I trialled an AirSense 10 and then the Lowenstein. There was no contest. I bought the Prisma20A and have never looked back. It's a fantastic machine. And an interesting point on the sound - not only is the Primsa20A much quieter, any noise you can hear is very constant. I found with the AS10 that it changed pitch on inhale and exhale. I could hear it "breathe". Your video demonstrated this as well.
Hi Nicko, we are glad you like our product! Unfortunately, it won't be available in the US, but you can buy it in Australia, Europe, and several other countries worldwide. Thank you for your great content - we appreciate it. Greetings from Germany, Your Löwenstein Medical Team
@Michael-ze5xw HI, I am in Ottawa Canada, can you please tell me where I can buy the Prisma 20A? I only see Prisma smart and soft sold online but not 20A. Thanks in advance.
I've had my Lowenstein for about 2 weeks now. I love it, I have been getting to dream state which I haven't for years. It is quiet and very easy to use. The water lasts me 3 days per fill and that includes my afternoon nap. It is definitely worth the little extra to get this machine.
I'm so glad i decided on the prisma20a over the resmed. 1 year using it and had no issues with it. Yes it's a bit bulky to travel with but I don't have to worry if i have to check it in. It's a tank and can handle bumps and knocks well.
Excellent review Nicko, and just to help further is that we've been supplying the Prisma's here in the UK for several years. (Currently the SmartMax + SoftMax with built-in modem). The good news is that the Prisma's can be easily run for travel with the Medistrom, Pilot-24 which comes with all leads for the Lowenstein machines and can be used as UPS too in case of power outages at home. Kath 👍
@@CPAPReviews sorry for delay as I've been away chasing the sun as rubbish summer here this year 😂 Thanks for that info Nicko as didn't realise about the Prisma-line so I'll make sure to point it out on our website 👍Over here it's mainly Prisma SmartMax in clinics + on our site due to convenience of internal modem. Glad this discussion came up thanks.
I have the Lowenstein and love it. I opted for the set pressure version, as my AHI is now low. The reporting is great. I get a message daily with my previous night's sleep, or I can connect with Bluetooth and connect. I tried the heated hose. But the water heater is sufficient. We went all thru Asia for 7 weeks and it never missed a beat. My sleep specialist got the report sent to him at my Jan visit. He said it was well detailed and I was out in 5 mins. I believe one of the other makers batteries will fit it for remote use, but check with your supplier. My 2 previous machines were an Airsense 10 an a F&P. This is 100% better
I bought the Prisma20A, great CPAP machine and Nicko brings it to life with these informative video's. I have found a solution for the humidification shower caused by the buildup up of moisture in the breathing tube. If I run the tube from the CPAP and next to me under my blanket and up into the mask then my body heat on the outside of the tube prevents condensation buildup inside the tube.
This may be something to look into. I have the Airsense10 currently, and while I have no true issues, except if I wake in the middle of the night and try to go back to sleep.. (can basically hear it breathing) I also think I am just too much of a noob with all this, and may need to look into better/newer nasal pillows (using N30i).. but this seems pretty impressive!!
Heya Bob, thanks for the comment! You're most likely waking up after REM sleep when the pressure is highest and although you wake up, it does take some time for the pressure to drop back down so you will be more conscious of the noise etc. Turn the machine off and back on again if you're struggling, it will drop the pressure back down to the min and will gradually ramp back up when you fall asleep again. Cheers mate. Nicko
@@694PDPX6R4What Nicko suggested worked a treat. If I wake now, I usually check the time, turn machine off, and back on.. and within 10 min I'm back out. Mildest of inconvienence but nothing to worry about in the end!

