#1 Learn Surat Al-Fatiha with Correct Tajweed

- In this series of videos Sheikh Ra'ed teaches everyone (children or adults) how to recite and memorize the Qur'an with the correct Tajweed. These videos are also an excellent tool for beginners and advanced individuals who need practice with Tajweed.
In this 1st video from the series, Sheikh Ra'ed teaches us how to correctly recite Surat Al-Fatiha. He will break down the words and sounds in order to make it easy for us all to pronounce the verses.

Thank you for this! I am a college student (History Major and Religion Minor) and I'm currently taking my second class about Islam/ Islamic Civilization. I need to memorize Sura One Al-Fatiha for this class. It has been difficult finding something to help me with sounds and pronunciation. I've enjoyed listening to recitations of these verses. I think i finished reading the Holy Quraan at age 12. My pronunciation and speed of reading was better back then than now. As i got older i neglected as i was persuing career. But i never forget my Creator.

What kind of phone/tablet do you have i can help you with a great app that will help you start to learn the Quran in slow pace to help you with your arabic skills as well as memorizing the Quran.
The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur'an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur'an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward"

If you search 'The Prophet's Prayer' on youtube you will find an excellent series by Sh. Muhammad Salah. I recommend that you watch it, it is very detailed and based on the authentic Sunnah. JAK for commenting.

I've been trying to memorize and recite Al Fatihah. I don't speak Arabic and this video really helps me to hear the exact pronunciations. But I find sometimes I can't repeat the words exactly. I don't know if I'm saying the words correctly.

Yes you should read Albasmalah before Alfatiha becouse it's an Ayah from it.

thanks a lot for this video, I find it very useful they way you explain things. One thing I'd like to mention though, perhaps you can put arabic texts of surat, appearing somewhere on the video, so we can also visualise the letters which are to be pronounced

My question is regarding how to recite Surah Fatiha because in some Mushafs I find Bismillah as an Ayat and in another Mushaf I see its not an Ayat.Is there any other Surahs likewise in the Holy Quran? What is the correct opinion and how should one keep in mind when reciting the Surah.
