From Russia to Italy: one of the oil tankers helping finance Putin's war

We travelled to Milazzo, in northern Sicily, to document the arrival of the Tigani.
The oil tanker is owned by Greek tycoon George Economou, one of the shipowners who have exported millions of tonnes of fossil fuels from Russia since the invasion of Ukraine started.
Investigate Europe and Reporters United analysis estimates that Greek ships transported 35% of all fossil fuels leaving Russian ports between 24 February and 31 August. European-linked ships facilitated 55% of the global trade.
With a vast network of ships, Europe is helping to keep Russia’s war economy afloat.
