The Mekong branches off and flows into the China sea. I wasn't aware of the boundary of the Gulf of Thailand. To further distract from the video I retracted the statement.
I was at NKP from Nov. 1972-Apr. 1974. It was a very memorable experience. I had a little bungalow on the Mekong where I stayed with my wife to be right near the Ho Chi Minh clock tower. We were married in 1977. Went to That Phanom when I was stationed there and have been back there several times since. The pictures of the base were amazing. Nothing left of it now but the airstrip. It was a very different place back then.
I’d try snake head but I’ll pass on field mouse. I would love to visit your town/area but getting there on a short vacation may just be a bit much. Also while still I year off I plan on going in May and that’s your peak travel time too so odds are you and Paige will be on the road. If it doesn’t work out I’ll just have to wait another few years and run up there if I end up retiring in Thailand. Thanks for the travel tips. I’m saving this one to my Thailand info playlist 👍🏻😀🙏.
Hi Chuck, I just came across your channel and I love your vlogs about life in Nakhon Phanom. My family is from there so it's nice to see Nakhon Phanom getting some exposure 😊
Very interesting place with lots of things to do . We only travel from November until the end of March just to escape our winters in the Canadian Rockies. So this year will be a no show but definitely when things are back to a more normal times or a more new normal times Thanks for the info.
Great Video! I love the area and definitely need to get back there to see some of the events. Great breeze off of the river which helps with the summer heat!
Very nice piece Chuck showcasing some great events there and can’t wait to explore the areas more thank you for taking the much dedicated time to put that video together and sharing with us
Honestly this is one of the best videos I have seen to promote the area you call home now!! Seriously wonderful!! Before discovering this channel I would have never even considered visiting this majestic province! Scenes- impeccable, full of extremely useful info, Well done Chuck and Paige!! One day I will visit you! 🇹🇭🇨🇦👍 then buy you both a Baby Leo!
Awesome video Chuck, a great advertisement for Nakhon Phanom, I think you might have a new job, working for TAT after this. I hope this will be a ongoing series, showcasing other cities are Thailand, a truely amazing country, thank you very much, really enjoyed this one👍
Thanks for the very good info of NKP. You gave a very good narration, and from me thank you very much. I never have made it to that part of Thailand, have only been to Korat. Keep up the good work, and make all of your narrations good like this. Glad to hear that you also enjoyed your trip back home to Texas, you should have stayed a little longer though. Also glad to hear that you are happy to be back home in Thailand. You and Paige take care, and also all of your relations of Thailand.
I can tell you have a lot of fun with the new video editing style Chuck :D :D Its great you don't get tired of making entertaining videos for us to enjoy, but also find new ways to entertain yourself as well :)
Chuck, thanks for the good information and links. I will archive this one for future reference. I still hope to be in Udon thani this October and will be traveling in your area most likely. Hi Chuck ... what's the name of the town across the river at the Laos border ? Can we travel across the river from Nakhon Phanom ? Been to a few cities in Thailand but never to Isaan yet . Tq - : Malaysia
Thanks for this informative video Chuck. I'm heading to Thailand for a few weeks in June and trying to decide what areas to explore, so this is information very useful. I look forward to your future "where to go" videos.
Hi Chuck ! To me the Mekong River flows into the South China Sea, the southern limit of the Gulf of Thailand is Cape Bai Bung Vietnam. No offense maybe I'm wrong.
I am no expert for sure. I didn't see any information that there is a specific border line in the Gulf of Thailand. However yes it flows through many countries and ends through Vietnam. Branches off at the end into the China Sea and What always appeared to me the Gulf of Thailand. I was only making a dramatized statement on The massive Mekong. I only shared my adventures and opinion. If I am wrong than I stand corrected. Thank you for the info.

Are they doing major road construction in That Phanom? When I do a Google earth it looks like it.
Yes there is major construction going throughout Thailand.
Server address for Nakhon Phanom Airport cannot be found even when trying links via google.
Did you click on the link in the description box? If you can't from there not sure why.
notime2bsad Hi Chuck yes I did and then I tried via google search the same address. The site is not operational at least for now.
Sorry I have clicked on it again. I guess it is not available to you.
Chuck, hop on my discord channel, (link on my channel) have some stuff I am working on for your videos.
Not sure what to look for on the channel is there a separate link?
I have a question.. are all the blue tuk-tuk ' s I see in your video built by Paul Red??? I think Paul Red has build a few these tuk-tuks in his day.
Most yes.
I would never use one of them suicide vans,, bus is bad enough but them suicide vans way to dangerous
