●THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM MUST BE PREACHED●
●●Jesus tells us that the gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the end times.
●●Michael is the one who had come to the aid of the angel giving Daniel this prophecy. Michael is “Israel’s prince” (10:21), the “great prince who stands guard” over the sons of Daniel’s people, Israel (12:1). How could the “protector of Israel” hasty this time of such great suffering?
Rev. 19:19-20 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who sat upon the horse, and against His army. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.
The deliverance of God’s people is that which occurs in the time of her greatest trouble-the Great Tribulation. ●●God has chosen to bring about the salvation of his chosen ones by means of suffering. ●●
●●God does save men and women from suffering, but He also saves through suffering. ●●
●●Consider for a moment the deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage. God was well aware of their suffering and heard the cries of His people. He sent Moses to deliver His people from their suffering. But the deliverance of the Israelites came through suffering. When Moses appeared before Pharaoh and demanded that he let God’s people go, Pharaoh only made things more difficult for the Jews. The Jews protested that Moses had only made matters worse. In a sense, they were right. ●●
Things were going to get worse before they got better. It looked as though the entire nation would be wiped out by the Egyptian army as they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and the approaching Egyptian forces. But God opened the sea, bringing about the salvation of His people and the destruction of their enemies.
●●Israel will be delivered by means of the suffering of the nation in the time of the Great Tribulation. ●● For this reason, ●●Michael, the guardian prince of the nation Israel, is revealed as the one who will arise, bringing about the Great Tribulation. ●●
●●Israel’s time of great suffering is God’s appointed means for her deliverance; thus, ●●when Michael arises and the tribulation begins, it is like the doctor who “breaks the water” of a woman as she nears the time to give birth to her child. A time of pain will come upon her, but it is through this pain that the joy of new life will come to pass. ●●
Daniel 11:33-35 “And those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder, for many days. 34 Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy. 35 And some of those who have insight will fall, in order to refine, purge, and make them pure, until the end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.
An army of 144,000 Jewish men and women are brought to faith in Tribulation by God’s grace
THE RESURRECTION OF THOSE WHO DIED IN THE TRIBULATION
Daniel appears to be presenting Israel as a grave site under God’s curse: ●●In v.2, we’re told that many of Israel who “sleep” in the dust of the ground will awaken. ●●
●●To sleep means to die, to be without a body. At death, the body of a saint enters the grave, while the spirit continues to exist in full consciousness
That spirit awaits a new body in a day to come, at the time of the resurrection●●
●●This Resurrection will take place after the Great Tribulation. Notice what Daniel says next:
Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. Daniel 12:3 NASB●●

THE END TIME EVENTS LEADING TO THE FINAL RESURRECTION AND REWARD Daniel 12:1-13
    ●INTRODUCTION
This final chapter of the book of Daniel focuses on end-time prophecy-events that will occur just before and after Jesus Christ returns to earth.
Satan had tried to keep Daniel from understanding the visions he had received and thus prevent God’s truth from being revealed to us! Earlier,
●an angel had told Daniel: “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia [a powerful evil spirit] withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, [the archangel] Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. ●
Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come” (Daniel 10:13-14,
Daniel 12 is the crowning chapter of this prophecy, as well as its conclusion. It takes the believer to the high-water mark of Christian hope-the assurance of the resurrection of the dead. Let us listen and learn, and gain hope and comfort.
    ISRAEL’S DISTRESS AND DELIVERANCE
    (12:1-4)
“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. 3 And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 4 But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”
This “time of trouble” corresponds with the one spoken of by the prophet Jeremiah: “Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins like a woman in labor, and all faces turned pale? Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it” (Jeremiah 30:6-7).
●This yet-to-be-fulfilled end-time prophecy will first be directed toward the modern descendants of the ancient Israelites, many of whom today reside in the United States, Britain and related countries. ●
Jesus Himself also referred to this time saying, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).
    SIGNS OF CHRIST’S RETURN
As for exactly when Jesus Christ will return, the Bible tells us that no man may know the day or the hour (Matthew 24:36). However, we are also told that when certain signs appear, we will know that it is imminent, that it is “at the doors” (verse 33).
Regarding this end-time prophecy, Jesus told His disciples (and us today) that in the time leading up to His second coming (verses 3-7) there would be:
    • 1 Religious deception.
    • 2. Wars.
    • 3. Famines.
    • 4. Pestilences.
    • 5. Earthquakes.
Jesus referred to them as the “beginning of sorrows” (verse 8). In the time leading up to Christ’s return, these events will increase in intensity.
    ●Then Jesus listed these signs:
    • False prophets will arise to deceive many (verse 5).
    • Many of God’s people will be hated, hunted and killed (verse 9).
    • Lawlessness shall abound (verse 12).
    • And even as these tragic sorrows intensify, “this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come” (verse 14).