I had a lot of flow limitation using softpap on the 20A, changed to Airsense 11 EPR and sleep much better, all FL gone now. The softpap is not for everyone as it raises pressure again before end of exhale. For me EPR is much better, including raising the min pressure, which softpap does not demand. But the alghoritm is top.
great review love that you take them apart, Is the power supply a big block or just a mains power lead. My current machine has a massive power block, wasted as we don't use humidifier. Pain for travel
In Australia there's another 'middle man' so you have a manufacturer, wholesaler, reseller, and customer. When 3 companies are taking a cut the retail price is always much higher. Aussies always get screwed
Why do CPAP manufacturers NOT add a simple accurate Pulse ox to work with their machines? Because if they did then you the patient would see HOW BAD they perform and you would see you desaturations even with a tight mask fit and the "correct" auto settings!
They sell the prismaSmart range in Canada under AirLiquide branding. Löwenstein do have an office in the US, not sure if they do the sleep stuff, or just ventilation.
As I answered above Nope. Loewenstein Medical doesn't sell this device officialy in USA. They could available in Mexico, Brazil and I believe in Canada. You're wondering why isn't this available in the USA? Because of patents it is not available there!! I think all Loewenstein Medical sleeping apnea devices are not available in the US.
I just got one today. Can i still use it with the sleep HQ or do i have to buy the separate modem.... not sure why it is seperate the modem. Can i just download from the SD card or something? 395 just for the modem.
Just got a Prisma 20A resmed s10 now the spare. I have being using distilled water in the s10 to save the water chambers. Is tap water going to work without the scailing that happens in the s10.
I'm renting one now and it sounds completely different with the tube and mask on when I'm in bed. It's got more of a rhythmic mechanical sound that is slightly annoying.
Hello, where can I buy the Lowenstein Prisma 20A in Canada? I've noticed that the vendors I've searched online usually do not sell a mask with it. Where can I buy the mask for it? Is it only compatible with its own brand of mask?
Sorry but only the Prisma Smart and Prisma Soft are available in Canada. If you want the Prisma 20A you have to go overseas like I am in the process off. Been trying for months to find it in Canada. Just in argument.(negotiations) with bloody new Health Insurance and they are a huge pain.
Nice review. Seems you've turned around on the Lowenstein not being worth the extra cost when comparing it to other machines. One question I have is, how long are they expected to last? (Esp compared to something like ResMed.)
I had a Lowenstein supplied by the hospital and it died on the 3rd night as the hospital had set it up incorrectly by not tightening the heater. So it leaked and the electrics short-circuited. It was a replacement for my ResMed S9 which had run for well over a decade without any problems. I have now been issued a new Lowenstein prisma soft Max. Hopefully, this will prove to be a good machine. I read the Lowenstein motor life may only be 5 years but not able to find the source now.

Found a Downside of getting this machine. Not a lot of apps out there that will provide a detailed analysis. OSCAR seems to do it, but haven't found much else.
hello. sorry my english is not very good. i listened but i didn't understand much. briefly i want to ask this. the doctor told me that i should use an apap device. but i had already bought a cpap for some reason. (resmed airsense 10). will this also work for me? thank you.
Hi Nick great videos, Lowenstein seems quite good. I am in Canada, I have contacted the CPAP supplier i use they don't have it, I have contacted LOWENSTEIN Germany, they gave me a distributor that said " The prismaSmart max is the newer machine and the 20A is the older machine. " that seems wrong to me, I can not get the 20A. I am very disappointed. I will contact Lowenstein again and ask if there is a way to purchase the machine even if I go to Germany. UNLESS you know more about this. I am a pro member Thanks
People who care about their health do not need these devices. I exercise everyday and eat healthy and I do not need anything to help me breathe and I smoked for 26 years. Get out and exercise you will feel better before you know it. If your lazy you will have to get all kinds of medical equipment. Save your life and save your pocket book all at the same time.
You don’t understand sleep apnea. I have a deviated septum, small jaw, large tongue and uvulae, soft palate, short neck I’m under 5ft…. I’ve snored like a battalion since I was 19 and have sleep apnea. My Mum was exactly the same. I wish just keeping fit and healthy would keep my airway open when I sleep. Unfortunately using a CPAP is essential.
