I have MS. I just lost my job in February and am currently in relapse. I cannot afford to even get an MRI to see how bad the lesions are in this relapse. It'll never end until we have univeral Healthcare

I am very sorry for you, but try to get rid of toxic therapeutic drugs and follow a natural system. Try to drink 3 cups of any soothing herb daily, take apricot seeds and drink them as a therapeutic pill 3 times, and you will notice the change. My heart goes out to you. My mother has MS as well and it is only due to the free health care in Belgium that we can get her the proper treatment. If we had to pay for her medicine, which she must take every month, we would be paying thousands each month, and this doesn't include the MRI scans. I am really speechless as I never thought it possible to see an artist of your level (the highest) treating these topics accurately and neatly. You're so right! That's the consequence of turning fundamental human rights into business! Here, in Colombia, we're dealing with something similar: money is collected from taxes and that juicy budget is expected to be used by the state itself to provide a free health system. Instead, rich people use politicians of different ideologies to get those budgets, and place themselves as intermediates between the state and the true health professional servers. As a result, kind of chimerical companies offer a poor quality service that is only meant for caring for the finances of these exclusive social circles. And guess what, we have to pay them for it, so we pay twice (taxes, and that fee).
Let's face it, Sia will definitely get some backlash for (1) being a celebrity who dares to speak on a political issue and (2) possibly for her non-American accent. But just because she is a celebrity doesn't exclude her from her right to protest or her right to have a political opinion. And just because she was born overseas it doesn't stop her from caring about American societal/political issues. Thank you for caring Sia.

Many of our systems are broken, corrupted and stuck in a feedback cycle that only results in further capture of our government by corporations and further commodification of necessities to levels far unaffordable.

Yea I got a hospital bill for 4k bill before insurance and after it was 190 bucks (after my insurance got angry) and they covered that price... Broke my foot and really didn't need anything and was in and out in 2 hours and most the time was spent waiting cause COVID just started

Interresting. You're the first celebrity I've heard talking about this problem. As a French, whenever Americans make fun of us, the first thing we always say is "yeah but your healthcare sucks". Ofc it's a great argument but I rather prefer if your healthcare didn't suck.
My grandfather lived on dialysis for 10 years and had dozens of other previous problems. If we had been americans, I don't think I would've been able to know him at all and I find it super sad that you guys have to say goodbye to your family members sooner, not because the illness is incurable, but just cause the medecine/hospital is too expensive. Every country has it flaws but a developped country full of millionnaires like the USA shouldn't have this one. Anyway I'll be watching with interrest

Man we're living an amazing time. For the context, I'm French, and I'm thriving because I was talking about those subjects for YEARS like 10 years ago in high school I was constantly trying to open people eyes about corruption and all the joyful things that come with it, and that it was worldwide ; but I was constantly called a conspiracy theorist. Now finally people are aware in my country, and it seems like more and more people in more and more countries also get it. About time people understand politicians don't want our good and that money should be used way hecking differently. But it feels so good to see people open their damn eyes finally 😂

This is so true and so sad there isn't more views or people who care. I've lost many friends and family members to big pharma illness, addiction mental illness poor treatment no treatment suicide overdose. And then they make it SO HARD to sign up for any kind of free health care that most people give up. Most of America has given up already and it's apparent so they already won the government was designed to keep us poor and sick unless you grow up in a wealthy family. Even if you do most family members give up on their own too, end rant.
✌️Same here in Australia. Sad when people can not afford a Dr, hospital, food, home. Amazing when you see how much of Australia goes to USA, other countries via mines, resources, retail.....and the Boomerang (IP owned by USA circa 1990's) is significantly connected to First Nation's Australia..

I'm not from USA or live there but it's well known around the world how bad the health system is beginning with the paying for everything instead of having universal health system!
Tysm for speaking out on the truth of what's going on here in America. Mom died from COVID, was forced to move, and had to change jobs..... And the jobs I qualify for either don't offer any health care or health care that has a high ass deductible and "they" consider 31 hours is full-time. My own country killed my mother and is slowly killing me! Other human beings intentionally kill and rob other human beings.

I firmly believe that we need to implement a sick leave as well as maternity & paternity leave programs for all workers in this country. I personally feel that every time worker in this country regardless of their job should be guaranteed at least 2 weeks of sick leave & 2 weeks vacation per year. In addition to guaranteed sick leave, we also need to allow both mothers & fathers who just had a baby to be guaranteed time off with pay as well, so that way businesses can ensure that their employees at all levels can come into work feeling their best & contributing their best physically and mentally everyday.
Finally, I firmly believe that "Working Poor" should not be a thing! If you work full time every week of the year, you shouldn't be living at or below the poverty line in this country! Hence why I feel there should be a Universal Basic Income for every American citizen above the age of 16 based on what the poverty level is so that way no one who works full time should have to financially struggle to get by.

She’s like me, I have EDS and I can only get my Naproxen a little at a time, I just got it refilled and on the bottle it says no refills doctors approval needed. A NSAID, it’s not a Opioid or anything, it’s hurting those who NEED pain meds just to function properly Or like “ Normal “ people do.

in case you wonder why nobody does anything. The system will auto level out to a place where people are pushed just enough to break but not enough to revolt (through slow government degradation because of no policies to address seeping corruption over a long time), and that place is the line that most wealth /value can be extracted from the public.
If you are well fed then a revolt is unlikely to occur; the french revolution happened mainly because people began to starve. when you are seriously hungry you will happily lop a guilty head from its shoulders, because otherwise you risk death anyway.
