    I agree with you Richard. Paul I had big problems with my mother. I isolate and my sister is doing my shopping etc. I do not work and do not mix with people because now how I like to be. So I was nominated by the family to be my mother carer. It is a worry. So I understand where you I come from. Bless you both.

    On Marinara sauce, in Australia, Marinara sauce is a seafood sauce and it is very common to see marinara mix in our Delis which is mussels out of the shell, calamari, prawns and fish. The tomato sauce that is Marinara in the US is called Napolitana sauce. I am always interested in these things too.

It will all come out in the wash.....but...seriously.....people doing a title/thumbnail saying 'I have to give up my plot' etc because of the virus......utter twonk! I don't know why its not allowed to drive. Its the safest way of navigating and avoiding the people around. Do I plant or not? My nearest Supermarket is not a walk away. All the corner shops here are going under because cash and carry have closed. I fear for rural folk who have not choice but to drive to a town. I don't think the 'no drive' message is correct. Its essential to many for their food. Lets also remember those who are healthy yet disabled, need walking frames or crutches. Local community groups have set up to help as many as possible but its hit and miss.

    Grains were in abundance in Italy so there was a lot of polenta, etc.
    There were many dishes during the Roman Empire era...fancy some door mice?
    The only seafood part of marinara would be anchovies that are also added to the sauce.

    Hi Paul and Richard. Regarding Marinara sauce: could it be that in the same way Lobster sauce does not contain lobster, Marinara sauce is called that because it originated as a sauce for seafood??? The wiki explanation makes sense as well but you just got me thinking. Love Sunday Chats!

  • @rosenamarshall5502
    @rosenamarshall5502 4 роки тому

    I agree Paul I’ve always been confused about Mariana sauce , I range from imagining a prawn cocktail type sauce to a spices tomato sauce . Especially a lot of Americans use it for shell fish crabs lobster etc as a dip . There are a lot of Americans on u tube using this .im a bit disappointed that it’s a basic tomato sauce as I always imagine something different 😄 .allotments are safer than a supermarket if you don’t drive there so I hope people will be able to go .

    Paul, why don't you say it as it's written: sailor style.
    In Pillars of the Earth (Ken Follett) people were eating bread made from ground grain and ground peas.
    I learned that adding ground up legumes to wheat or other grain flour keeps weevils away.
    The ground up dried peas are toxic to insects like that.
    Probably back in those days adding pea flour to wheat/rye/barley flour would increase the nutritional
    value of the bread.
