Stampin' Up! video tutorial by Patty Bennett.
#pattystamps #stampinup #cardmaking
Hello Patty, here is 'la douce France' en plein soleil!!! Je regarde le replay aujourd'hui!
It's very lovely with 'basic beige' as stamping the first time!
Thank you!!
Thanks so much for this "lesson" on use the use this beautiful masking set. You make it look sooo easy. Love these cards. Thanks again.
I wasnt going to order Basic Beige right away, but after watching your excellent video, this color is going to the top of my list. I always like your videos and your style!
Thank you Judy.. so glad you enjoyed it!!
Thank you Patty for showing the basic beige as an outline stamp, the cards are beautiful
thank you so very much!!
Thank you Patty, initially I had mixed feelings about the bundle because I did not like too much the outline of the roses stamp while I loved the layered stencils… you made me comfortable with getting the bundle. This makes the flowers look so more natural and real. 💙💙💙
so glad you enjoyed the ideas and tips!! Thanks for letting me know Nicole!
Hi Patty, I loved your tip for opening the ink pad part way so you can rest the blending brush in it. To add to that tip, after you load the brush with ink, instead f tapping it off on scrap paper, try tapping it off on the lid where the brush was resting. that way, you can still use the ink to reload the brush. Hope that makes sense. I loved how you showed how to use the masks. I just purchased this bundle and it’s definitely out of my comfort zone. your video gave me confidence to give it a try! Have a wonderful Mother’s day!!!
thanks! great tip!
Hi Patty, I love no line coloring! The new basic beige is perfect for this technique! Thank you for the inspiration and all your tips! The colors are stunning!
Thank you!! glad you enjoyed it!!
Especially love the yellow rose card!
The basic beige outline makes it look like embroidery. ❤ I love tue card
yes, it kind of does!
LOVE ALL THE CARDS!!!! Patty they are gorgeous, funny, beautiful 🥰❤👋
Thank you.. so glad you enjoyed it!
The Basic Beige ink 's effect is stunning! What a fabulous idea! Thanks for sharing this!

I had not seen any previous projects which made me want this bundle/suite. But now I do! You are very talented
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh my gosh. So beautiful. I always check in with your channel or blog if I’m struggling with Color choices. You are so talented.
So kind of you.. thank you!!
Wow! I love how different it looks with the basic beige, i wouldn’t have bought the beige had you not done this video but now I think I must have it. ❤
So Glad you enjoyed the idea!
Both pretty, but stamping with the Basic Beige has my vote. Beautiful!! Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed it!!
I love the depth you can achieve with the 3 colors. And using the beige. Thank you for sharing. They were beautiful.
So glad you enjoyed it!!
It‘s so much more elegant with the lighter outline. Great idea, I have to try it too… Greetings from Germany
Greetings from California to Germany!! Thanks for watching.. so glad you enjoyed it!!
I love the Basic Beige! Thank you for showing us how to do the no-line coloring with this new color!❤️
So glad you enjoyed it!! thanks so much for watching!
I am so excited with the new basic beige color!! Preordered everything available in the color!
Hope you are having fun working with it!
Watching the replay...I love the use of basic beige to outline a stenciled image. The color combo is so pretty ! I remember the river rock cardstock too. I still have a couple pieces left.
Glad you enjoyed it.. fun to hear you still have some River Rock!!
A great colour for no line colouring. I’ve always used Memento London Fog. But , the new ink is great. Lovely cards Patty. Thankyou.🥰🇬🇧
So glad you liked it!! I didn't know there were colors other than black for memento, so good to know!
This was my first thought on the Basic Beige, no line coloring. I just think your card is beautiful! Wow!
When Shelly sat with the team to design this set, the single rose isolation die was her idea which I thought was awesome. The saying God Bless was her homage to her late husband who signed everything with that phrase, she changed the you make my heart smile phrase (as a nod to her business name), originally it was you make my heart happy and she had SU add the small tag die. Of course her favorite flower is roses.
Thanks for letting me know those details! I didn't even realize it was a million achiever set! Thank you!
STUNNING! Thanks for showing the Basic Beige, LOVE it too!
So glad you enjoyed it!!
I have never liked the black outline for floral designs. Would prefer basic gray, but now my new love is this beige!!! Cudos to all who inspired you for these lovely color combos! About the color wheel, I read that SU plans to offer a version by the end of the year! 🤗
Yes, I need to remember to use gray more, as well!! Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely lovely card!!! Can’t wait to get to masking and blending❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Have fun!!
Grateful for your slip of the tongue...I still have my River Rock stamp pad and refill!
that was pretty funny.. then I couldn't get it out of my head!
I would not have thought to use the Basic Beige ribbon, either; but it really works. Beautiful cards. I love the "No Lines" technique. Since I already have the Enduring Beauty bundle, I didn't think I would get the Layers of Beauty one; but I think you have changed my mind. LOL
I actually like this new Layers of Beauty better than the Enduring Beauty... which I didn't think was even possible!! :)
Thank you so much for demonstrating these products! The images that you produced are stunning!
Thank you for watching!!
😂I know this isn't the focus of this video, but I just want to thank you for the clever way you use a clip to keep the end of a ribbon on the spool. Thanks, Patti!
Oops! Should say, Thanks, Patty!
Glad you liked that tip.. I think someone comments on that with every video.. it works great for me! :)
Thanks for the tip and yes love it more with basic beige❤
Beautiful cards! Yes, the Basic Beige is so much softer with this technique. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome.. thank you for watching!
I have it but haven’t used yet..
Thanks for helping to enlighten me …. And the little trick w ribbon and clip - perfect! I was so upset when River Rock went away - loved it! Great instructions!
