The bLind Video was probably my favorite skate video for the best year of my life in skating. I wanna say summer of 1990 or give/take.. But we mainly knew Spike as a skater as he was always in skate magazines.. Aside from this he did a video for Sonic Youth 100%. A epic song that I had no idea there was even a video for it for almost a year.

This is an all time iconic hip hop video. So unique, original. Just fun stuff all the way around. This album "Labcabincalifornia" is my favorite of all the great stuff they have done. And it came out when i was 23 years old, thanks to hip hop my teens and throughout my 20's was the best time of my life. At least artists like The Pharcyde played a role in making it great. Couldn't imagine missing this Golden Era for anything.

My friend Tony was one of the biggest KoRn fans. Sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's we were hanging out and I asked him what Hip Hop he liked and he said "The Pharcyde and Black Sheep". At the time I had a CD Soundtrack of 'Office Space' which featured Slum Village 'Get dis Money" which made me get their album 'Fantastic Voyage Vol 2.' on CD and at the time I didn't realize J Dilla from SV was producing so many other songs, including for The Pharcyde. It was strange before the Internet but I miss it. The only way I would have known that at the time would be to look in the CD booklets of The Pharcyde and notice in small letters "produced by J Dilla". I eventually saw both groups on tour, I think maybe even at the same concert, Rock the Bells. It was shortly before Baatin passed. RIP Tony, J Dilla, Baatin.

I can't believe I've never heard of this group before. This is not only by far the most original concept for a video that they NAILED, but the song itself is miles above 99% of any other rap song imo. The flow and lyrics feel like a giant maze of domino's are perfectly falling down, knocking over a new row every few seconds in my head.

We used to listen to The Pharcyde when I was in high school (in France), more than 20 years ago, and I saw them live for the first time two weeks ago in a small free festival, on a tiny stage, right next to my former high school. I was there with my high school friends and it brought back so many memories. We all had a great time and so did they, throwing a mini block party at the end of the gig, with the audience dancing on the stage. One of the best hip-hop gig I've seen, and I've seen a few !

For any one wanting to know the locations on where this video is filmed, The first part, is filmed on "St Vincent ct" alley way where "Garos Deli" is, The second part, where the big theatre sign is showing and the beasties boys cameo is, that street is broadway "Los Angeles theatre" (the st Vincent alley way is right behind this) The ending part, where they past the flourist and hotel, that hotel is called "Alexandria hotel" on 5th street, the (flourist is out of buisness) And the alley way where they go in and get wet and have a gonz painting at the end is a alley way right accross the hotel, its closed off to the public now ** the only reason i did this is cus i was also curious about the locations and i went out to la to find them myself so im sure some one else out there is too**
