Sometimes it’s not about making money. As long as you’re having fun, Mike, that’s great!
Yup!
He's having fun and growing his channel
Thank goodness you did the sensible thing and scrapped that beauty- from the teaser thumbnail you had me scared to death that you were going to try to resuscitate it! And, yes, you did make that backhoe guy’s day!
Really sweet to have one of those rip and tear, we don’t care projects, then you start thinking about all the projects you can make with the pieces you strip off. Been there, much fun. Thanks for the tag along video sir.
It was a good time!
Capt took the the saying - the best days of a owning a boat ;the day you buy it and the day you sell it literally. watching Capt reverse launch that rotted out shell is the most Capt thing
🤣🤣
I used to sell Sea Ray boats down in FL long time ago and yes...that was *EXTREMELY* Satisfying watching that CATHOE have as much fun with that as my real cat does with it's catnip-infused mouse toy!!! Love your enthusiasm and of course, lookin' forward to Catchin' ya on the Next One!
I bet that was the highlight of their day
The unloading of the boat was epic and the backhoe guy and the reference of taking a chainsaw with you made me think I was watching an Andrew Camarata video. Lol. I loved it!
🤣🤣
Always options when scrapping and salvaging. I used to buy cars and do the same thing with them. We didn't have the world wide interweb in those days but adds were $5 in the local newspaper. Keep on keeping on. Great content and Iearn something from just about everyone of them.
Thanks for watching Jack
I tried to turn off the words several times.
Look at the backhoe starting in three turns!! Once you got them hydromenolics all sorted and the steering power pumped I'd say she's a keeper!!
Mike, that opening clip help a ton, changing my comment thoughts! Had an idea for the hydraulics. Use them in the Subaru project to building a dump bed on the back that can lift up and down. 👍👍👍👍 I'm also betting that she is going to still float after all of your repairs! 😂😂😂😂
That's familiar territory for me. BRAZIL INDIANA a cute little town. I remember when Captain would get 1000 views a day now he has over 1,000 views in 26 minutes. Says a lot for your attitude and your demeanor. Good dude
Appreciate the support!
Sometimes boat trailers have value as a boat trailer. Or possibly a double PWC trailer with a little work.
I once saw at a boatyard a little riding mower with a hitch ball on front. They had an outboard trim cylinder mounted to it complete with the electric pump and up/down switch mounted to the dash. The guy could move several trailers without getting off the mower. With your vision, you'll have a great idea and another fun video for us.
That's pretty cool!
Sunday Morning and a CK video. Life’s good.
💪
Your very energetic, looks like you have fun doing the trade up videos. Keep doing what your doing and enjoy life. 😁👍
You were having fun today - that makes it a very good day.
Definitely
Good video, I built 3 flat bed trailer’s out of boat trailers , the last one the tongue jack collapsed I lifted it ( very heavy ) felt and heard my back break twice be careful of your tongue weight make sure you move your Axel further up towards the tongue of trailer I never did my fault remember most of weight is in back of a boat hence Axel further back
Thank for the tip
I think that it's awesome that you are letting us follow on the journey with you 🎉
I think it's awesome you're watching
Mike, l started out the same way taking everything free and tearing it apart, save bolts and screws. Save it for later uses. About the only difference I see is you use impact tools, l had ratchets, big difference. Suggestion, build a very large building, l had 2. When I became disabled they were full, 40X60’ and 30X50’. It’s called hoarding, I had a great life enjoyed every minute and now I’m watching you do the same thing. The auctioneer said he had never seen this much stuff at one place. HaHa l had another building 25 miles away that l wasn’t selling yet. If you enjoy what you’re doing, you will never work a day.
🤣🤣 my goal is to make an auctioneer gasp
You have to much fun and entertain us to much to worry about nothing but money Capt. Love your channel. Thank you. 👍😁
I had fun watching this disassembly, I've got a boat with the mercruiser 3.0, basically same motor.
These captions are hilarious. My favorite so far “Smells like Gear oil” turning into “smells like your oil”
Think about using that hydraulic unit for steering the Subaru
I really enjoy watching and listening to your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Mike, you’re definitely having way too much fun. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
The tape deck brings back memories! 😀
Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching!
Thanks for watching Mike
It was a blast! Keep it up. I'm havin' a good 'ol time Cap'n!
Just passing on something my truck driver dad taught me- never check a wheel or bearing with the inside or palm of your hand- always touch surface with back of hand- reason being - if surface is super hot your hand will close as you pull away an really burn yourself- take care
Good tip!
Thumbs up 👍 good project material saved😅 you have a future ahead 😊
Appreciate ya watching
That was a fun and satisfying video. Looking forward to seeing the trailer conversion. Good job (as always) Capt.
Thanks mark
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. I used to like tearing old things apart just to see how they are made and work. Always enjoy a good tear down. Nice things about boats is lots of cool hardware. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos, wishing you and your family the best.
Thanks Tom!
I'll keep watching and supporting your channel. You keep putting out both entertaining and educational videos.
I hope others enjoy your humor and sarcasm as much as I do. The best!
Thank you!