Oh look its mr anecdotal evidence. You dont have to be overweight to have sleep apnea. I wish losing weight would fix it would be much sinpler but im not overweight. I have a wide muscular neck which apparently doesnt help. What do you suggest rexmaster?
We have just started using prisma soft and I love how well it is made. The warning is to not move it with water/ humidifier attached as could ruin electronics. I was watching you waving it around…….. I appreciate your educational content. Waving from Melbourne 💖
About time 😂 I've been waiting a year for you to do this one ha ha. I didn't have to add a cloud to got it to connect to my Bluetooth on phone. I have had a conversation with the makers about 7 months ago on how to make the app a little better. The rod does get mineral build up when it goes dry. It's so quite that the only noise you hear is from the mask. But I love my prisma smart.
Haha, i consider a year a short time frame . I've got a water distiller so never used it with tap water but i imagine it's a lot easier to clean compared to a heater plate anyway? Thanks for your feedback
@@CPAPReviews I've only ever used this prisma smart machine. So I wouldn't know about any other hot plate. Yeah we can't use tap water. It's too hard on the machine. Glad you made the video. Thanks
I can confirm there is an easy way to power from battery supply. The official system for 20A is a 12V inverter to 230vac, but a 12vDC-37vDC converter can be DIY'd.
Hey buddy, i did mention the inverters. Easy? Perhaps but it’s an extra piece of equipment and because they are not efficient in the conversion ( and some noisy ) you need to get a larger battery and its also expensive ( on top of an expensive device ) 👍
@CPAPReviews Yep, I agree the inverter is a clunky solution. I have now made a couple of 12-36 converters to do it direct. 12V DC or usb-c input >> 37 out.
@@damian2079 can you advise an efficient way to power the prisma20a when camping? Also do u know how much power it consumes with the humidifier running on medium? I'm thinking of getting a bluetti 780wh power station using AC power to try and get me a few nights but have no idea whether this will be enough? Thanks in advance!!
Where the hell can I buy one of these Löwenstein Prisma20A. I can't find this to purchase anywhere. All I see are resmed. I'm starting to think resmed is cult.
i still love my Lowenstein after 2 years, it is not only comfortable in the sleep, but it even helps me to fall in sleep very quickly ( apr.5 minutes) it is indeed very quite. the device is handed over by my health insurance. when i got it i could find difficult information about it, ad i was jealously looking to the nice ResMed design, but after 2 years and your review , i am very happy i got this one and not the ResMed. i have tried the humidifier for a couple of months, but i noticed it worked for me better without. the humidifier increases the humidity but also the temperature, that i did not find comfortable.
Want to thank you for all your work, Uncle Nicko! An appreciative fan from Montreal, Canada, here! Your videos helped me select a machine (Löwenstein Prisma Smart Max) a little over a month ago to help me with my newly diagnosed "severe" level sleep apnea. I'll be able to use the app once I upgrade my 8-yr-old smartphone (one big expense at a time!!), but for now, main thing is that it's helping me stay awake in the daytime! Your reviews are on the Prisma 20A. The only Löwenstein model I could select was the Smart Max (it was that or a ResMed 10 or 11, the most popular here), but I figured the build and algorithm qualities would likely be the same in the "Smart" as in the "20A" model. Hope I'm right! Anyway cheers, and compliments on your lovely family too! Those happy smiling kiddos always make my day, so thanks and congrats on your YT award! 💐😃
(Yes, I am replying to my own comment. ;-) So I contacted Löwenstein and they were very quick to reply to my email. The Prsima20A is NOT available in Canada. However the Prisma Smart Max and Prisma Soft Max are.
Hi, i was diagnosed about 2 months ago. I trialled the Resmed but i would wake up with it pumping hard. I then saw your review of the tests done, i think in Europe, and tried the Low.. i think i was the first to use one in Albury NSW. I then bought one and couldn't be happier except i would like to be able to access more d detailed data. The App is basic. Do i have access to all the data in the Prisma cloud ? Is that what the other things you put in the details will do? I was tested at 37 ahi and last night i it was 1 so very happy here.
