- I often find myself in the countryside, following easy-to-find shortlines across New England. While that's great, how about a complete change of pace? On August 1st, I spent the day filming trains around Montreal with @railfancharles8289 and @mtlrailfan, visiting some favorite local locations and capturing the diverse action Canadain National, VIA Rail, and EXO has to offer. Multiple locals, transfers, road freights, and passenger trains are featured, with several two-way and even a three-way meet! Montreal's new REM can be seen during our visit to Pointe-St-Charles.
Locations:
St-Lambert, QC
Montreal, QC
Pointe-St-Charles, QC
St-Henri, QC
Southwark/St-Lambert, QC

thanks for the video im from Montreal
C'est absolument Magnifque! Amazing footage. I hope you had a great time here in Montréal.
Those two GP-38's seem to run very well even though they look terrible. Company making huge profits should have a little more company pride.
You said it! How do you expect people to treat you like a first-class outfit if you don't present yourself as one? Locomotives are a rolling billboard for the railroads that own them, whether they like it or not.
Fabulous Yard work and a magnificent backdrop
Nice! Thanks for taking us along.
Your videos are a joy to watch
Glad to hear
Absolutely 💜💜💜 the soundtrack
Keep it going………..
Perfect golden hour to end it
Cool video, lots of diverse action and power too! (Dave).
i like how you documented the train movements through out the video. also, what kind of camera do you use?
I'd like to go railfanning in Montreal and I only live 45 minutes north from Montreal but even though i could park my car at st jérome and take the train i never do it alone before and i can go by car but driving in a big city stress me a lot im use to drive in my rural town
My old neighborhood.
Great video.
Nice catch 👍🏻
Love those stainless last cars
I would ride THERE
Nice!🙂🙂
What type of camera for filming do you have
I love the quality
Panasonic VX981
I didn't know Montreal had a subway
@@SpenserKuzub It has one of the best (in my opinion) in North America!
These GP38’s look to this novice to be in FAR better shape than the pan am GP40’s from CN
The governing body of the time could've done more to keep Montreal Locomotive Works going. Just my opinion.
For the bridge at Southwark Yard do you park on the north or south side of the interstate to walk to it?
I park on the south side personally. It’s very accessible!
So very beautiful 35:54
I felt 100% shut out of the live chat. To enjoy trains we socialize with fans & the love of the hobby. As a rail fan especially A Canadian rail fan i was ignored. Even tho the contents of this video is great but couldn't enjoy.
I am a subscriber to (?)
Not sure what you’re going on about. Hope you enjoyed the video.
@@NorthCountryTrains Simple I wasn't even greeted to the chat & being ignored . Its plain & simple manners to your viewers.
