So it goes…I was in a hurry and used my Laura Geller with a thick brush (Zoeva 104) - several hours later I looked in the mirror and couldn’t believe how smooth and even toned my skin was. Absolutely no transfer or touch up needed. Since then I use her primer as well and just love it. I’m 68 with very dry skin. The other powders make my face itch and no where near the coverage. I love the eyeshadow as well. I also love Bobbie Brown What The Foundation which I can put on with no moisturizer. These 2 extreme makeup brand work so well for me. I’ll never go back to all those liquid foundations that I’ve spent a fortune on.
I bought it at Beauty Brand which I loved as they helped me select the perfect color. I use it over Laura Geller's Spackle and like it because it's easy to apply and looks good. I'm 68 an always had good skin so never did wear a lot of makeup but now I want to hide my wrinkles. This is easy to use and doesn't look abvious. I'll pay the price.

I've been using this for 15yrs maybe. So long it was only available in the shade Medium back then. I'm actually a Porcelain and Fair shade user. I found my skin redness cleared up after stopping using liquid foundations. I have a couple of Laura's Spackle Primers in a Rose shade and one in Diamond. Both give a slight gleam but no glitter. Tips: For spot concealing use a small eye-shadow brush and dab it on. For on the go: load up the LG Kabuki brush with foundation and retract the brush to take with you in your bag. I've never needed to use it when out as it lasts for hours but it's good to be prepared. Buying from the LG site this last week. I got a Buy 3 items and get 55% off and another 10% at checkout. I'm in the UK so do have to pay £11/$15 shipping but the saving I make with discount codes are more than worth it.

I’m 54 and have always used “dime store” makeup. Most recently I was using Physician’s Formula Super CC as my foundation, but found it to be very powdery and I had to reapply multiple times a day. When it was discontinued I found Laura Geller’s line. I was nervous to try it due to the price tag, but boy am I ever glad I did! It works better than anything I’ve ever used in all my years, and it lasted me 5 months! Plus I got it on sale. I just bought some other products to see if I like them as much as I liked the baked foundation. ☺️
I only started using Laura Geller products last summer, and I love them. I'm 65 and have never been one to wear tons of makeup. But Laura Geller products do exactly what I want them to do - they don't settle in my fine lines and they do make my skin tone much more even. I don't find the prices to be outrageous, and that's largely because the stuff lasts a very long time.

I'm 68 and east Indian - I ordered the color tan, blush, toner and their brush which just arrived. I paid $51 Canadian (all in with shipping and tax) which is $38 USD, direct from their website. I've used the product twice, yesterday and today... NEVER have I worn foundation twice in two days - I use it very rarely (maybe 10 or 12 times a year lol). I've gotta say it's very impressive! And it's reasonable - I use Clarins and, comparatively, that's a fortune.

Now that I am 50+ years old with facial psorasis/eczema, I found LR baked foundation to work best for my skin. I do love using her primer and the staying power was present of the baked foundation was applied. Again, great review of this great product. Total game changer when getting ready for the day.
I am almost 50 and they’re tinted. Moisturizer is absolutely wonderful. I’m actually mostly just been using that and then the blurring in setting powder that I love from her as well. Also, the concealer is great but a little bit goes a long way.
First time viewer, I'm 55 and I've had this in my makeup bag for so long it's probably past it's prime, but--after I watched this I pulled it out and gave it another try. I tend to be a firm medium coverage gal, and just couldn't get this to work for me when I got it originally. Tonight I used brushes I had on hand since I've long lost the LG brush. I also want to add that I got this in a kit with a baked pink blush that I used down to the pan, I love it so much and need a new one, and her lowlight as well. It's perfection. But the foundation didn't impress me. That was then. I just tried it again. I looked at it under my makeup lights and wearing my glasses 😂, and I have to say I don't hate it! I'll try it again tomorrow at work and see how the day goes. If all goes well, I think it's time to get a fresh compact and commit to it. Thanks for your honest and down to earth approach. It's very refreshing.
I am so curious about her "spackle" primer and her blush. Thank you for testing this and giving such great details. I too just got this foundation and i really like it. It seems like Laura Gellar is due for bigger recognition than she currently is getting.
The hydrating sparkle primer is really nice. I bought it for the winter. The blush is beautiful! It lasts all day and the one I got has a glow to it so you really don’t even need a highlighter
I can't speak for the primer, though I've heard you only need a very light hand with it as it goes a very long way. The blush is gorgeous. It is really pigmented, but blends well and builds beautifully so it's easy to start soft and build up to the intensity you want. I have never really worn blush until I tried LG's blush. Love it.
Try the Double Baked full coverage along with the Balance and Bright foundation. Sometimes a little more coverage is nice for evening, etc. Also, I feel the coverage is a bit more kind to my wrinkles as it is a matte which draws less attention to fine and not-so-fine lines.