Love your enthusiasm great video. 😊
That guy on the back-ho - stress relief at its best ! Great series of upgrades there Mike. I know a guy who started off with a cordless drill and ended up with a small plane !
I think he had a good time!
Sea Rays were TOP OF THE LINE boats and were a sign of wealth in our area.
Cool!
I believe that exhaust manifold would have brought a nice $. Anywhere boats are used in salt water, things like that corrode out. Same for the aluminum castings attaching the outdrive to the hull and engine. Enjoyed the video and look forward to your trailer conversion.
Appreciate ya watching
So love your enthusiasm and drive I wish mine was as good as yours ! Great to see the doing of the day ! You will get a nice trailer out of that ! :)
I like your flow. Stay positive and spread the love.
Thanks!
Well. The captions were annoying but mainly because I tried so many times to shut them off, unsuccessfully of course.
The funny part about the captions is seeing all the mistakes it posts. Probably since there isn’t a Southern Indiana to Google English translator available.
When I first saw the boat on Instagram and asked if it was getting a concrete foundation I truly though it was going to be a fix-er-upper for some family summer fun.
Clearly that boats beauty is only skin deep.
Lol, sorry about that, just trying new things. Have to keep the channel fresh.
That dismount was a thing of beauty!! I was jealous of them getting to smash the boat!
They had a good time for sure
That's awesome your having fun while trading up. Makes for real good content, love it!
Thanks
Make sure you move the axle forward before you make any other changes to the trailer. I like that trailer. I wish I was younger, I'd buy it and make it into a utility trailer myself. Keep it up Mike! It's all in having fun and building stuff you can use.
Another great video! Love the enthusiastic approach to everything!
Thanks mark
You have to count the fun you have building these neat projects. thats priceless.
Definitely
Been watching your videos and finding never a dull moment.
Thanks Steve
Hey Mike. I've been looking for the hydraulic trim setup from an I/O to build a cat 0 3point on a garden tractor. Problem here in Michigan is that everyone has a boat and parts are pricey. A boat to utility trailer build is also on my to-do list. Thanks for posting
Would make a cool project.
I have several boat to utility trailers. They have worked great. Unfortunately one came unhooked from my Honda rancher on the highway. Did not have safety chain on.
Just a few weeks in the hospital vacation I call it. I’m living miracle It has been said
I used the trim pump and cylinders on my dads tilt trailer he hauls his lawn mower on, it was an old tilt boat trailer that i flipped the axle on top of the spring to get it lower for easy to get on/off of for him. Those vents on the side that should have been hooked to a purge fan are nice for tight fit fan places that need fresh air. That front engine mount came in handy for a few things ive built around here too, oh yea move that axle forward about a foot too ours has dual axles and still moved it 6-8” forward
💪
Analytics beware! Always interesting watching your adventure. Twenty years back I had your energy level, but alas the hourglass is constantly working. I think those roller crossmembers are supposed to toot to conform to the hull. They are going to be handy at some time! Waiting on parts for the 555?
Good to see you Captain
See ma, I told you that by me watching these videos it helps people captain Kleeman even says so himself. great job sir, looking forward for the next one.
Exactly
👍 So I'm seeing subtitles, and they are hilarious, glad to read your pants are tied.
🤣
I have you a thumbs up just because! Your trying when others don't.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Exciting once again thanks for sharing see you next time
Thank for watching Kyle
That's a really nice boat trailer with the leveling rollers.
Captain you’re amazing! You can get a piece junk and make the best of it! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
!
Thanks kevin
Totally thought you were going to restore that boat. I think you made the better decision!
Definitely a good find overall Capt. And yes, without a doubt you made their day. You could tell by the way he got a running start with that backhoe. 🤣 Look forward to seeing what you come up with for the trailer build as you always put your own twist on everything. Keep up the great work my man 😁👍
Hahaha, he was definitely excited
great Captain Kleeman. I love your videos, and your Enthusiasm with which you do everything.
If I were you I'd keep all the hydraulics for myself. those are often the most expensive parts if you want to build something nice / beautiful yourself.
greetings from the Netherlands.
They could definitely come in handy
Aww I was prepared to go boat'n!
Nice ending comment about your channel and how the subscribers help you put out new content and projects. Carry on Captain
Appreciate all the support!
This is the FIRST video I had a problem with, and in agreement with the others in that the captions can go.
Sorry bud!
Nah
@@CaptainKleeman The only problem was that it was distracting from my trying to watch you and found myself looking at the captions! lol
Loved the video!
When I saw you dumping the boat in the shed on FB I didn’t realize you were at a transfer yard, and I didn’t know the boat’s hull was in such BAD shape!!!
I love the fact that you will jump into anything!
Take care.
Load the boat parts up and take them to a boat dealer. The alternator is marine grade, more expensive than automotive. The exhaust manifold is worth some money.
Nothing starts your week off quite as good as seeing a backhoe smash a boat!
Seems like you got some nice stuff for eBay and some fun stuff to build something out of.
Stay safe and God Bless.
Have a great week.
Thank tim
Awesome video Mike! You may want to sell the boat trailer as is because you can get a lot of money for it without putting any conversion work into it! Can't hurt to throw it on the interweb and see what kind of offers you get. As always, thank you for bringing us along on your adventure captain!!!
