Our Durabase CI++ matting can be used on chipboard, we would recommend speaking to your preferred adhesive manufacturer for advice on primers and adhesive to use.
Hi, I'm just doing a small cloakroom - but I'm confused about the use of matting so thin at 3mm. If it's filled with adhesive, then aren't I just making a solid - like resin in the making of fibreglass - which would transfer ground movement to the tile and result in cracks?
It is the wells / dimples that are being filled with adhesive, these form pillars within the matting surrounded by air channels rather than the matting being completely filled with adhesive
Hi Durabase. Planning on using the Cl++ matting for my project. What adhesive would you recommend for tiling onto primed 22mm chipboard, screwed every 150mm, on hydronic UFH. Thanks
Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. We don't recommend a specific manufacturer, we only advise that the adhesive is flexible and suitable for your subfloor. If you need any further information please don't hesitate to contact us.

How thick is the matt? Thnx
Hi, Our Ci matting is 3mm thick.
Maybe if you were a real tile setter and not lazy and actually put more spots when spot bonding you would be ok ?? Lol
maybe if YOU were a real tiler you'd know that 'spot bonding' is useless. A real tiler never uses spot bonding. Stick to dot&dab plaster boarding lad.
Why do it wrong if doing right is quite easy 🤷♂️