Did you ask Löwenstein why it is not available in the USA? They make it available in Canada but they have been instructed not to sell it to US customers. Why??
Power supply is like a brick. I wish they would invest in one with a smaller form factor and even incoporate it into device, it’s a pain every time I travel with it.
I love my Prisma 20A, it's amazing. I want to take camping, so trying to work out power consumption. I use humidity setting around 4 -6, can anyone advise how much power I am using and a battery solution that will last at least 3 nights e.g 24 hours? Thanks!
I need you to show a comparison between the Lowenstein and the F&P sleepstyle. Any chance you can show the comparison ? Also.. whats with the Sleepstyle+ they have out now ? And can you smell the new humidifier tubs of the sleepstyles ? They changed their plastic and it now stinks.
Hey mate love the reviews and I’ve ordered my 20a already expecting this in the next few days. Question - you mentioned the 3G/4G replacement. Do you have any more details on this? Can’t find anything online and agree it’s an issue!
Great that you plan to add Prisma 20A to the SleepHQ devices list. I believe it's worth to add Prisma Smart Max as well because it's newer machine, it has bluetooth and modem (while Prisma 20A seems missing that connectivity). Not sure but it seems that Smart Max incorporates all functionality of Prisma 20A as it's predecessor.
I've been using the Lowenstein Prisma 20a for three months now, and overall, it's a fantastic machine. However, I did encounter a slight issue with the first machine being a bit noisy, prompting me to exchange it for another one. Unfortunately, the second machine also developed the same noise problem after just three days, and I assumed it was a common issue. Both machines emit a loud, high-pitched whirring noise as it revs up for my inhalation, along with a slight ticking noise from the motor. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with their machines? It's a bit unfortunate because, aside from this noise issue, the machine is nearly perfect in all other aspects.
I got one 4 days back and last night this sound started. Couldn't sleep after getting up at night because the sound is quite irritating in the dead of the night.
@@miranda_1111 - I have had mine for about 3 weeks now and I hardly notice the sound. Mostly because it's not there always. Also I don't get to hear it for more than 3 to 5 mins because I fall asleep quite fast, as compared to the Resmed (which I had for trial), that would give me the feeling of being Darth Vader, as the device amplified my breathing sound and disturbed me as well as others. My humble advice would be to go through the trial and I have a feeling, that just like in my case, you may stop hearing the wheezing sound in about 4 to 5 days. I always felt that the Resmed was trying to smother me with its air pressure and I kind of dreaded the thought of going to sleep. The Prisma 20 with its SoftPap 3 and it's Dynamic setting, has kind of got me addicted to go to bed. By afternoon I am looking forward to getting to bed. My wife and kids did notice the wheezing sound in the initial days but these days (2 to 3 weeks later) my son has to stick his ear to the device to hear it. Otherwise it is super silent.
Hey, I’ve been using the Prisma Smart for around 2 years and preferred it to the res10. Has anyone upgraded from the prisma smart to the A20. I want to know is it worth the change. Thanks and love the videos 😎
After 12 years on the resmed s10 auto, i've just ordered the prisma20a. Looking forward to giving it a go. As soon as you said function over form, i was won over. I really don't see the fascination of having a critically important medical device favouring cosmetics over function. Lets face it, most of the time its in the dark so really who gives a toss? And a family business who really gives a shit rather than a committee of status seeking pleasure monkies making decisions. Very pleased to be supporting these guys
hello there,my airstart 10 apap machine doesnot have data inside the datalog.i had inserted sd card but doesnot record any singal data.datalog folder is empty.plz help me out
I must say I had hoped Bluetooth was part of the data transfer, but it is actually via the 3G modem. The TS software suggests there is much more to this but reserved for hospitals and clinics etc, I don’t think they have been forthcoming to provide all abilities the the public yet, but happy to be corrected on that :)
The Miele of PAP machines... Very utilitarian and no-nonsense. I actually don't mind the appearance, it makes it look more sophisticated. I want one, but unfortunately I just got an Airsense 10, so I'll need to wait until next time. Boo.