Thanks for watching Jeff
the guy in the backhoe sure loves his job 🤣
The 555 backhoe joke at the end was hilarious lol
🤣
Love it! Recycle reuse.
💪
I have this exact boat with 69 hours on it, runs and looks brand new. My father in law bought it new, I still have the original receipt, he used it 2 years and winterized it and parked it in a climate controlled garage. I bought it 3 years ago from him put fuel in it and it fired in 30 seconds.
That's awesome!
well the tear down was great but the boat tear up was real fun. thanks captain. cheers.
Appreciate ya watching!
That boat disposal charge was so low. This salvage project may turn out to generate a nice return. The dash panel, steering wheel and handles will be nice decorations for the YT Yacht. The trailer will definitely make for a nice utility trailer, but you might want to see what it will bring as is. With the cost of materials today, you may be money ahead. Thanks for sharing.
I have it listed now, I'll leave it up as is until I start the build. If I sell it, great, if not, no worries
Turn on the ''Subtitles/Closed captions'' in the video settings and watch them and the on screen auto captions battle it out. They both have their moments!
🤣🤣
Many people bury the old boat hulls due to the costs to haul them to the dump. Glad you choose the proper. Way.
I mean they are gonna bury it too
His time is an issue ….he happily exchanges it for the fun, some parts to play with, and the experience you get when you disassemble something (it’s an amazing teacher of how things can work). How better to equip yourself with ideas when creating a Franken-project. Boom baby.
💪
Mike, whoever you got for the captions, was either missing their coffee or was having to much fun watching your content. I had several times where i had to go back and watch as the first time i was to bay reading the words. Thanks fir making the morning that much better.
🤣🤣 appreciate ya watching
Always love the videos! Thank you!
Also, just a unsolicited notion, might need to move the boat trailer axle forward since they are positioned for the center of gravity for a boat with an engine and prop drive hanging off the back?
Anyway, I look forward to the adventures you bring! Thank you again!
Appreciate ya watching
Interesting. Really enjoy your inthusiasm.
Thanks Dean
I've always described the "time working" in a slightly odd way; if you're turning down paid work to do these things then you're losing money, but if you're working part-time to "keep the lights on" and you're otherwise doing work that - you're maybe saving money on doing it yourself ~ working 8 hours to earn the money to pay a guy that does the job in two, when you could do it yourself in 4 seems like a no brainer to me; you do it yourself and spend the other 4 hours salvaging a submarine and break even before you've sold whatever you can salvage.
Best thing to ever happen to a boat.
Fuel tanks are always needed!
So curious to what you're gonna really do with that trailer. Hope you make money on the parts that you wantna sell. Thank you for putting a smile on my face this morning! I hope you and your family have a great week! 😊
Appreciate ya watching
Safety toe"crocks" you and DP.😁
It's a good thing those screws were holding the tank in securely. Looks like fun.
Very secure lol
I'm strict here for your commentary/play by play. I do want you to succeed. Cause were friends and all. By the way, the answer to the question. If its free, you can make or save money!
that boat was just another case of a boat not being winterized so im sure it did run when they parked it burt it froze and locked up which is why the starter was out and why it didnt look that bad inside when you pulled it apart my folks have this exact same boat and engine its in better shape and runs though have a good week mike
thank you for your innertube Mr Kleeman.
Appreciate ya watching
Great video Captain Kleeman
Thanks!
I really enjoy the projects you get into, really interesting and some great watching. Keep them coming and Thank you !
Thanks Andy
Fun watching
Thank you!
Dang! I just found another cool channel!
I was in the neighborhood and thought I heard you bought a boat. I stopped by to look at it. Sweet.
Appreciate ya stopping by
Thank you 👍👍👍👍
Appreciate ya watching
👍👍👍💙💛❤Absolut foarte distractiv. Esti nemaipomenit CAPTAIN KLEEMAN.💙💛❤👍
That was a fun video! I think you have more fun tearing stuff apart than putting it back together, I know I always did LOL
Appreciate ya watching
thankx for the video
Appreciate ya watching
I watch all your videos on double speed ( I watch all videos on double speed). It makes you look in a real big hurry all the time. 😂😂
🤣🤣
Great video! That boat reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil cartoon, where he puts on all the lipstick and makeup, trying to catch Bugs Bunny! It sure looked good on the outside! But, WOW - that's where it all ended. Thanks, Mike! Lee
Thanks for watching
Cool man! Been camping many many times at Raccoon state park...nice big lake too. Covered bridge fest in October 🦝🏕🛳⚓️
Is it good camping?
Yeh it's a nice state park. Modern and some primitive sites as well.
You can carry logs on your trailer as well 👍👍👍
👍
Great show
Thanks
Everyone needs to turn on the close captions and count all the differences.
🤣🤣 that sounds like a good time
worked one summer at sea ray plant in oxford mi. might be one of the boats i worked on
Oh that's cool
I remember that plant had a friend who worked there way back in the day .Is it still running ? Ain't been out that way in a long long time.
