    the purpose of this video was to show you how to do the weave. i think people are too focus on the client and her hair texture than the reason behind the video although she could have used another model with relaxed hair i still think she did a good job on the demonstration. You can never please everybody . Good job

      I agree! This video was done to show how to do a vixen sew in. Yes it could have been a little better but for what it was, I say it gets a pass from me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Everyone is not going to have the same opinions on things. Can I get a amen? Lol

      Desire Smith Why does she need a model with relaxed hair? A good press will make your hair look relaxed. I know, I'm transitioning, and I press my own hair (hair stylist here).

    Well I personally think the video was clear enough to get the point across. The idea of the video was to show the technique and you did just that. . . 👌👌👌

  • @MicheleJenae

    This isn't the best version of this technique that I have seen to be honest. The braiding was bulky and big, not flat and smaller plus the styling of her hair was really bad with the blending because the hair was not straightened properly.

    • @chichi3963
      @chichi3963 10 років тому +37

      But did u understand how to do it?

    • @MicheleJenae
      @MicheleJenae 10 років тому +6

      Well, I was looking for the best braiding technique I could find so I was researching to see different ones. I braid better than this anyway so this really wasn't for "learning" in particular. I've seen many tutorials so I already understand the basics. I'm just trying to find one with a braiding style that I'm pleased with and this definitely was not it.

    • @MicheleJenae
      @MicheleJenae 10 років тому +17

      ***** did you fail comprehension class in school or something? I never said I was better. If anything, I KEPT saying that I was LOOKING for a better technique and not to do it myself but if I wanted to have it done, I know how its suppose to look. And it IS needed, its called constructive criticism. If no one stated how they felt about the performance how would she know where she needed to improve and where she did well? I didn't insult the woman to poke jokes at her life or anything. I stated how I felt about the tutorial, that's it. There were plenty of ppl saying the same thing I did, I was just detailed in my description on purpose. That's what the comment space is for... Sensitive much?

    • @divinebeautytv
      @divinebeautytv 10 років тому +35

      Michele Davis you clearly said "i braid better than this anyways" so i guess its you that failed comprehension class lol

    • @MicheleJenae
      @MicheleJenae 10 років тому +16

      Beautilicious Diva you're right I did to respond to some other comment but that wasnt my initial statement which is what IM referring to in the first place. Everyone is missing the big picture and doesn't know the difference between a negative comment versus constructive criticism which was really the point I was making. It wasn't about me being better or learning anything because I'm not doing it. I was just trying to find the ideal version of this style.

  • @niansillabffs

    You did a really good job but she should've had a perm or a REALLY good flat ironing b/c her real hair texture isn't blending. Other than that, thumbs up

    Personally i think black people look better with natural hair , but this is also fantastic how terrific and natural they look with weave or hair pieces , .
    And the young lady in this video is beautiful.

    You've got the technique down, but her hair looks like it hasn't been washed and conditioned before the install [ very important ]. Also, the braiding could've been a little neater and secure. A great foundation makes for an even better install :)

  • @ASHUNTii
    @ASHUNTii 8 років тому +10

    The explanation was clear. But People praise sloppy work? The condition of her hair was terrible for that style. And so was the end result.

  • @ieshaemanuel1
    @ieshaemanuel1 9 років тому +17

    I like the technique. Now the deal about the clients hair, looks like she may have processed(permed) hair and her roots are growing in a bit. As far as the hair that's being sewn in, it looks like cheap hair &/or recycled hair but I don't know her circumstance I'm just guessing. Besides lots of ppl recycle their hair after one use(usually if it's well taken care of, washed/brushed etc). Just gotta give it some TLC :)
    after all I enjoyed the video with that wonderful musica

      I seen this girl get one at my salon and the idea is good but damn if that front is lumpy and bumpy... if you have any thickness and about shoulder length hair or longer... it's suppose to look natural and it doesn't in the front all I'm saying... people are just doing this now everywhere maybe it'll take time to perfect technique here.

      What she did to that girl hair was pretty and really good job you cant blame her if the girl has nappy hair you just have to work with it i know what you mean tho cause her hair really dpnt match but remember the one getting her hair done is the one who got that hair and asked for no perm yah know

    • @tsunamirains
      @tsunamirains 10 років тому +19

      Erica Fields Nappy hair is not a bad thing and I have seen much more kinky hair LAID! It really is a technique that can be perfected also if you have the right tools. It is the hairstylist job. Never blame the client.

    Everyone saying "perm" needs they ass whooped perms are used to make the hair curly what yall mean say it needs to be relaxed because relaxers make your hair permanently straight but the tutorial was amazing the model just has too much product pryior to the install

    This video helps understand the basics of what to do. Everyone criticizing the girl's hair is missing the point. Now the model's hair looked dirty and too greasy and the weave looked greasy as well. So that does take away from the video. However, the technique was there and that was the point.

    Okay I Know I'm Not Black But I Have An Opinion Lol. . . The Texture Of Her Weave And The Texture Of Her Natural Hair Are Not The Same. . . It Doesn't Look Good. She Should've Permed The Leave Out Not Just Flat Iron It

      Girl just because you aren't black doesn't mean you don't know what you're talking about. I agree.

    I get the idea, but hate the visual difference in textures of hair, it's so visual! For me I don't like it when the textures of hair do not match. So a complete sew in is better!
