    Extremely talented artist right there. That particular figure is a kids toy to be played with which is what Hasbro are all about but it's now a statue that would rival any Sideshow polystone version that would cost shitloads.

      Well, sure they could make their toys with this level of detail, but then again the price would not stay the same... (There are actually toy companies that specialize in high detail - and high cost - models that are incredibly detailed). For the price they're charging I think Hasbro can be cut some slack, to be honest.

      Hi,
      This was my first video on UA-cam and I hadn't made a video, so off course I used the pictures as slides. Never the less it give people an idea on how I did this Hulkbuster, what the goal is here.

    • @PropsN3D
      @PropsN3D  7 років тому +7

      Hi Nate ... Thnx man ... support is always welcome :-)
      Yes I'm using Enamel Candy Red (kinda transparent) over the silver, which I've used for the pre-shading.
      It was a long road of testing and finding the right colour, but this one nailed it ... to my opinion :-)
      Cheers and check out my channel soon

      Diorama Builders thanks. I'm hoping to get one of these soon and want to do this.
      how many bottles of each color did you have to use?

    • @PropsN3D
      @PropsN3D  7 років тому +6

      not a problem man ... (call me Kurt :-))
      I think I've used 2 bottles of the Alclad 2 black primer (bigger bottles) (but you can use any cheap black spray paint) ... 2 bottles of silver and 4 bottles of the red. The silver covers smoothly, but the red is transparent so several coats are necessary according to what you like.
      I must be honest: I've tested a lot so many bottles were needed. But the silver and red are small bottles.
      Happy to give some hints in exchange for some sharing of my channel ;-p
      Good luck my man and keep me up te date on the work

    • @PropsN3D
      @PropsN3D  6 років тому

      Hi Minutes Now
      Well the front opens by design so you can put a figure in it... But I didn't liked the seems and I wanted to be as real - non plastic looking - as possible. For me those are the details that could ruin the end result.
      After glued on the leds I didn't need to open it :-)

    THE ONLY PART I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOM IS THAT YOUVE TAKEN TOO MUCH TIME IN DETAILING BUT YOU DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO COVER THE SCREW HOLES AT THE BACK.. ITS SO DISTRACTING TO WATCH... IM SORRY FOR THE NEGATIVE COMMENT, BUT IM ALSO A CUSTOM TOY MAKER IN MY OWN FREE TIME, BUT I REALLY LOVE TO COVER ALL THOSE HOLES TO MAKE THE CUSTOM TOY LOOK MORE REALISTIC.... .. I HOPE YOU GET MY POINT... AND ALSO, I LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR LIQUID MASKING, WHICH I MADE MY OWN LIQUID SO THAT I WONT BUY THE LIQUID YOU USE...

    • @PropsN3D
      @PropsN3D  6 років тому +8

      Hi Jun,
      Thnx for the feedback. I know about the screw holes. It was a challenge to get everything sanded, painted and install the leds, so this was the way to work. But if I had to redo it, I would have a different approach because I would have the knowledge and experience about this Hulkbuster and how it is build. First time is sometimes trail and error, but overal happy with the result, colors, leds, etc ...
      Well about the liquid mask: not 100% my thing, but a whole lat better the taping of an area ... my thoughts off course.
      But again: I learned a lot during this project and more to come and hope that others can learn from my mistakes :-) :-) :-)
      Cheers
