I had this watch for a while and love it. it was a pleasant surprise to have it reviewed by you. Great review as usual. I highly recommend this watch. I get tons of compliments when wearing it. Thanks again Sir and Happy Father's day
As an owner, the good thing about the left hand black lump is it completes the symmetry for the watch case, as its on the right hand side too at the crown, my four penneth
The Citizen lume lasts just as long as the Seiko from my tests. The only difference is that the Seiko has a higher maximum brightness. However that initial max brightness fades quickly to the Citizen’s level and then they both pretty much remain the the same over the course of a night.
great review as always. in my opinion it is a worthy successor to the zilla.. the one issue with citizen that has always baffled me is they have 300m depth rating for these watches..but yet the aqualand versions their top line divers only have 200m ratings..any idea why?? have a happy Father's day. best, jc
That lume lasts all night. Not as initially bright as a Seiko, but it has beat them in lume wars videos for longevity. It seems to hold and release the light energy stored in the lume slower and steadier.
I bought 2, one for me , one for my son. I am a diver. In over 150 dives, the mineral crystal has never scratched. It is very reasonably priced and keeps great time. My only complaint is the the black bezel takes a beating. For me, a rubber strap is a must for on/off wetsuits. The lume is outstanding. (I own seiko Sumo and Rolex submariner, btw)
such a pity about the black bit just stuck on the side. I don't even care for it round the crown. if they could just have done the whole case in stainless steel it would've been so much easier on the eye. nice review anyhow.
Lug size is actually 23mm which is an oddity. If you try to put this on Nato, you need a real thin material, because of the case shape around the lugs.
A sapphire crystal wouldn't be a shock resistant as the crystal used here. But make it more expensive and ok more scratch resistant. But a good quality tablet screen protector cut to size will take a beating for diving purposes.
Same, but I managed to source a bracelet with solid end-links for it since I found the strap to be too long and not super breathable after long hours of wear. Downside, bracelet cost more than the watch by quite a bit.
I’ve just purchased one of these and was wondering if anyone has converted to a metal bracelet? (preferably built into the case) get back to me as I’m desperate to convert
Yes you can buddy but the metal strap is not cheap from Watch. Co.uk model number bj-2111 Costs £112 You can try online but this one is a perfect fit The size is 23mm
@@tonydav245 I bought it, it is way to expensive for what you get, the endlinks are solid to be fair, but the bracelet and clasp are just folded metal and tend to pull hairs. So what I did was also purchase an Uncle Seiko president style bracelet with the inverted endlinks and it is "almost" a perfect fit. I had to file down the bracelet a bit to get it to articulate. Overall I am happy with it, but sadly the end result is a bracelet than cost almost 1.5X the cost of the watch itself.
Strap is too damn long if you're not a diver. Put a black NATO strap on mine and feels and looks much nicer than a slimy rubber strap. Jmo. However, I did get an after market orange rubber strap for that cool, Ocean Crawler look for when I'm swimming or lounging around and getting drunk at a pool party somewhere. 🙂
I love your channel and your reviews but whenever a man describes a strap with the word supple it reminds me of a woman’s soap commercial lol jk but great review!
I’ve owned this watch for near on two years. It’s a real tough “ do anything, you won’t kill me watch” ... great value !
I have added this watch to my growing collection. Im just in love with this watch gets the boys talking every time l wear it !!

Iso certified diver with 300 m water resistance and great lume for only 160 bucks on Amazon this watch is a killer for the price
Agreed!
Its the best Diver for the money hands down. Most 300m Swiss Divers start at £850.
Excellent review 👍 I wanted to know if the bezel is fixed or movable ... because its functioning is very important in a Diver.
What do do if it's not working
If it is fixed, it’s not a real diver.
@@e28forever30 Hi. I have this exact watch. The bezel is unidirectional counter clock wise. Super nice watch. Hope this helps. Dan (Québec, Canada)
Thank you for this review, need to see this watch
Just returned my Ecozilla and went for one of these.

What is your wrist size?
Just bought one used for $100 Canadian.

Happy Father's Day! Great review too!
Big man watch for big wrist men. Love it
Nice cheerful review and a nice cheerful watch!
Thank you!
Received this on my 18th birthday.

Nice review, one question is it an Ip coated bezel or dlc?
Thanks and IP coated I believe. DLC would be too expensive at this price point.
MAVERICK WATCH REVIEWS thank you

That strap costs $65 if you break it or it wears out - about the third of the price of the watch on Amazon. No wonder it feels so good...
Put a good quality 23mm Nato strap on it.
I have one of these watches. I love it.

I was considering it, but when you pointed out the "missing" part, I kinda lost interest somewhat. Back to the BN0191-55L I guess.
Its a shock absorber like the G-Shock.
Is it true it’s hard to put a nato strap on this piece?
Lord Vertigo No. there’s little cutouts on the underside of the strap that make it easy to take out.
I’ve just purchased one of these and was wondering if anyone has converted to a metal bracelet? (preferably built into the case) get back to me as I’m desperate to convert

Dear lord man...how big is your hands and wrist? This is 47/50mm watch and it looks tiny on you...
Nice review as always..
