In restore and recover of DEVDB , if target server locations is same as source then what is the need to do "switch datafile all" ?? I don't think it is needed.
Hi, Can you pls explain why switch datafile all is used in the r & r method? we are having the same directories created on the lab3 server, and looks like we have the same controlfile names too. So why the switch datafile all is used and what will be the datafile names if we skip this.