The power supply is automatic, it doesn't care if it's 240 Volts at 50 hertz or 120 bolts at 60 hertz, it converts it to What the machine needs. Just need a different plug in is all.
Hello everyone, I'm curious about the compatibility of the Prisma 20a CPAP machine with wireless SD cards. I'm looking into using a wireless SD card for data transfer and I'd appreciate any information on whether this CPAP machine supports wireless SD cards for data transmission. Thank you for your assistance!
Hello. Just got this as my CPAP device after being recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. How does the humidifier work? My room humidifier produces thin fine mist. Does this go through the tube to my mask instead of working like regular room humidifier? I.e it goes directly to the air I’m breathing from the machine instead of humidifying the room? Might be a stupid question but I just wanted to make sure and make sense of all of this. TIA
Thank you for showing how to disasemble device! My story - i forgot water inside and take device to travel and water goes inside. Thanks god it wasnt on electronic. But when i try use it found that it stops detect my breath (green arrow doesnt move on inhale and exhale) and i cannot sleep while it push air on exhalation. so i look your video, disaseble it and put away all water inside (it was a lot) And i fixed it! it detect my breathe again!
Very nice machine but the app software is not available in Panamá my country. That is way I returned and took the resmed 11. Also very good machine too
Hey guys. I'm very new to this CPAP stuff. And I'm very surprised after reading comments on a number of videos that different machines, and especially different brand machines, can give a user a different sleep experience. I was very surprised to see this as I would have thought that, leaving aside things like the machines build quality, cost, quietness, water reservoir size etc etc that they would all basically function the same and give pretty much the same experience. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Can someone please direct me to a video that explains this. I'm quite baffled by it.
@@CPAPReviews one other thing, I would like to get a pair of hypoallergenic filters if there’s an option to add to the order, please let me know what is the process for ordering. Thank you!
Thank you for your very helpful reviews. Your comments re the humidifier triggered this question: do you consider it important to use distilled water? I have been using tap water for 24 years without discerning any negative effects. I would be grateful for your correction should I need it. Thank you indeed!
Hi. I have this model. Messaged you before about hoping connectivity to your site soon. Anyway, just some help/advice. As my main option to monitor effectiveness is the mobile app it has a deep sleep criteria. It is always blank because it "does not have enough data". I mentioned this to my seller who just reassures me it is working fine, which obviously it is. But, it bugs me that this criteria is blank. Would you be able to guide me to fix this?

Hey Nicko, thanks so much for your videos. I have used a Resmed for 6 years, I am eligible for a new machine. I’ve been trying out a Lowenstein prisma AQUA for about a week. It’s going okay, but on a few nights, I’ve noticed a whining sound coming from the machine itself. I checked the tubes. The sound is definitely in the machine itself. Have you heard of this happening?
Oh no I’ve just finished my trial on my f&p sleep style.I mean I love it so quiet and effective controlling my Ahi but I did want to get the Löwenstein.mmmmm 🤔Annoying regarding the 3G thing but it is what it is 😊
Thanks so much for this. My NHS dreamstation 1 is being replaced with one of these tomorrow. Having not heard of the brand this is a most reassuring (nay, exciting!) review. And I’m only 38 (and have an AirMini for travel) so the battery thing doesn’t bother me. 😂
Superb video was almost going to get the dreamstation 2 or the resmed 11 but I'm going with this machine now, but can you tell Me what the difference is to the UK ones prisma smart max auto as you say yours is a 20A? Cheers
Well… This German machine costs twice as much as the Resmed…. Is it really twice as good ? Will your results be twice as good ? Of course not. But for those who have the money to spend and are eager to get the little edge this machine offers it’s a good buy. But so is the Resmed for $1200 less money….
