    Just a recommendation; you should have the bottom 3 fans as intake so they bring in fresh air to the rad. Also make the top 3 fans exhaust because heat rises and with your current setup you're fighting that. Then put the 2 fans in the front as intake and the back fan as exhaust so you have positive pressure. (you always want neutral or positive pressure). Again, just a recommendation. This is based on my findings, and in the end it's your PC so d owhatever the heck you want with it.

    I'm sorry to say that he is using the ek leak tester wrong. When you have that distribution plate, you should only pump it up to 0,30 bar. In the video you can see that air has escaped through the o-rings, and the plate is not clear anymore. Please don't make the same mistake.

    Do I understand correctly that you used an atx motherboard and the heatsinks underneath fit together with the lian li fans? What's the heatsink height? 28mm? And the fans ~25mm? How difficult was it to connect the wires from the bottom of the motherboard?

    Does the tempered glass side panel still fit on with the EK block? Looking at doing something similar but not sure if the EK block will be too big to close the case.

    I think you should reverse the back fan, othterwise it's just exhausting fresh cool air from the top.
    The other option is to use the bottom fans for intake and the top fans for exhaust

      In this specific situaton a negative pressure config might actually work better. I have noticed that in 011 having intake through the rad makes it run much hotter.

    what i really dislike about that distro plate is that it kinda forces you to place the cpu tubes behind each other instead of have inlet and outlet up and down or am i looking at it wrong? i mean, the case can have 2 different spots for distro plates, but all the ones that fit in the front and still allow you to use side radiators dont have the up and down inlet stiles, like the site plates

    Hey, I was wondering what angle fittings did you use to connect the side radiator to the distro plate? (the one in the corner, not the tube bending one.) I have the same setup as you, but I'm having trouble bending that corner tube, and I notice you only had fittings instead of tubings.

      You can fit up to an ATX mobo. If you're putting an ATX mobo in then you can't have a rad in the top but you can have 2x140mm or 3x120mm fans. same for the bottom but on the bottom you can also fit a 280 or 360 rad. as for the back/front (what do you even call that?) you can fit 2x120 or 2x140mm fans. you should also be able to fit a 240/280 rad too but if you're going with the distro plate you'll have to mount the rad behind the fan mount (fan mount in between fans and rad). as for the back, 1x120 fan and I think 1x140 as well.

    • @opiumextract2934
      @opiumextract2934 3 роки тому +1

      Generally speaking, you can mount it vertically. I have the 011 dynamic XL (the case in the video is the 011 mini). I could probably manage a radiator on bottom but the lian li vertical mounting kit seems a bit close to the fans or rad for my liking. Others have stated the coolermaster or phanteks vertical mounting kit are better in regards to clearance. Hope that helps

    Most of your fans are facing the wrong way. Heat rises, so I'm not sure why your intake is from the top and exhausting out of the bottom and back of the case.

    • @MystDaLow
      @MystDaLow 3 роки тому

      heat rises with convection, which is negligible compared to a direct air flow coming from a fan (especially ones with high static pressure), so this might not make much of a difference.

    • @eldiablo6457
      @eldiablo6457 3 роки тому

      @@MystDaLow @Myst It doesn't make sense to battle convection or not take advantage of it if you can. The coldest air available is from the bottom. Also, exhausting out the bottom is just not as efficient. Especially, because you have more resistance pushing heat out of the bottom of the case. It has to go through a radiator, out a possible filter, and then pushed into the floor. That hot air will rise and then be pulled right back into the case. The path of least resistance would be out the top. Hell, the radiator should be in the top if it's possible as well. Is it necessary? Maybe not. Is it the best configuration? Most certainly. Am I nitpicking? Yes. Why? Because I want to help.

    • @MystDaLow
      @MystDaLow 3 роки тому

      @@eldiablo6457 When I say negligible I mean it, this could very well not have any impact in a strong airflow case. Do you think I'm trying to not help? Also can you tell me how blindly following something without any basis is going to help? If I'm correct this could be great since people will have one less shitty constraint to be mindful of when building their PC.

    • @MystDaLow
      @MystDaLow 3 роки тому

      And yes it does make sense to "battle" heat rising through convection because if that phenomenon is 2 orders of magnitude smaller than the airflow, this is basically useless to consider it. Do you consider the wind direction when you take your car and plan your trio? No.

    • @eldiablo6457
      @eldiablo6457 3 роки тому

      @@MystDaLow Actually, I do consider storms, and what you call negligible could be a few degrees difference in temperature. My last system ran for 10 years. I'm an ex Naval avionics technician. Efficiency is bred into me and getting the most out of a system is a good thing. Flipping a few fans is extremely easy and will extend the life of that PC. Not sure why anyone would spend that much money and not do it the best they can.
