It doesn't just use samples from the Genesis soundchip - It's a fully FM-Synthesized track. This one sounds like it's made with an OPN2 chip, AKA the Yamaha YM2612 used in the SEGA Genesis.
@@rwall514 sorry to be the contrarian but this sounds more like a YM2151 song, as it sounds like it has much more FM channels and you can also hear more than 1 sample at a time as the ym2151 paired with the sega pcm chip can have 5 sample channels

remembered hearing this back when it got uploaded and really liking it but forgetting to save somewhere, so fast forward 7 years and i'm going through shitposting vídeos about pubg and fortnite when Eschatos OST comes up and this song pops on my head out of nowhere, of course i remembered the girl's pose and the beat but i'll be damned if i could remember this piece's name, i just remembered it had a 2 at the end and the album cover was a grinning anime girl with fire hair, so begins my 4 month long search to find this song anywhere on the internet, with only those aforementioned clues and a whole lot of determination, needless to say, i had to jump through a lot of hoops to find this again
