- I purchased a Chinese Junk Ship in Thailand. It's in bad shape and I'll be fixing her up over the next 5 months and probably more after she's back in the ocean. sit back and enjoy the video. I had fun dressing up as a pirate to film these episodes

Agree on the Parrot vs Monkey, you'll be dodging poop and all other manner of bodily discharges. Plus you can teach the Parrot to say stuff
The amount of daylight shining through the hull was quite worrisome. I wish you the best of adventures in restoration and eventually sailing!
The hull is going to need a lot of work. As is it's basically a sieve lol
Depends on how long she's been out of the water. If the planks are in good condition it just needs to be re-caulked. When the planks swell the gaps will mostly close.
Great interior though, I'm not used to seeing a wooden boat with so much available space.

Next time you go ship shopping, "does it float? And is the hull leaking everywhere?" Might want to move up your list of questions. Ships tend to be happier on the surface of the water and floating is the main distinguishing feature of boats, ships, rafts, canoes and kayaks. Without that ability to keep the majority of the water on the outside you have more of a mold farm or perhaps the makings of a retirement home for seasick eats lol.
It definitely would have been easier if I'd got one that was already floating. I'm hoping to have her in the water in a few months

85 isn’t that old. My sailboat is a 71…only, it’s fiberglass. Wish it was a junk rig, like yours. That’s in the plans for the future.

I do think Orangutans are the nicest of the great apes, and Baboons have historically worked jobs in Africa. So that's a possibility. There are only a few easy to get species though. I would like a monkey, good chance I'd wind up giving it to a zoo, seeing as most monkeys aren't nice. However I could get lucky and raise a good one :)
What’s happening since 10 months ago?once upon a time I was going to move from a tiny north Texas town to Seattle…. A boat would’ve been an option to live on!
Make sure the oilpan is not a aluminum, if it is be sure to isolate it from the electric ⚡

Joe, we have 2 parrots and both are little monsters! One is way worse than the other, she hates me but is in love with Gary. Lol
You can get a baby African Grey here for about $350 I think. They are very smart
