As Kevin is an observational comedian, this isn’t a “joke”. It’s just a story told in a funny entertaining way. Those are the best IMO

An "altercation", a nice euphemism beloved by us Glaswegians to refer to anything from a one-hit fight to a pitched battle. Kevin adopts the glottal stop in Glasgow style and it sounds more like ol-her-cation. Yet you Americans do the same thing but make the "t" a soft "d" - budder, madder... But still you find our accent hard!

Yeah, but 'spacebar' stops my recordings. I found that out the hard way 😅
Spacebar activates the button that has the current focus, so it can do all sorts of random stuff if you've been playing with the other controls, like take you in or out of fullscreen 😡🤣 default is play/pause in a regular browser

You’ll be happy to know Kevin on stage often slows down his speech and attempts to sound more English and less Scottish.
Unfortunately this is an example of him doing that.
You gradually get an ear for the Scottish accent but then there are always certain words and phrases that don’t immediately translate in any language.

The Everlasting cough a Mandy nightmare, not sure if this'll go down well (unlike the titanic) "It wasn't the cough that carried him off," It was the coffin they carried him off in. This comes from Victorian times. Before the advent of penicillin If you did not look after yourself, a cold went straight to the chest, turned from pneumonia into double pneumonia and you were dead within a fortnight.
