Enjoying your channel. Glad you're taking time to go fishing and other things besides just working. I've been a workaholic most of my life and have to remind myself to do other things and rest up & relax, especially on the Sabbath.
Just a little advice on the tent. You might want to get a tarp and put it on top so when leaves come down this fall. It won't stain the top. It doesn't hurt it, but it keeps the tent looking good.
Cory, I am sitting at home enjoying one of my favorite parts of your videos ..... the sounds.....water, wind & the BIRDS ! I am usually getting ready to go to my cabin in Ontario at this time but I am taking care of my health. Third time treating & BEATING cancer. I will be going to Ontario in August instead of July and then I can listen to all those beautiful sounds in person. Thank you for your beautiful videos & thank you for sharing them & Gracie & yourself. You have done & continue to do an amazing job there in Maine. Stay safe & well & avoid the black flies & "skeeters".
It's a good set up Cory. The permission for the v=cabin will set you on a major development so take it easy - pace yourself - and build up reserves if you can for the work ahead. Nice maple slabs. Keep well and keep healthy in body, mind and spirit. Love to see the videos and appreciate that things may be slower at present - but that's a good thing! Blessings brother.
The birds sounds awesome.your property is really marvelous.work hard, play hard.dont overdo it.take time and relax and enjoy your beautiful property.love your channel, not forgetting graciela also.
Another wonderful video, Cory. We so enjoyed it and weren't ready for it to end. Lol Keep up the good work and remember to take the time to enjoy and relax. God bless you and Gracie.
Only advice I can maybe offer,, I was always told if saw is spitting powdery more than Big Chips, the chain might need sharpening a bit. It was taught to me by a Professional Logger while I worked for him when I was 14 - 17+ yrs old. I didn't learn everything but he definitely taught me quite a bit, saved my life twice when I was cutting from wrong side of tree , that ended up snapping/swinging out like a bullet when it was half on ground tangled up preventing it from falling all the way. Both were more than 60's.. Big ass trees. Stay Safe my friend.
You're doing great while you wait for this permitting process to get solved. Seems like organizing always helps your brain to feel like you're accomplishing something. I didn't realize how many bugs there were in Maine. Here in Oregon we don't seem to have that issue in the woods, other than mosquitos and ticks in the high grass of course. The two tents seem to be working out great and considering the time it will take to construct the new cabin, you'll be using them for quite awhile if you can keep the old one from leaking of course. Gracie seems very happy. Maybe the solar panel job is next to keep the power at peak for all the projects coming.
Such an idyllic setting. I'd have cut that log in half. Then, cut those shorter logs and concave them so the round side of slabs would nestle in there nicely. Great video as usual.
Just came across your video and watched. Doing a great job place looks so peaceful. Gracie is so attached to you follows you everywhere. Great video and 🐕. Continued success with the cabin.
It’s Always a pleasure to see another video up from you and Gracie. That breakfast looked so good. I was looking in the store and would love to bye a hoodie but out of stock. Please don’t over do yourself my friend. Thanks for sharing and God Bless❤
Hi its been awhile well since i last was here u were dismantling the cabin.. i love your camp.. hope u get whatever your waiting on done permits etc.. work and play 😊
Sometime last year, my husband caught an old video of yours when you were repairing that log camping cabin, I came around after the second video, it was pretty fun to watch and since I’ve wondered what happened to you, looking thru a list of vlogs that popped up on UA-cam and saw that old video, which led me to this. Subscribed and looking forward to following this new adventure of yours. Best of luck, be safe and Blessings.