At the time I was looking to purchase a unit, the clinic I was under were charging over $2k by the time they provided a mask etc. In the end there was only a few hundred dollars in it, and the package I got with the Prisma20A was much more comprehensive in what it included, and with spare parts and cleaning accessaries. Start for the first time getting a machine I certainly didn’t want to pay less on an uncomfortable machine to then want to purchase another unit within the next 5 years The lower pressure demonstrated while controlling apneas also had advantages in reducing other side effects, and as a first time user to have a more comfortable experience to get use to regular therapy. That said I have a friend who has a Resmed and no particular complaints, he scored very good second hand deal :)
am i right in this machine can be set to run 8 hours a night not 4 hour with my resmed which wakes me around 4 then 2 plus up and back to sleep to top up my 7 / 8 hours i need to have a good day. PS i am 77 and am working on getting another 25 YEARS in
This machine will run as long as you can sleep, even if you want to or can sleep 12 hours or more. The Resmed just wakes you up after several hours because it keeps jacking up the pressure until you wake up. The Lowenstien doesn't do that. I tried one for a month, I absolutely loved it, in the process of getting health insurance to promise to pay their share, but looking for every excuse not too.
Hi Nicko, Great Channel lots of great information. presently I am using a resmed S9, time for a change. I am in Canada, After watching a few of your videos I am stuck between Lowenstein prisma 20 A or RESMED air sense 11. I don't know if my supplier has Lowenstein. any information about choosing would be great. Thanks
A lot of Canadian companies push the ResMed big time, even when I told the I wanted the Lowenstien. They must get great kickbacks from ResMed. Lowenstien all the way for me, I care about what's left of my life.
I power the unit at home or away with an ecoflow river pro which I already owned for camping. When mains power is connected to the eco it will passthrough to any device bypassing the battery and inverter. When the power cuts out will take over like a ups, brilliant. There is a reason these are not designed for dc input, the power requirement of the big motor and heated tube plus humidifier is massive. I have run the ecoflow flat on a cold night over 8 hours.
Totally agree. When I swapped over to prisma was actually using allot less pressure and soo much more comfortable and less Intrusive

But the alghoritm is top.
great review love that you take them apart,
Is the power supply a big block or just a mains power lead.
My current machine has a massive power block, wasted as we don't use humidifier.
Pain for travel
Should have waited for the PSU reveal. Doh.
Surprised by the price quoted. In Europe, you can buy one Prisma with humidifier for about € 650, 20 % VAT included.
In Australia there's another 'middle man' so you have a manufacturer, wholesaler, reseller, and customer. When 3 companies are taking a cut the retail price is always much higher. Aussies always get screwed
Is there a website where I can buy the Prisma A20? I'm in the United States and cannot find it anywhere. Thank you for your help!
Look at the UK sites
Why do CPAP manufacturers NOT add a simple accurate Pulse ox to work with their machines? Because if they did then you the patient would see HOW BAD they perform and you would see you desaturations even with a tight mask fit and the "correct" auto settings!

@@CPAPReviews You are a gift to humanity! Anyway to get the Lowenstein machine in the US?
Does Lowenstein have any interest in entering the U.S. market?
They sell the prismaSmart range in Canada under AirLiquide branding.
Löwenstein do have an office in the US, not sure if they do the sleep stuff, or just ventilation.
I'm going to contact them and ask haha. I'll gladly be their ambassador if they will have me
As I answered above
Nope.

Hey mate, you should be good mate. You still need to empty it out and clean it a bit though
I bought prisma smart plus in India 2 years back for 58000 rs that's 1054 Aus $ Mask not included.
Cheers mate
Nice review. Seems you've turned around on the Lowenstein not being worth the extra cost when comparing it to other machines. One question I have is, how long are they expected to last? (Esp compared to something like ResMed.)
Thank you!. Not really, i said it's deserving of it's high price tag. Doesn't mean i wouldn't choose a $500 AirSense10 over it though
@@CPAPReviewsdo you sell ResMed Airsense 10 at A$500?
