We just spent a glorious week in Paris, arriving home to Canada just a week ago. We loved every minute we were there! We saw and experienced so much. Paris stole our hearts and we are already planning a return trip!
The courtyard of the Louvre was my favorite spot in Paris. Our Airbnb was 2 blocks away and every night we walked through the courtyard and just wandered around looking at the building. So beautiful!!
Thanks for your amazing vids Jay both my girlfriend and I are in Paris this week for our first ever visit. We can’t wait and your vids have been very insightful and a massive help too. Thank you
The Eiffel Tower in the mist is stunning. A boat tour is another great way to see a fair few sights in one go if you don’t want to go in. Miss that city much tonight
I went on a europe trip on my winter break this year and passed by paris. It was stunning and your videos are making me regret not staying that long in paris😂 Much love
Jay, thank you for this! Everyone here (California) has been so concerned about my upcoming trip with the riots going on! This shows that we can still see plenty and avoid any....problems. 😊
We made it to Paris for the 1st time on Jan 26th. We were just there for my B-day and only had a day and a half but we managed to see pretty much everything you mentioned in this video including time in the Louvre , going up the Eiffel tower and touring Notre Dame. Thanks so much. LOVE your videos. They really helped us plan our trip.
Jay Swanson oh no, comparing to South Korea’s -7, I’m totally fine!!! No time to freeze when you have so much splendour around :) stay warm, Jay, and Keep the vlogs coming.
I"m so glad you shot the Notre Dame Cathedral on this day. The next few days will show the Cathedral in flames - it is such a beautiful piece of Gothic Architecture. I am glad that you had a chance to go inside as well as it will not be the same after this huge fire. I cried as it happened - as I write this it is the day after the fire and thankfully no one was injured (a few were slightly injured) and much of the valuable artwork, relics and religious artifacts were rescued. I feel that this cathedral was a part of my life, my education and my heritage - I"ve been to Paris 5x, lived in the southeast of France, am a painting major (so it says on my degree_ha) and I am half French, related to Marie Antoinette as well. But alas...I am too far away to see my beloved cathedral. The Rose Window was also untouched by flames. Just the roof and a lot of wood stuff.
I love sitting in the park behind Notre Dame! Before it closed, there was an Italian restaurant on Rue du Cloître-Notre-Dame, the street next to ND, where I would buy a to-go box (Chinese-style) and sit in that park. I loved it.
Every time I see The Moulin Rouge, all I think about is the fish dish I had at Rouge Bis. So good, and pretty! Great price for a spot that I’m surprised did not feel very touristy. They actually had a beer list.
Thank you for this video as it is going to be helpful when I make my first trip to Paris in late March. I found your channel while looking up info on the Paris metro and have enjoyed your other videos quite a lot. As one of those stereotypical tourists who doesn't speak any French I think I'll be able to survive my trip there thanks to tips from your videos.
Oh my,it's been my dream to go to Paris and yet I have never flown before.Life is passing me by sadly! Well if I ever go I'll have to get you to show me around.
Thanks Jay! You are awesome! I just stumbled on your videos - we are about to spend notre voyage de noces in Paris (and Basel Switzerland). Your videos have been so informative and a BLAST to watch!
and I forgot- I had used the fast entrance to the Louvre 2x's before with my Paris pass and never had a wait, and then this last summer it was crazy! They said no passes, and the line was crazy long. We went back up to the pyramids and hopped the line there, took about 10 mins. All this to say, I think everyone has watched your video. haha
Yum!!!!!! Indian food looked great, just missing the real India backdrop from your trip over Christmas. This is fun! Thanks for the "Paris in 7-10 hours" review. Are there really flowers in the flower beds still blooming in Paris this time of the year??? It's really pretty to see. Thanks for including them in your vlog. Your friends are fun!

Hey Jay, right there on the Trocadero concourse there's a restaurant called Girafe. Wondering if you've been and what you thought? Went there on my first trip and absolutely loved it. Thanks for all the incredible videos!
Thanks for the videos! It’s being so helpful, specially to have an idea how Paris looks these days. My boyfriend and I are going to be there for a few days in two weeks, for the 14th and I was scared about the weather. It looks freezing tho... 🥶
Cool video, that reminds me why I want to organise these kinds of tours. Was it to head over to Notre Dame before the crowds you started there? I would have been tempted to start at Sacré Cœur and do the whole thing walking. Then again, the weather wasn't helping... Anyway, your friends are lucky to know you. No better way to discover Paris!
Walking would be really nice, but hard to accomplish all of this in a day purely by foot. Starting at Sacre Coeur is what I've done in the past too, I think that's a good way to go.
Hi! Man, I´ve been binge watching your channel and love this kind of video, I’m going in February and haven’t found any videos on how to enjoy winter there, (any sightseeing tips, best routes, worst/best weather you could expect)… I mean should I just take the regular advice and add a Coat or are there any other, maybe unexpected, differences? . Thank you for the great shots and music in the videos
Hi Jay, my brother and I have been following your videos relating to Paris for a few months now. Thank you for your commitment to informing us all on what to see and do when in Paris. I particularly loved the 20/20 vlogs there were locations in the 12th, and 19th arrondissements which I had been meaning to visit and you explained in your video/s how to get there. My brother and I will be in Paris at the end of September beginning of October. It would be great to catch up with you for a coffee at the cafe you recommend - Palais Royale subject to your availability?
Hi Jay, your videos are beyond helpful! I'm going to Paris for my 16th birthday in October, apparently it's a really nice time of year but i don't suppose you've been around that time before and is it nice?
Thanks for sharing your vlogs, it really helps a lot...by the way, how much would it cost per person to have lunch and dinner in Paris? Trying to get a good idea on a daily budget for my travel there :)
It depends on what you want to eat, like any city - lower end at a bakery or something could be 5-7euros/person, upper end restaurants could cost hundreds of Euros. I'd google around for menus at specific places you're thinking of eating.
It depends on how long you'll be here and how much you think you'll use it. If you're going to use it a lot, absolutely! If only a little, it's better not to. I wrote all about visiting the city and gave tons of recommendations in my guide if you'd like to pick up a copy bit.ly/ParisVloggersGuide and I think the code JANUTASTIC might still work for 20% off if you're lucky 😀 Happy travels!

Good tip about the back of Notre Dame. About 50 steps behind it is the holocaust memorial that is totally free, usually no wait, and is well worth the extra 15 mins. to pop in.

Love the video, brought me back to the time I visited and also made me feel it is safe even when the news show it’s not.
It's plenty safe. Saturdays have been the only days for protests, and even when they were bigger they were easy enough to avoid.
Don't trust the news they allways make things worst than they are : )