Have You Tried Buffing It Into The Skin? I Know It Sounds Trivial But Most People Apply Too Much And They Don’t Even Buff In Into The Skin. Moisturizer Is Key… I Use The Spackle And Bobbi Brown Base. Spray Setting Spray Afterwards And That Should Help ❤

Can you speak to using this over sunscreen? I’m a FL gal and Sunscreen is a daily must to limit hyperpigmentation. I don’t use a primer (ever) but do use a setting spray (due to humidity) to help makeup last.
I seriously thought LG was incredibly scammy when I first saw it. I was introduced to it on Facebook, which is almost *never* a good thing! 😅 I kind of went down a rabbit hole on UA-cam, looking at reviews, because they made a point of stating in their facebook add that it was rosacea-friendly. I knew that it got great reviews on all but one of the dozens of vids I watched, but I really didn't expect my own reaction when I first put it on lol. I Kind of wish I'd recorded it, because I ended up being one of those "Oh I can barely see it... oh wait... What... WHAT THE HELL!! Where's my redness gone?! Where did the scarring go?!" while squinting incredulously into the mirror. The imperfections start to show through a little by the end of the day, but they aren't *worse* and they aren't highlighted by the fading makeup. I swear by it now, because with my primer and a little concealer it somehow actually calms down the horrible burning of the rosacea rather than exacerbating it, and doesn't end up all flakey and horrible as the rosacea changes throughout the day. I'm so incredibly happy with their products. I love the eyeshadow and blush too.

The lip combo that has been my go-to, is pairing Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Lip Gloss in Pink Ginger with a lip liner such as e.l.f Love Triangle Lip Filler Liner in Light Brown or Italia Lip Liners in Hazelnut or Hot Cocoa. I line and fill in my lips with the liner and then use the gloss as a topper. I bought the Italian Deluxe Ultra Fine lip liners from Amazon. They came in a 12 pc set and have a really great shade range!
So one of you wore a separate concealer under your eyes. Did one of you use this under your eyes? I have the new elf primer but have not tried it. I’m also worried since I have cool/neutral undertones will this even work for me. I’m so interested in it now because you two are so excited about it

I was just watching another UA-camr that said she could only get it to last about 4-5 hours. Do think the longevity for you ladies was due to using primer? How many hours before it fades?
@pnevlud We tested the product with and without a primer and we saw no change in longevity. We wore the product for around 8 to 9 hours and while it definitely faded by the end of the day, we still loved how our skin looked!
I’m 65 Y/O light skin….So I got light I thought this should be perfect, boy was I wrong 😑, the LG foundation looked horrible on me, I’m very disappointed ☹️..overall this makeup would have been good for me because of the wrinkles.
@judy - I became obsessed trying to find the “Porcelain” shade after so many said the fair/light shades made them look orange. Finally paid FULL price on QVC for the porcelain and brush set. 1) Takes sooo long to pack into and cover skin 2) Porcelain = GHOSTLY! 3)No good with my SPF & daily ‘Serums.’ It settled right into fine lines. 4) No one at LG ever truly helps when you contact. Love their baked blush; baked highlighters; bro zer and shadows - but now I feel u comfy with LG! These 2 beautiful ladies get LG free, so they remain neutral for. Their replies.

