Classic! Thanks for sharing!
i've forgotten the subtle art of black and white films
One Step Beyond had an episode called Where Are They? that had a story about a man who mixed something with water and made a gasoline substitute.
Originally telecast on August 30, 1951.
Wow I forgot all about this show
The thing about this is that the fundamental rule of chemistry, physics and energy is there is no free lunch. That is all you have to know and remember when approached about anything that promises free energy. Energy is NOT created from nothing. It takes energy to make energy. PERIOD.

@@hobonickel Basic concept taught in middle school science and if one thinks about their everyday life it's a little obvious - one always needs to keep adding fuel to a fire.
Ralph had a stand out voice. I wonder if he was
a British actor
Interestingly acetylene mixed with water will run an engine.
It costs more than petrol and is not good for your engine but it was a great con that fooled Henry Ford back in the day.
And only a few years ago, someone tried this scam in aotearoa (NZ).
The actor with the moustache who played
Ralph had distinctive voice
starred in a couple of the 'The Lone Ranger' tv series
Don't you mean calcium carbide and water making acetylene? AKA miners lamps.