I had a Lowenstein supplied by the hospital and it died on the 3rd night as the hospital had set it up incorrectly by not tightening the heater. So it leaked and the electrics short-circuited. It was a replacement for my ResMed S9 which had run for well over a decade without any problems. I have now been issued a new Lowenstein prisma soft Max. Hopefully, this will prove to be a good machine. I read the Lowenstein motor life may only be 5 years but not able to find the source now.
It was a 5 year warranty, motor life could be much, much longer.
I have found this channel too late. Just bought an Airsense 11...in December...Lowenstein was actually cheaper here...than Airsense...
Anyone know where I can buy this living in America?

seems prisma 20A is not available in Canada, only prisma smart max is available.
(resmed airsense 10). will this also work for me? thank you.
Yes a Resmed 10 can also do APAP as well as CPAP.

Thank you friend
Uncle Nicko.... WTF was that last minute about lol.... Prisma Recover?? Is that on Prisma TS? HAve no IDea WTF that was LOL..
That was showing you that although the video is 10 minutes long, it's actually about 4-5 days work. Cheers
I practice karate so very fit but I still have sleep apnea so your comment is pretty invalid when the context is subjective towards sleep apnea!
I don’t think you understand what sleep apnea is about. Please do some more study on the subject so that you’ll have a better understanding.
We have just started using prisma soft and I love how well it is made. The warning is to not move it with water/ humidifier attached as could ruin electronics. I was watching you waving it around…….. I appreciate your educational content. Waving from Melbourne 💖
Thanks for the tip
My prisma smartmax stop working. Is there any tutorial on how to check the machine? The power adaptor is good.
Can you share with me the hack?
@@damian2079 can you advise an efficient way to power the prisma20a when camping? Also do u know how much power it consumes with the humidifier running on medium? I'm thinking of getting a bluetti 780wh power station using AC power to try and get me a few nights but have no idea whether this will be enough? Thanks in advance!!
Where the hell can I buy one of these Löwenstein Prisma20A. I can't find this to purchase anywhere. All I see are resmed. I'm starting to think resmed is cult.
Any news regarding SleepHQ compatibility?
i still love my Lowenstein after 2 years, it is not only comfortable in the sleep, but it even helps me to fall in sleep very quickly ( apr.5 minutes) it is indeed very quite. the device is handed over by my health insurance. when i got it i could find difficult information about it, ad i was jealously looking to the nice ResMed design, but after 2 years and your review , i am very happy i got this one and not the ResMed. i have tried the humidifier for a couple of months, but i noticed it worked for me better without. the humidifier increases the humidity but also the temperature, that i did not find comfortable.
Thank you my friend. Yes the Storm Trooper is also an excellent device. In some ways it's even better
Where did you purchase your machine? I'm from Montreal.
So it is available in Canada from Canadian therapists and vendors?
(Yes, I am replying to my own comment. ;-) So I contacted Löwenstein and they were very quick to reply to my email. The Prsima20A is NOT available in Canada. However the Prisma Smart Max and Prisma Soft Max are.
I just find the humidifier isn’t as great for those of us with joint issues to open/close.
The prismaTS software is your best choice (at the moment) if you want to see detailed data.
@@damian2079 Thanks. Will have a look.
Did you ask Löwenstein why it is not available in the USA? They make it available in Canada but they have been instructed not to sell it to US customers. Why??
You can get the Prisma Smart and the Prisma Soft in Canada, but NOT the Prisma 20A. I've been trying for months.
Where the hell can I get this in Canada? It's as if this thing doesn't exists ANYWHERE.
what is this mask you have on thumbnail
Prisma20A is Best
Any update on 4g/LTE replacement of 3g cellular modem as we approach the closure of 3g at end August 24'?
Great info as always thanks! Just wanted to say that in keeping with the Star Wars theme - I heard Jabba the Hut in the bloopers 😂
Hahaha, thank you! Good ol' Jabba
Seems that in Spain we can only find the AUTO CPAP LÖWESTEIN PRISMA SMART, does it have the same algorithm? Thanks.