So glad you enjoyed it!
I still have River Rock and use it often as we have had no other color that was close. Also, I watch a lot of non-SU cardmaking videos and it is a big trend right now to use white and beige together. It is beautiful!. I LOVE all the cards you made. You have great flair!
Ah thank you!! I definitely WAS convinced about mixing and matching them after making the card with the Beige ribbon!!
You reminded me of how upset I got when an artist outlined a dolphin in black. You said it perfectly when you said it reminds you of a coloring book! Not very real looking. We could try other light colors also to stamp the outline. Thanks so much for this video. 😊
Thanks for sharing the basic beige. All cards were beautiful❤
thanks! glad you enjoyed them.. did you have a favorite?
I’m watching replay…your talent is out of the world..
wow.. so kind of you!! thanks!!
Beautiful card Love the Beige ribbon

thank you so very much!!
These cards are gorgeous Patty! Love them all ❤️
so kind of you.. thank you!!
Fabulous class! Really appreciate the basic beige lesson.
Thank you so very much for watching!!
#replay. Thanks! I was wondering how we would use the ink as well. I am wondering how close basic beige is to Sahara sand.
It's probably similar.. I don't keep retired colors as you know, so I don't have any to compare.
Watching the replay, absolutely beautiful! I would like to try the stencils too .
Thank you so much for watching!!
Watching the replay Patty❤
i patty think i am going to like this new color
It's growing on me too!!
beautiful card
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed them!
All of these cards are absolutely stunning! Thank you so so much Pattie for sharing
So sweet of you. thanks!!
I love the Beige!! TFS!!
So beautiful cards! ❤
thank you so much!! Did you have a favorite, Linda?
very soft and pretty
glad you liked it!!
I believe the basic beige outline creates a much more natural looking rose! Rose do not have black lines in the appearance! It’s a gorgeous flower!
yes, definitely!!
Love this ! Thank you for sharing.
You are most welcome.. thank you for watching!
Love it!
Such great cards!
Thank you!!
Gorgeous card, thank you so much. Great Card.
Thanks! Which one was your favorite?
@@pattystamps Probably the one on my top left with peach rose and next the one next to it in pink with dark centers or accents. but i really love them all and can't wait to try them all. Thanks!
#Replay; Great colouring technique Patty! Hmmm I think what you said about beige vs using black for the first stamp; I agree with you, the beige is a better stamped image b4 colouring. Thank you for all you do Patty! ❤😘
thank you for watching.. so glad you liked the idea!
Love them
thank you!
Gorgeous cards! Thank you, Patty!
So kind of you, thanks for watching!
beautiful & inspiring. waiting for mine to arrive so I can play! Just wondering why you didn't bury the ribbon under the embossed card front instead of tying it around the entire card base?
I don't care for wrapping it around just the one top layer.. too flimsy for me.. I have always wrapped it around the whole card front my whole crafting life :)
Beautiful cards, Patty!
Thank you!
Well, Patty, you did it again! You just knocked me off the fence on that stamp set and Basic Beige. Terrific video, Friend!
I'm glad I could help! :)
Party..you mentioned a raised rose I believe. How would you do that?
I loved that tutorial..such learned here.❤
Like i showed, die cut that single rose and pop it up on dimensionals.
@@pattystamps
Thank you..I guess I was thinking embossed raised.
Beautiful cards thanks for sharing
Hi from Minnesota
Hi! thanks for watching the replay!
Wasn't going to order it. It's on my buy list. Stencils!!
Glad you liked it!!
USING THE BASIC BEIGE GIVES A MORE NATURAL COLOR TO THE OUTLINE. FLOWERS DO NOT HAVE A BLACK OUTLINKE IN NATURE. I WILL BE ORDERING BASIC BEIGE IN MY FIRST ORDER IN MAY. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ALTHOUGH I'M ASSOCIATED WITH A DIFFERENT DEMONSTRATOR. STILL WITH STAMPIN UP!!!! LOVE THE PRODUCTS.
So glad you liked it!!
Your videos are wonderful! Where did you get the color wheel? If you made it, do you have instructions?
It was a gift from Stampin Up! at the OnStage Event in Houston.. they will be selling it later this fall.
@@pattystamps Thank you!
Hello Patty.
Hi! thanks for watching the replay!
Watching replay.
Thank you for watching!
Stamping in basic beige doesn't seem as harsh as black does on the roses you showed.
Yes, much softer!!
Watching replay
Thanks for watching, Rhonda!
Could you please tell me how many sheets are in the Basic Beige cardstock.....thank you!!
Can you use the “masks” by themselves to get the look of the flowers or do you need to stamp them?
yes, you can.. it's not quite as easy to line up.. I do have a video with that method linked at the end of this video, or you can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/Hc9DdxbVQrM/v-deo.htmlsi=BB7psLJBvaLCPfeN
did you stamp with basic beige on white cardstock?
yes
Have you ever tried using blends with masks?
I have not.. but they will stain the mask since they are alcohol ink (like a sharpie marker).. so I may not try it. Let me know if you do.
Where did you get the wheel?
At the Houston OnStage Stampin' Up! event for demonstrators. As I have mentioned though, in several of the color theory videos, it will be available to everyone this fall.
Replay- can you send me the color combos for the 3 cards?
I'll post them on my blog in May.
Where did the color wheel come from?
The one I'm holding was from the Houston OnStage Event in March. There is also a copy in the new catalog.
Thanks. I found it in the catalog.
Does the beige bleed
No, it did not.
Hi
Just wanted to say maybe your neighbors have watched your videos. Maybe that’s the deal with the consistent time on Fridays. Laughing.