I have not had a very good experience dealing with the company Laura Geller Beauty. It was my very first order with them too so it's be very disappointing. I had my order arrive damaged so I filled out all the forms and pics they needed and was told I would receive a refund without having to return the product - My thoughts were "That's great customer service and I was impressed". BUT that is not the case as that was back in Nov of last year and I have Not seen the refund yet!! And haven't had any luck trying to reach them- I've emailed them at least 5 times now But nobody is contacting me with an update. Every time I send them an email, I receive an email back from them saying they will contact me within 24 hours BUT no one ever does!!!! I have yet to hear back from them. Very disappointing. Definitely will Never order from them again!!!!
I just placed my first order with them a few weeks ago for the foundation and brush, I ordered the Balance and Brighten and they sent me the Balance and Glow instead which I don't want. I went through their exchange portal and sent a picture and they were going to ship me another one, well I got another Balance and Glow. At least I got the blush and bronze I ordered, but I am doubtful that I will order from them in the future. I might try and order the foundation from a different source instead if I still want to try it. But yes, really disappointing. I was reading a lot of reviews and there are plenty of bad reviews mixed in with the good ones. I should have listened to my instincts and not ordered at all.
@graninab (too): My instinct tells me that these nice ladies are getting LG products for free. Must be influencers/Testers. One doesn’t have to work for company to receive free products. LG’s customer service SUCKS! Even though their BAKED foundations (bright or glow) didn’t work for me, as it doesn’t work for many (Takes too long to layer; can’t be used with other companies’ primers; can’t be used with ANY skin care serums underneath or SPFs b/c it flakes/settles into lines etc.). I adored their blush and highlighters! But I found better and cheaper similar foundations with the myriad of other companies that make them too. Look for endorsements that aren’t being touted by influencers who get them free.
Don’t sweat-it, hon! LG customer service sucks! So does this overly touted baked foundation. Read my experiences above n below . Good luck! Many many other product out there. Also only listen to reviews that aren’t getting product free!

I LOVE the Laura Geller Baked Balance-N-Brighten Color Correcting Foundation! The very best ever for me.
It is also sold on QVC. Very often they are larger sizes at a great price.

Have You Tried Buffing It Into The Skin? I Know It Sounds Trivial But Most People Apply Too Much And They Don’t Even Buff In Into The Skin. Moisturizer Is Key… I Use The Spackle And Bobbi Brown Base. Spray Setting Spray Afterwards And That Should Help ❤

I ordered this and the best of palette. I’m excited to receive it and try it out. I like very light. Natural non matte makeup so I think this may work really well for me.

Can you speak to using this over sunscreen? I’m a FL gal and Sunscreen is a daily must to limit hyperpigmentation. I don’t use a primer (ever) but do use a setting spray (due to humidity) to help makeup last.
Or spackle primer is great as well

I seriously thought LG was incredibly scammy when I first saw it. I was introduced to it on Facebook, which is almost *never* a good thing! 😅 I kind of went down a rabbit hole on UA-cam, looking at reviews, because they made a point of stating in their facebook add that it was rosacea-friendly. I knew that it got great reviews on all but one of the dozens of vids I watched, but I really didn't expect my own reaction when I first put it on lol.
I Kind of wish I'd recorded it, because I ended up being one of those "Oh I can barely see it... oh wait... What... WHAT THE HELL!! Where's my redness gone?! Where did the scarring go?!" while squinting incredulously into the mirror. The imperfections start to show through a little by the end of the day, but they aren't *worse* and they aren't highlighted by the fading makeup.
I swear by it now, because with my primer and a little concealer it somehow actually calms down the horrible burning of the rosacea rather than exacerbating it, and doesn't end up all flakey and horrible as the rosacea changes throughout the day. I'm so incredibly happy with their products. I love the eyeshadow and blush too.

@@2AverageGals Great! I wish I could find it cheaper. I'm in the UK and it seems to be between £25-30 or more, and I can't justify that for makeup. I found a cheaper brand, but the reviews said don't bother.

The lip combo that has been my go-to, is pairing Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Lip Gloss in Pink Ginger with a lip liner such as e.l.f Love Triangle Lip Filler Liner in Light Brown or Italia Lip Liners in Hazelnut or Hot Cocoa. I line and fill in my lips with the liner and then use the gloss as a topper. I bought the Italian Deluxe Ultra Fine lip liners from Amazon. They came in a 12 pc set and have a really great shade range!