So as i'm seeing you can't get this in USA. ?
Only if you're a SleepHQ Pro member with an annual membership mate - community.sleephq.com/c/platinum-exclusive-deals/lowenstein-prisma20a
Most cpap therapy places push the ressmed products unfortunately.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you got it all sorted. Cheers
I got one 4 days back and last night this sound started. Couldn't sleep after getting up at night because the sound is quite irritating in the dead of the night.
I’ve had one for a trial, it’s a brand new machine, and this is happening. Don’t want to buy one if this is a bug. It will drive me crazy.
Sorry for the late comment but why will it not be available in the US?
I am trialling one and it has a hose connected to it that also plugs into power, To heat the hose. Is that necessary? or just the humidifier is fine?
You don’t need to plug the hose in. You don’t even need to use the humidifier, it’s personal preference😊
Hey, I’ve been using the Prisma Smart for around 2 years and preferred it to the res10. Has anyone upgraded from the prisma smart to the A20. I want to know is it worth the change.
Thanks and love the videos 😎
Hey mate, i'll do a comparison vid. Cheers
I'm sure you'll love it. Cheers

Hi, thanks for the review. Do you know if the Prisma TS Software is available for Mac ? I can’t seem to find it…Cheers
I don't think so mate. Cheers
How do I get the 3G modem replaced with the 4G? Also the modem module does not include Bluetooth. 😔
Can you review the prisma SMART model?
I'll see if i have time to do a comparison vid. It's my understanding this is the 'premium' model. Cheers
The Miele of PAP machines... Very utilitarian and no-nonsense. I actually don't mind the appearance, it makes it look more sophisticated. I want one, but unfortunately I just got an Airsense 10, so I'll need to wait until next time. Boo.
If I buy one from Australia can the power supply be switched to $120 volts instead of 240?
The power supply is automatic, it doesn't care if it's 240 Volts at 50 hertz or 120 bolts at 60 hertz, it converts it to What the machine needs. Just need a different plug in is all.
Hello everyone,
I'm curious about the compatibility of the Prisma 20a CPAP machine with wireless SD cards.

Superb video was almost going to get the dreamstation 2 or the resmed 11 but I'm going with this machine now, but can you tell
Me what the difference is to the UK ones prisma smart max auto as you say yours is a 20A? Cheers
I have a Prisma 30ST, I have been using it for two years and my AHI has IMPROVED by 95%.
Does the hose diameter work with other masks like F30i?
Well… This German machine costs twice as much as the Resmed…. Is it really twice as good ? Will your results be twice as good ?
Of course not. But for those who have the money to spend and are eager to get the little edge this machine offers it’s a good buy.
But so is the Resmed for $1200 less money….
At the time I was looking to purchase a unit, the clinic I was under were charging over $2k by the time they provided a mask etc. In the end there was only a few hundred dollars in it, and the package I got with the Prisma20A was much more comprehensive in what it included, and with spare parts and cleaning accessaries.
Start for the first time getting a machine I certainly didn’t want to pay less on an uncomfortable machine to then want to purchase another unit within the next 5 years
The lower pressure demonstrated while controlling apneas also had advantages in reducing other side effects, and as a first time user to have a more comfortable experience to get use to regular therapy.
You have pronounced it perfectly.
Can you use a SoClean?
💖💖💖🇦🇺
Thank you kindly!
Got a link brother?
Do you recommend dynamic mode or normal? What mode did you use when running your tests?
Yeah, i also want to know this.
Where can I buy a Resmed airsense 11 in Australia? Thanks
From the U.S very easy to import and i teach my SleepHQ members how. Cheers
i am not sure but 1 decibel is halve as loud 2 decibels ?
Actually in sound(acoustics) 3 dB is either 1/2 or doubling, depending on if it is plus or minus 3 dB.
USA…pleeeeease!!!
