Since I discovered Lovebites and other Japanese bands a few years ago, I am reminded of the time when, as a teenager, I discovered the old rock and hard rock bands of the sixties and seventies and at the same time the then current eighties HM bands. It's a musical blessing to be able to experience something like this twice...🤘🤘
best metal band out there today. midori & miyako are the best guitar duo ive heard in 50 yrs of listening to metal. Throw in an elite drummer with a 21 yr old prodigy bassist & a dymamic frontwoman & greatness follows. still more to see, they never disappoint.
It simply does not get any better than this. Since 1971 when I first heard Led Zeppelin, I became a metalhead. Lovebites is my favorite band ever, and this song is my favorite ever. I never expected at 63 years old I would have found a metal band that for me personally beats all the legends I have heard...but they do.

Practice.,,.these women either inspire you or completely intimidate you. Midori (blonde)started the guitar at a prestigious music academy at 20!! Miyako picked up the guitar and self-taught at 18!! They are polar opposites in personalities but together blend together perfectly, especially LIVE when they harmonize. Every one of these musicians is dedicated and driven to perfection while playing. There are other great bands such as Asterism, Nemophila, Band Maid, Galynerus, etc, that are exceptional. Japan is where music, especially Metal and Rock, has gone to flourish. It is an endless rabbit hole to enjoy.
Whenever I watch this performance, I am amazed with the complexity, particularly of Midori's part, and I'm not just talking solo! It wasn't as obvious to me in the official music video. Add in her attitude and stances, and you have a spectacular individual performance among an amazing group effort!

You guys got the full shock of the Covid-19 crisis and Miho's departure! When I found LOVEBITES in mid June of this year (2023), all these shock waves were gone, and there was a new bassist, a new album, new OMVs, and the Resurrection tour which is now known as "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate I & II", with the prospect of a Japan tour, and now whatever we can expect for 2024. I should feel glad!

You aren't going to run in to anything bad, or even mediocre. Lovebites doesn't do average. They are at the top in their genre of powerthrashspeed. I would match them up against any band that ever existed.
The red flying V you admired is Miyako's signature Dean. Shortly after they shipped it to her, they were sued by Gibson and eventually blocked from making certain models including that one. So it's truly a unique guitar. As for M&M, your admiration for them is shared by a growing international fanbase who appreciate greatness. Same for the whole band.
In 2016 I heard the following comments from reactors (regarding Band Maid): "C'mon, those women aren't really playing their own instruments?!", and "They can't keep doing this -- women have no stamina!". Regarding ALL of the current well-known Japanese all-female hard rock and metal bands out there: the women all came to play; they have marked compositional skills; their "lives" will impress you as much as -- or more than -- their studio recordings; and...they have no stamina issues. I've seen the following all-female Japanese hard rock and metal bands live in concert: Band Maid (shows from all four of their U.S. tours); Nemophila (shows from their U.S. tour and mini-tour); Hanabie (a show from their one U.S. tour); Passcode (a show from their U.S. mini-tour); all were more than the price of admission and the hassle of getting to their shows, and I plan to see each of them on their next American tour (and, hopefully, several other very good Japanese acts). If Lovebites finally does a legitimate U.S. tour (their current schedules festival appearance is not a "tour"), my "Magical experience" will be complete. [I'm old enough to remember when Elvis was a reasonably young recording artist; I won't get off of the couch to see most current American and European bands, but I will for the Japanese groups].
I haven't seen any negative comments yet, but I can imagine trolls will find anything to bring someone else down. I love music and positive vibes and these ladies bring both of those things as well as much more.
