- Ruroc Fired me as a sponsored rider well over a year ago now. I made a response video not because I wanted stir up drama or anything. Mainly wanted address the comments by you all about the helmets being bad quality. Well the response I got from you all was shocking but even crazier was the email I got from Ruroc themselves!

I've always said that products/bikes given out to influencers tend to be "cherry-picked" to the absolute best quality they can provide. The average Joe's like us that buy these products tend to get the short end of the stick in the end.....
my atlas 4 has been a disappointment the nebula colour is fine but the visor gasket began tearing and peeling off clearly barely any adhesive to hold it in place, my shockwave never fully charges the visor is sometimes almost impossible to open and it recently began whistling cant figure out why

I’ve been really happy with my carbon 4.0 No quality problems and fits great, also, the newer shockwave plays music beautifully 🤷🏼♂️

I hate it so much when influencers say "oh well I didn't have any problems with my [brand] material!" because it's common knowledge that brands will send higher grade quality items to their sponsored influencers.
Unfortunately the true part about sponsored products is that you do have to go through the effort of buying them for yourself anonymously. It is expensive but you get the best results that way.

RuRoc got caught shipping paid sponsors one helmet and then shipping some subpar bs to paying customers.
My wife and I have 4.0s and they've been great so far. Only issue we had was with their comms app.

My thoughts are this
1) People love to hate on the new products, I seriously doubt that there was that big of a quality control issue, I have never had any problems with mine.
2) Pissed off/mad people are going to go around and post all butt hurt about something they bought that didn't live up to their expectations. People who don't have problems don't go out and say "This is my and I have no problems with it."
3) People like to band wagon on and say "Oh mine sucked too, even though they didn't even buy them,

My first brand new helmet I bought was a ruroc and it had a crack in the foam from factory and also a scratch on there visor and they basically wanted nothing to do with me

i have a 4.0 atlas carbon and its was nice except when i noticed my nose touched when at speed and that just made me nervous.
Nice fanny pack bro! But yeah QC issues make me nervous whenever I get product from small companies. I did a helmet a while back and requested a second one just to check for issues. Just in case...
That also depends on there marketing, I recently had Viking Bags ask me to do a review, along with what seems to be a bunch of the Shadetree Army, great products, then poof no more, except I have a full review posting on May 24th.
Accounts receivable will always be faster than accounts payable. The IRS will hunt you down with guns for their cut. but you will wait 3 to 6 months when they owe you.
Gotta love building someone a brand just to get shafted.

Mainly nothing but good with Ruroc for me. I have the atlas 2.0 and The only problem that I have is, there is no way of getting more visors or pin locks and I really need a new pin lock they said they only ship them out to people in the UK not in the US since it's a 2.0. I'm not out here about to spend another $500- $600 on a 4.0 when all I need is a $25 pin lock.

Nah, their helmets are trash, just sent back one of their new Eox helmets cause the M fit like an XS, the foam padding was lose and the liner fell out if you shook the helmet. I wanted to love it, even bought 2 visors to go with the buzzsaw design
Not hating on companies at all but there's certain companies i know are half way decent that i trust and have found a few other companies that i found that are better. it's a bit hard to use new companies that i've never heard of before.

Ruroc Atlas 4.0 Liquid Carbon,…. Not gonna lie, I bought one based on not only yours but others review of it. Took a while for it to get here to Hawaii. Great helmet other than a few quality issues, shockwave keeps falling out, rubber trim doesn’t stick and keeps falling off, weird lump rubbing my top left skull that’s irritating…. Reached out to Ruroc twice via email and never heard back. Chalked it up to just shitty business practice. It’s still my only street helmet, I can’t afford a good one after convincing my wife to dropping a good amount of money on a “good and safe” helmet. Live and learn I guess. Aloha 🤙🏽
I will point out that I never reviewed a Ruroc helmet. I had it in my contract that I wouldn't. A sponsored rider can't truly review somethings they're being paid to wear. Even if I did it honestly it would hold no weight. So my deal was I'd wear them exclusively, post the links, and tag them when I can. But sorry they ignored you. Hate hearing that.

Man... coming out and talking about this stuff takes courage. Companies who are sponsoring videos like yours really need to think about how they treat customers you're bringing to the table... because it reflects on YOU the kinds of experience they're having. I really hope Ruroc will step up their game and start making quality a priority.
Ruroc is a terrible company and their products are expensive trash. The only reason I still have mine is because it was an expensive gift from my wife. I have had to glue trim pieces back on, the straps suck, they offer crazy discounts on and off, so if you do want one just wait till they are 50% off. The shockwave system sucks and is crazy expensive. £650 for a helmet and Bluetooth is expensive and you don't expect them to fall apart after a couple of rides.
I bought one ruroc helmet and they will never get me again. Fit was awful, padding constantly wanting to fall out of it, awful wind whistle and practically a bobble head at high speeds making it hard to see/focus. Ive worn $150 helmets that are better, let alone $500+ for ruroc. Scorpion is the best bang for buck helmet imo
I bough a Ruroc, just wasn’t for me. My Sedici Strada 3 is better fit and the small touches make a difference in my opinion (like the sun visor).

I didn't see the video that this is in response to or whatever but as soon as you mentioned your viewers comments about quality control I was like fuck yeah quality of my Atlas 4.0 track is shit.
I had bought a berserker helmet when ruroc were at peak hype tbh regretted it not long after getting it only took a couple wears for the padding to deflate a bit and became a bit loose fitting to where it was noticeable and the visibility out of it is terrible honestly felt like you get maybe 60° out of it

Hey Jake! This isn’t directly related to this video, but I started watching your videos when I was 17 (I’m 28 now) and had my first DRZ400sm. I even bought a pair of RHOK jeans and man did they cop a beating doing sumo shit and learning to wheelie 🤣
I remember saying in the comments when I ordered the jeans that I was a little bit sad that I’m in Australia and not America because you used to sign packages. So when I opened my delivery, they had a hand print outlined with snakes drawn on it saying ‘Jake was here via proxy’ and it was the absolute best!!

Like I said, I gave helmets and pants to riders when I did RHOK gear. I never opened a package up and looked at it ahead of time.
@@TheGardenSnake I think it would be a bit of an oversight to not give the reviewer/promoter the best product possible for a favourable review,
if there was a 1000 to 1 chance of a fault you surely wouldn't want it to go to them for review. I guess as a sponsored rider you wouldn't give a bad review anyway.

I bought a ruroc in June 2022. They sent the wrong size so I returned it, just over a month later they sent me the right size. And since then I haven’t had an issue with the helmet

My first brand new helmet (I started riding with a hand-me-down helmet before I knew that helmets had "expiration" dates) was one of the first models that Ruroc came out with. It wasn't really anything to brag about. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either, but I decided to give them a couple chances and when the 2.0 and 3.0 were released I got them just to try them out. The quality (again, my experience) seemed to get better as the newer ones came out, especially with the accessories that you could add to them after purchase. (I have the Atlas Shockwave on my 3.0 Atlas Spitfire and it works well). I haven't pulled the trigger on a 4.0 Atlas or the Eox because of your video actually, and that's mainly due to the fact that over the years of watching your videos, I've known you to be one of the most honest motovloggers on UA-cam ever and you don't let brands sway you and I respect that.
I do like the new 4.0 track helmets, more specifically Stars and Stripes. Would be cool to see that sort of design in the regular carbon and street series as well as on the Eox.
I have a 4.0 track and it’s right up there quality wise with my $700 agv . Rode to sturgis from Florida and back with many 10+ hour days riding through blazing sunlight and horrible rain and the helmet didn’t have a single issue
