In terms of gameplay, it has its problems as every game, but in a matter of work, Battlefield 1 is the best war game ever made. The history in singleplayer is superb, the photography, graphics, soundtrack, sound design, everything is well done, well made, such a masterpiece.
And the codec details were amazing to unlock and read
@No Ye Being fair, if you look at the historical accuracy level for the main part of them game, neither is far off, yes BFV you can have female German soldiers, yet in BF1 you were forced to be a black German scout in Europe
The biggest and most obvious one is just the option to play as a female
They ironically fixed the BF1 issue, as the British can play as minorities but not the Germans

The soundtrack for Battlefield 1 sets the bar so high, at this point, I am not even sure if they beat themselves and do better in the next game! The only game I will never get rid off.

My great great grandfather fought in paschendalle. Apparently he did not like to mention the war. My grandfather told me how he left his wife and four kids and a child on the way. He had a whole head of hair and was very happy with his life. When he came home his hair was grey and spent nights restless having panicked fits and feeling utterly alone. You can imagine how he felt just 2 decades later when it happened again.

My great Grandfather was also a Ww1 veteran and was german. He was in the war from 1914-1917 when he was captured by the Russians but was released back to Germany and served on the western front for the rest of the war. He came back broken and PTSD ridden from what I heard.
4 years later, Battlefield 1's trailers and soundtracks still give me the goosebumps...How did we go from this to BF5 and BF2042 ?

I love the fact that for the apocalypse dlc cover art, it is a German storm trooper holding an MG 08
I started BF1 long after launch in 2019, so this is what greeted me in the main menu. I wasn't jamming to it like other tracks, but in one word, it was 'Impactful.'
The choir section at the end is beautiful, haunting and gives me chills every time. I like to think the four varying chants represent not only the four horsemen of the apocalypse but also the four years of the war itself, 1914-15 the beginning, 1915-16 the escalation, 1916-17 losing all hope of an end and then 1917-18 the bittersweet end when it finally came
In each of the previous DLC’s we see brave soldiers, men and or women, in a heroic stance, posed like heroes. I’m Apocalypse, they have no face, there is no humanity to be shown. They are no hero, they are a soldier, worn and battle hardened, and just like the smoke and fire around them, the soldier only sees the world around them through the fog that is war
This theme really shows how by the end of the war, everything just didn't matter
No matter who would win this war, it wouldn't make up the losses of life

I pretty much cried listening to this, no words can describe the weight behind this piece of music but everyone can feel it, the death and despair, I think its impossible to top this track, this game was and still is a masterpiece that no words can describe, this'll definitely stick with me, maybe forever

I feel like its incomplete, not enough weapons or maps, i also feel like the whole tides of war stuff complicates things too. The Game play is ok, but i still prefer BF1 or even BF4 over BFV

Ok, so I was playing Battlefield 1 the other day, and had my TV also connected to my PC, but playing “The Dark Knight” movie in the background on low volume. I was on the Battlefield main menu watching the “truck scene” AND I HAD NO IDEA THIS SONG WAS FROM THE GAME. I THOUGHT IT WAS IN THE MOVIE! AND IT COULD NOT HAVE GONE BETTER WITH THE MOVIE. IT WAS AWESOME! THEN I REALIZED IT WAS COMING FROM THE GAME AND I HAD TO LOOK IF UP!

The visuals in this game are still better than most games out today
If you listen closely you can hear whispering voices, hissing gas, and ringing ears throughout the theme.

The only theme in a game for which I always wait in the main menu till it's over. Or in the spawn screen after the death... It's pretty epic and somehow also sad at the same time, if you listen to it till end, then you spawn directly into the battle. Gun sounds, explosions, screams everywhere around you... Damn, I love this DLC. And BF1 in general!