So one of you wore a separate concealer under your eyes. Did one of you use this under your eyes? I have the new elf primer but have not tried it. I’m also worried since I have cool/neutral undertones will this even work for me. I’m so interested in it now because you two are so excited about it

I’ve tried this foundation and wasn’t a big fan. By the afternoon it left my face pretty shiny and I don’t have that problem with most foundations.
@cindybrown9281 We honestly thought this wasn’t going to work for us, so we were really pleasantly surprised that it did, especially with it being a powder.
Have you tried priming before applying the foundation? I found it lasted longer doing this 🙂

I was just watching another UA-camr that said she could only get it to last about 4-5 hours. Do think the longevity for you ladies was due to using primer? How many hours before it fades?
@pnevlud We tested the product with and without a primer and we saw no change in longevity. We wore the product for around 8 to 9 hours and while it definitely faded by the end of the day, we still loved how our skin looked!

I’m 65 Y/O light skin….So I got light I thought this should be perfect, boy was I wrong 😑, the LG foundation looked horrible on me, I’m very disappointed ☹️..overall this makeup would have been good for me because of the wrinkles.

@judy - I became obsessed trying to find the “Porcelain” shade after so many said the fair/light shades made them look orange. Finally paid FULL price on QVC for the porcelain and brush set. 1) Takes sooo long to pack into and cover skin 2) Porcelain = GHOSTLY! 3)No good with my SPF & daily ‘Serums.’ It settled right into fine lines. 4) No one at LG ever truly helps when you contact. Love their baked blush; baked highlighters; bro zer and shadows - but now I feel u comfy with LG! These 2 beautiful ladies get LG free, so they remain neutral for. Their replies.

Ladies - I ask in and with - all due respect: Do u get LG products for free as testers, influencers etc? Reason I ask - as I said in my reply, above to another customer(s) is because LG ignores paying customers.. Some of us really want to continue using either loved “other” products of theirs or exchange a pricey shade of their baked foundation; but they leave u hangin’ ? I have not had a very good experience dealing with the company Laura Geller Beauty. It was my very first order with them too so it's be very disappointing. I had my order arrive damaged so I filled out all the forms and pics they needed and was told I would receive a refund without having to return the product - My thoughts were "That's great customer service and I was impressed". BUT that is not the case as that was back in Nov of last year and I have Not seen the refund yet!! And haven't had any luck trying to reach them- I've emailed them at least 5 times now But nobody is contacting me with an update. Every time I send them an email, I receive an email back from them saying they will contact me within 24 hours BUT no one ever does!!!! I have yet to hear back from them. Very disappointing. Definitely will Never order from them again!!!!
That sounds like a very disappointing experience.
I just placed my first order with them a few weeks ago for the foundation and brush, I ordered the Balance and Brighten and they sent me the Balance and Glow instead which I don't want. I went through their exchange portal and sent a picture and they were going to ship me another one, well I got another Balance and Glow. At least I got the blush and bronze I ordered, but I am doubtful that I will order from them in the future. I might try and order the foundation from a different source instead if I still want to try it. But yes, really disappointing. I was reading a lot of reviews and there are plenty of bad reviews mixed in with the good ones. I should have listened to my instincts and not ordered at all.
@graninab (too): My instinct tells me that these nice ladies are getting LG products for free. Must be influencers/Testers. One doesn’t have to work for company to receive free products. LG’s customer service SUCKS! Even though their BAKED foundations (bright or glow) didn’t work for me, as it doesn’t work for many (Takes too long to layer; can’t be used with other companies’ primers; can’t be used with ANY skin care serums underneath or SPFs b/c it flakes/settles into lines etc.). I adored their blush and highlighters! But I found better and cheaper similar foundations with the myriad of other companies that make them too. Look for endorsements that aren’t being touted by influencers who get them free.
Don’t sweat-it, hon! LG customer service sucks! So does this overly touted baked foundation. Read my experiences above n below . Good luck! Many many other product out there. Also only listen to reviews that aren’t getting product free!