Wood stickers will give you nasty sticker stain on the white maple. If you have some carpenter friends who use PVC “boards” for facia, corner boards, and etc. ask them to save any rippers they might throw away for maple stickers. I really enjoy your channel. Cheers!
Thank you Cory for showing us around your camp site looks great. Sure wish the authorities would come through for your new cabin I don’t understand why such a long delay. Continue prayers and good luck!!!
Hello Cory, it is so good to see you and Gracie! It looks like you were having fun fly fishing and getting some nice trout. Everything is looking good! thank you for updating us. Cory I just love Philippians 4:11-13 what a comfort to my heart. I hope all is well and was wondering how your back is doing? take care and God bless you, and may you draw closer every day to the Lord Jesus Christ.
To bad about that spike, man oh man! If you had a metal detector it could save you some future headaches? And in your free time you could use it to try and find cool things from long ago.😊
thank you for a wonderful video..❤..Such a beautiful place you have....now I don't know if I would dare to be there alone at night....😁😳. Glad you dare 👍. It takes a lot of patience to focus on that approval...You have to spend the time fixing firewood...cleaning up etc...and try to enjoy the time....👍. p.s. what happened to your finger ? Take care 😘
Love your last two videos! Great tent, picnic table, fly fishing & cooking! Great job on everything. Make sure you catch your breath every now & then! Ready for your next update on things!! Always best of luck!!
Hey Corey finally caught up to your last few episodes. Been down with a virus, but I’m well now. In these episodes, I noticed you are so hard on yourself. You got this you are so wise and knowledgeable for your age so just do day by day don’t let your mind rule ahead you have got this. You would have to be an inspiration to all who know you and us who have come across your channel. Xx Julie 🇦🇺
Great video! Apologies if you have answered this previously, but what type of bug repellant do you use? I see you wearing mesh to keep the bugs away -- but wondering if you have a repellant that you prefer? I used to vacation in central Maine in the 60s and 70s as a kid-- and we would always ask the locals what was the best repellant -- in addition we would try to arrive (from Boston) in mid August so that we could escape the worst of the bugs. Thanks!
I worked for a tree trimming business I always had a sharp saw one the guys their took my saw one day he got mad at me and started it up and stuck it in the asphalt handed it back to me and told me now your saw as dull as mine now,10 minutes later it cut like a new chain out of the box that's what I call skill so don't throw the chain away
The camp is looking great! Looks like a great spot just to hang out with Gracie. I was wondering if you had any issues with food storage in relation to black bears up there? Do you have to use a bear box or canister or hang your food or anything? Just curious. Enjoy!!
What is your fly rod/reel setup please ? 3wt ? Rod type model length and reel setup please. Im not sure whats right for little streams like yours..TY. God Bless, Stay Safe my friend. Big Jim New Hampshire USA aka Boston Strong
Are you using a ripping chain while milling? A standard chain is miserable to try and mill with. Years ago I did a lot of chainsaw milling with a Husqvarna 394xp. Even with a 94cc saw, and a sharp ripping chain, it was still a lot of work milling hardwood logs over 20 inches in diameter. Chainsaw mills work best in softwoods.
I enjoy your videos so much. The next time you fish, catch one for Gracy. Fish and fish oil is very good for Dogs joints just as it is for us. With all your building skill and a camp right there, you could replace that crappy building one wall at a time and not waste your time with the bureaucrats who don't care one way or the other. This is just my humble opinion friend, it is your life, your dog and your time :) Thanks for sharing, Jesus is King.
I would like to donate a metal detector if you’re interested, you can quickly scan your lumber for nails bullets or anything else. I’m in Massachusetts and I got nothing better to do.

