for coming though and giving the fans an entertaining game to watch. But I sure do hope this is Side's last season as a coach of the Fever. She is way out of her league
The bench came out there and hustled, everyone contributed to points either by assists, 3`s or driving layups. This was great for them to really play. They have earned more time for minutes on the floor. That`s all they need, more minutes.
Yea I really feel like a lot of the battle for rookies and players in general is time on the floor. We've seen so many Rookies take off once given opportunity but its hard to know what you have until you give them time. Hopefully with expansion more talent gets to shine.
It was the last opportunity for the bench to show the stuff they're made of, of course they played their butts off. if they showed their worth then Sides might see it and give chance to them, as if Sides can't see it during their practices

SO, I picked up my book and started reading. They seemed to be getting blown out...each time I looked up (at the screen). THEN, they were set on fire...and Marie said, "Set your book down, and start watching this...they look like they might win this game." So, like all smart husbands, I listened to her and set the book aside. What an exciting end to the game. ALMOST. Man, almost. Wouldn't that have been GREAT? Ugh. So close. My issue is that Sides did not call an immediate time out once Mitch was injured. She call no time out to stop the bleeding in 1st Quarter. No time out to set a last play end of 4th. Sides gotta go! Her couching errors are basic techniques a coach learn in jr high
Bless her heart…she tries. But most of her decisions are based on FEAR rather than confidence. The Fever are growing as a team and she will as well, but not quick enough to earn us a championship this year, which they COULD get if the coaching was better.

I love when players get opportunities which I have found out is a large portion of the battle for rookies and other talent in the league. It takes in game time at this level to truly develop. I'm happy the league is expanding so that more talent can shine.
Very impressed by both ladies. Berger this season is 72.5% of games DNP! I thought that she was a rubbish player. No. She can ball. I do not understand why Sides chooses to freeze her to a piece of brick. If Fever wants championship this year, they must play Berger and Saxton. Both ladies are good in defense. Berger does not concede open three. She can defend. Saxton protects the rim well. This is the defense Fever needs. Fever has their defend assets. But they never want to use their defensive asset. Great video! I checked out for 2 parts of the game. Put my head down for what felt like 60 seconds and the Fever was losing by 18 and I was like-- "what in the absolute..." Then I looked up and we were down by 5. GO GO GO! Was a fun watch.

The things is that when the team was mixed with bench and non-bench, they were playing horribly. When the all bench came in, everything changed. Those girls made one of the greatest comebacks I've seen.

I'm going to give Fever the Tom Brady treatment, mainly bc of Clark. Brady wasnt always on the best team in the playoffs, but the saying went.. "there's one guy you don't bet against in sports, and it's Tom Brady." I don't care what his team looks like, what the oddmakers say, he puts together some magical game or game winning drive and ends winning the superbowl. Sure, Brady is the goat of his craft. Am i saying Caitlin is the goat? No.. not yet at least. But I've seen her back to back years in college go on these magical runs behind magical big game performances, and lost to the much better team in the end. Two things: ONE, these teams are much closer in competition. Iowa was far inferior to SC and LSU, and were blown out. On the other hand, Fever beat Liberty, beat Sun, and went toe to toe with Aces. TWO, Clark didn't have a Kelsey Mitchell.. she's got a partner in crime now, which leads me to this.. All 5 teams above Fever are better on paper. Sun could beat Fever, and if they don't, Lynx SHOULD beat them, and ultimately win it all. As long as the Fever are in the playoffs, i am not betting against Caitlin Clark. They are not only who I'm pulling for, but who i think will WIN IT ALL.
