Guys, It's out new video! PAGANINI 5th Caprice by Steve Vai GOES THRASH METAL!!! How will It sounds? Tell me your opinion! ua-cam.com/video/ZyOmqZ9ZeTk/v-deo.htmlsi=GeemC9pXf94913gN
Of course, that's brilliant among all his techniques played with precise touch, the incredibly pristine sound and over all the pretty good taste. I think one important influence in Andy's whammy bar technique is the style of Brad Gillis.
THEM is one of the greatest collection of compositions ever created. The story itself is mind- bending. The attic, The cellar, Grandma, Missy, King, The old house... but what attaches it all together are the mood swinging solos. It's like the guitars are freaking out as well. Andy AND PETE were phenomenal on this album. Thank you so much for this!!! So very well done!! Enhanced the rest of my life. Thank you!!!
Andy is the man but don’t forget Pete Blakk, his solos are so technical and melodic. Them, Conspiracy and The Eye had the best guitar playing of King Diamonds career on them.🤘🏼🎸
He is to Heavy Metal what David Gilmore is to Progressive Rock - his harmonies are sublime and full of narration. They're not just pretty sounds, they tell stories.
Andy used it well but never made it his identity which is why his solos are unpredictable and memorable. Yngwie while amazing never broke away entirely from it.
Andy LaRocque is the most underrated guitarist of all time! Uniquely melodic and haunting style, crazy technical and doesn't matter how many times i listed to KD, my jaw always hits the floor. The only album by Death i like is Individual Thought Patterns and could easily be attributed to Andy's playing on it!
Talk about technique, Andy is just a monster. I recorded an album with my band at his studio in Sweden about a year and a half ago, and I'm a MASSIVE fan so I was trying my hardest to keep it professional and not fanboy too hard, and then he picks up one of our acoustic guitars while my guitarist was in the bathroom and played some like classical arpeggio thing just to check how that guitar sounded, played for maybe about 8 seconds and my jaw was on the floor lol, I've seen him live plenty with KD but just something about his technique, on an acoustic, 5 feet in front of me..man that guy..
Bro, I agree with you! I think his technique is unique! He is one of my favorite guitarists that influenced me so much about style and technique! I hope you will listen something about my stuff! ⛓️🔥🤘🏻
@@miketheunholy_shred yea dude I should probably mention you nailed those THEM solos about as well as i've seen, Andy's stuff is definitely NOT easy to do, well done sir!
Them was my school bus jam during my freshman year in 88. I started driving when Conspiracy was released. Good times, I eventually discovered Mercyful fate soon after. Came back to this video to hear it again, 1 year later.
Damn I wish I could understand how to do that. For 47 years I've tried but in the process I've developed my own style of shortcuts and showmanship. I envy you and all those other wonderful musicians. All my respect.
The "Warble". Big time Death AND King Diamond fan. I was literally listening to At The Gates and I was like damn this guitarist is totally doing the Andy LaRocque double stop harmonic warble thing... And then I looked it up. GUEST SOLO!
It has been two years, Sir! Not gonna explain myself, you are still brilliant. Period. They Eye, Sir? (your friend from Eastern Europe). [Never gonna bring up I swear but if it's a money issue you know where the find me].
Hi man, thank you for the support! Nothing about money issue! I'm working on a new video about Andy! I play in many bands and this is the reason I'm going slow to share videos on UA-cam! But something Will be out! I Hope very soon! 🤘🏻⛓️🔥
Andy does those welcome home pitch bends with his fingers, not so much with the tremolo bridge, except for the tremolo effects of course, when he holds those screaming notes during the crescendos
Honestly watching this for the 3rd time and I have never seen anyone capture the flare in the bends and whammy the way you do. I am a fan!! If you have any more music ... POST IT!!
Can someone plz give andy the award for best tone over 30 years and running and basically ushering in shred licks with long whammy bar bends or pulls ..this dude and guy from nite ranger that filed in for randy roades when he did pretty much launched the real use of floyds and khalers
Would you have any plans for lessons on how to play these? I was wanting to learn some Andy LaRoque solos, but most of my favourite solos seem way too hard for me at the moment, but I think I just need someone to point out the right way to approach the songs. I really want to learn his solo in Victimized, Black Horsemen would also be great.
Hi bro, thank you for your interest! Now I'm working on a new video that will be released very soon but it's not a bad idea in future to do a video lesson about Andy Larocque style solo! Thank you for the proposal too and stay tuned! 🔥⛓️🤘🏻
Dojście do takiego poziomu jak Mike zajeło by mi lata świetlne wręcz nieosiągalne.Musiałbym nie pracować tylko ćwiczyć poza tym mam drewniane palce, nauka gry to trudna sztuka.
No wonder Chuck Schuldiner wanted him so bad in Death as the man Himself said in an interview. LaRocque was nonetheless professional enough to decline in respect for King Diamond. Among many others from Individual Thought Patterns, Trapped in a Corner has one particular hell of a solo thanks to Andy LaRocque.
Was watching a lot of King last night, this morning you’re in my feed. AWESOME playing dude 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥 There’s a lot of guitarists I look up to but none as much as Andy. You got a new subscriber bro…gotta go watch that again! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Now that is some fret work right there. I really need to get a guitar with a good floyd. Growing out of those static bridges. Good shit brother, keep it up, subscribed. Looking forward to more stuff man.

these are so deep in my subconscious that I forget how technically impressive they are. Tea is incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Best metal guitarist of all time. Andy is so underrated.
Andy is on another level... Has been since the 80's. Such great memories from that man
Agree!! 🔥⛓️🤘🏻
His use of the whammy bar is so musical and melodic, the best with one imo.
Yeah I'm totally agree with you dude!! 🤘🏻⛓️🔥

Andy LaRocque, Hank Shermann, and Michael Denner, all tied for my favourite guitarists ever.
The King was always surrounded by the best guitarists.

Pete Blakk too

I totally agree with you man!! 🔥⛓️🤘🏻
Andy along with Dave Murray of Maiden are the 2 most underrated guitarists ever!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Never forget Pete Blakk. Probably half of the solos are his. Also Annihilators main member Jeff Waters.
Andy LaMike...well done
Ow thank you very much man!! 🔥⛓️🤘🏻
Wow that was so cool to see those solos played out. Excellent.
Liked and sub’d. More LaRocque!
Thank you bro! ⛓️🔥🤘🏻
Andy’s heavy neoclassical style is really awesome, right up there with malmsteen and the other scandi players in my opinion
Andy used it well but never made it his identity which is why his solos are unpredictable and memorable. Yngwie while amazing never broke away entirely from it.
Awesome!!! I would love to see Fatal Portrait or Abigail brotha!!!

Great work! Them and Conspiracy were guitar masterpieces, both solo and rhythm-wise.