The tarps are not good in the sun,in fact they become impossible for me pick up all the pieces ❤
Leafs stain is the best color money 💴 can’t buy ❤
❤it’s made to be seen but not any wiring ❤until you open the lid to the box 🗃️ 😊

Great way to start my Saturday! Coffee, Gracie, Cory and The Maine Woods !

Brookies caught with a fly rod , ya can’t get much better than that. Excellent fishing video. Thanks for sharing.

Its easy to see why you are working so hard out there! You have a little piece of heaven 😊
😊 thank you
Another wonderful video, Cory. We so enjoyed it and weren't ready for it to end. Lol
Keep up the good work and remember to take the time to enjoy and relax. God bless you and Gracie.
Wow, fishing there is awesome!
The Maine Woods fishing show!!
Some fishing products should be sponsoring you.
lol
Recommend trying a ripping chain from Oregon. Makes a bit of a difference in surface finish and speed.
Looks great! Maybe you should try a nail finder for your logs? That was a big spike!
Maybe!
87 degrees here in NC. Love your new tent. Hope you get to build a cabin soon!
I hope so too!
Big 👍🏻Watching from Arkansas 👍🏻💛🙏🏻

Love those fishing trips .Remindes me of trips I had in North Georgia and western North Carolina in 70 and 80's. good vedioes.

That little fish
It don't even stain gracy's teeth lol 😂😂😅
Thats a nice place you have. I love your big black lab! They are wonderful dogs. Beautiful looking stream!
sawing thru metal will get expensive....quick!! good call to parse into firewood. My son has a metal detector, so I should use it.
I just love your spot! Glorious!
thank you
What a beautiful place with great fishing. Perfect 👍🏻💛🙏🏻 Watching from Arkansas 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
@@TheMaineWoodsI dont know how I got two of the same comments here😂😂

Beautiful place. 👍. A bandsaw works well. Buy a Sawmill and after you build what you want, sell it.

I really enjoy your channel brother, glad I found it and I would love to live that kind of life but I will just have to settle for camping
Go for it!
six quarter boards? Nice work. Hi Gracie.

I like the new grill. I bought one recently for a hundred dollars brand new from a friend who had won it but didn’t want it
that was a good buy

Great to see you again. Really love the videos!
In the woods with a good dog….bliss ❤❤
Totally
Waiting eagerly for your videos.
as fast as we can
35:44 huge sigh of relief!!!
That was a really nice trout
Traps on the tents leaves and extra heat in also mostly in winter months
crazy you found that metal in there !
I should've known, won't make that mistake again on that first section of a tree like that
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You can also use the bark for your building material ❤❤
Awesome love that property bro
Also man I would move out there to live
Nice fishing trip.
thanks
Cut two 4" stumps & put under the seat log on each end as legs to get the height up to 18"
Screw or bolt the legs on while the main log is upside down, then flip it over into place.
I like it the way it is
Glad you can enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Sharpin the chain it's a good skill to have.
did you watch the video?
nice fishing spot
I always enjoy your videos. This one is great. Who makes those solar lights?
amzn.to/3XB7g9X
How do you like the Kodiak canvas wall tent?
Nice relaxing video. Would be interested in buying one of those moose sheds from you.
Back in the 60’s, they called that wood, “hard rock maple” for a reason. It’s excellent wood for furniture and cabinets because it’s hard as a rock.
It sure is

I don’t use anything on my skin, I just keep a smoky fire going and wear a bug jacket when I have to
What is your plan for all the moose antlers?
Really nice set up you have there!
I’ve been meaning to create a website where they are available for sale
Dang! I had a dinner plan for tonight, but after this I want steak or trout. Perhaps I'll have both......
😂
Awesome
thanks
Curious what you were using to catch the trout/salmon with? Weighted streamer/nymph? Some beautiful fish you got!
Golden retriever
Watched a guy on UA-cam ,after making a pass spray on the chain saw blade with diesel fuel for sap.
Yes that is a way to clean a bar and chain
Great video I would be curious how many acers you have and why so may issues with the permit?
Lots done this trip in and hard work. Ya you need to relax more. What did you do to your finger ?
I did a stupid thing with an axe

Haven’t had any issues yet, I don’t leave any food when I’m not there
What will you do with all those antlers?Great video, cheers.
Going to sell them
For milling, use a Ripping Chain vs Cross chain… will be lot easier ;-)

only almost 12 years

Sadly that was not the case, they’ve created all kinds of regulations that prevent you from doing just that and force you into their process
@@TheMaineWoods Sorry to hear that. Like in Canada, the government has too many paper shufflers causing more problems than they solve.

cool
If that's a hummingbird feeder you need to not use red dye in it. Will kill the birds.
Red Dye has found to be bad for the hummers and it's not necessary at all. Sugar water is all it takes.
ok I will look into that, refined sugar can't be good for them either, they need nectar
