Good Job. Transit-oriented communities are the future. You can't keep expanding freeway lanes to 10,12 lanes each directions. Making people using more public transit is the way to go.

Metro Vancouver is on this path, connecting suburban town centres with rapid transit, and spurring development of residential & office towers away from the downtown. About 6 developments are on the go, with some Phase 1 completions already.

all we need is subsidized home ownership program way below market price for the young professionals who currently can't afford more than a room. and still need to have free parking available for our cars.

Lever lands were always going to be developed. East Habour was a stop when it was the Relief line. Of course DoFo will take credit for this.

The housing will most likely be an "affordable" $1.5 million per unit.

I stopped using TTC after I was forced to walk my then 2 year old feet past a homeless man throwing up Captain Morgan in a garbage can at 11am, pregnant, on my way to my very first midwife appointment. That trip takes 45 minutes on TTC and 15 min by car. I called and complained to TTC and strangely I was the baddie because I didn't report it while I was late for my appointment! All of my hare brained relatives empathize with the bu-I mean the homeless man. He's suffering, you know. P.S. LCBO doesn't stop shop lifters anymore, because it is sooooo hopelessly mean to not get to throw up alcohol in front of pregnant women. Poor suffering people. P.P.S. I was walking my toddler because the elevators are broken all of the time and trying to bring a stroller is asking to get stuck somewhere. Anyways, we bought a car, that we shouldn't have needed because we lived steps away from a TTC station.

1- this is nothing new. That is an old Lever Ponds factory and it shut down years ago because it was sold to become condos. I am not sure why it took so long to be turned into condos (maybe zoning or permit laws or environmental reasons?) but it was always intended to become condos for the last decade
2- This sounds like a "great" idea but it is only great for people that can afford a $2 million plus condo and the developers that sell the condos. Doesn't do anything for the majority of the people that need an affordable place to live
3- All the drawings show nice clean buildings and healthy trees. They should have included spray painted walls because there is always at least one a$$hole that feels the need to spray paint a wall. And the trees in a couple of years after being "trimmed" to keep them small and all the other abuse they go through will probably look a little more scraggly then shown in the pictures.
