Every speaker is different, but I find generally speaking having the speakers pulled out 3-4 feet from the front wall and 7-8 feet apart gives best results.
not all speakers need to be pulled off the wall by that much clearance and the Sourcepoint 8 is one of those placement from frontwall agnostic speakers
I ordered a pair on release day, when I heard them at Axpona, 2023. When I finally got mine, I was undewhelmed, because when I heard them at Axpona, they presented with palpable bass, and filled the room with glorious sound. The difference was that Andrew was demoing them with a Hifi Rose amp, which had an extremely high damping factor. My search began for an amp that would pair better. I ended up buying a Rogue Audio Sphinx V3, and that woke them right up with their damping factor of >1000. I'm now hearing what I did in the room with Jones, and couldn't be happier!
You're lucky to have an actual stereo store near by. I miss the days when they used to be everywhere. Also, how are you doing? I was getting worried about you.
I have a pair of Dali Oberon 5s powered by an Audiolab 9000A with a 9000CDT. Maybe there's better.... but for me, right now, it is sonic perfection. For sure sonically they are frikkin awesome...... but the soundstage and transparency are truly next level!!
Yes these are the best standmounts in terms of overall jack of all trades factor. Also the Sourcepooint 8 is not source picky. they're amp agnostic. So unless you have a shitbox amp/DAC/streamer or an intentionally non linear amp (there are less and less of these nowadays), no device gives a new sound to the speakers. they provide their sound alone with the room being the biggest contributor to change

Nice! I’m glad it worked out in the end.
Welcome back 🎉
Great review. Silverton CO is my favorite place on earth. Nice shirt!
I love that part of Colorado!

Enjoying SP8s with a Nait 50 & Emerson Analog DAC/Streamer. Great Speakers.
Nice video! Is 2 feet from the back of the speakers and the wall enough to avoid boomy bass? I wouldn’t have the room the pull them further.

By the way... Cassandra Wilson's 'Blue Light 'Til Dawn' is an absolute MUST listen!!
I love those Dali’s!
Unbelievable at about $1000
It's good to see you back!
It’s good to be back!
Very cool. Thank you!
My preferred ingredients are: power conditioner/grounding - Puritan, CD transport/dac - Teac, pre/power amplification - Rotel, speaker/subwoofer - Dynaudio.
That’s a very nice recipe. I’m sure it sounds fantastic!
I am so sold. These looks awesome.!!!
They are amazing!

2:03 the room and placement are critical…and not to be taken lightly.😮
How do they compare with the Lintons? Curious. 🎶👍🏼😎
They sound much nicer than the Lintons.
@@audioarkitekts Thanks. 👍🏼🎶
