"We're too isolated in Spain with far too much land and want to live at the edge of a village and be part of a community." So which house did they go for? The one in the middle of nowhere with a whopping 3 acres and only a bunch of Llamas as neighbours. There's a very good saying in Yorkshire - 'There's nowt so strange as folk'
What are they nuts! Choosing number 3 over the second option? You couldn't have pulled me out of that fabulous red brick home & that courtyard ♥️...just gorgeous...❤🏚️
Loved house#2 better than the 3rd. I think the kitchen was larger with more cabinets, and the way it was layed out. was nicer. I wish we could hear what the couple decided.
Do not understand why they did not notice how SMALL the windows are in the mystery house. Dark kitchen, with zero windows at that end as well as the master whose window is way up the wall so you have zero way to look out. In terms of counter space the first one had the most, yet they thought it was too small. Curious.
Totally agree - they loved the views from the windows in the 2nd house as the windows were large and low down so they could see outside, and yet they chose the mystery house with small, high-up windows! And indeed, she wrote off the 1st house immediately as the kitchen was too small and yet the kitchen was vast!
I loved house #1. Nice large kitchen which they found too small. #2 was pretty but there was something about all the additions. #3 was pretty but I wouldn’t want to walk into the house and straight into a dining table, but I would like alpacas for neighbors.
Jules is in his element at air museums, but the Brits built great birds. He was like a little kid sitting in that plane--so fun! The second house was HUGE---geez!
They wanted neighbors and a village and then go mad for mystery house which has neither... I liked houses 1 and 2 better but I couldn't afford any of them, not then and not now lol.
Home, no2 was fabulous. Stunning, well planted garden, barbecue area, garden cottage, garages...views. no3, looked like a prison, with an uncovered smart entrance. All that land to be maintained, unless they want to be farmers! Kitchen😢.
This! #2 had it all, including a village location while still feeling very private. The mystery house was dark, cramped, had land but not really a garden and the kitchen...sigh.
I thought the second one suited what they said they wanted most. The mystery one wasn’t in a village with things going on which is what they were moving from Spain for.
5 shows in this season and not one time have they said and i hate that! i understand if they aren't sure or are still looking but when they are as excited about a property as these two were its as you said very frustrating!
@@Jordanuj28 Rather lame I would think if you go on a TV show for house hunting, reveal the one you are interested in, and then seek privacy. Just absurd!
I have been to Yorkshire and Castle Howard. Toured England, coastline of England, Scotland and Wales. Felt as if I was in a stortbook! Couldn't afford to luve thete sadly. Been back 3 times. Jules is a charming, good looking host. Miss him the past season! Not the same.
#1 has too much clutter especially in the enormous kitchen, which makes it look smaller. Sellers need to have a professional to stage it. That house is beautiful. Affordable large yard. Only 13 years old.#2 priced under budget beautiful house kitchen is huge except for the couch de clutter and it would be bigger and outside is huge and beautiful.#3 small windows, toilet in shower? But home is beautiful inside and out.
What a lovely, ruddy, couple. A true Yorkshire Lad and Lass. They have a glow about them. They definitely have Yorkshire DNA! Now..., As far as the 3 properties go.. Take the feature of the en suite bathroom in EACH of the bedrooms of house number 1 and put those into house number 2..which had the most beautiful kitchen ..and it, ( # 2) would have been MY choice. I would prefer o NOT be out in the country. With only Llamas for neigjbors and having to drive for all my shopping.
I thought Americans like big rooms but dang. Some of these living rooms are ridiculous. Kitchens with oven on one side, cupboards snd sink another, fridge in another room and you have to walk around a big table while cooking. Oof.
I actually liked all the homes in this episode, but the mystery house was by far the most beautiful. I cringe when I see sofas in the kitchen. Not because we never do this, but it doesn’t look good and the furniture takes up so much space that it makes the room crowded and appear smaller.
That's DOWNSIZING??? What happened to living in a town with neighbors, joining a Yorkshire cooking class?

My Grandad used to say that too!

What l love about these videos is l get to see how beautiful everything is. The U K is so pretty, l love the houses too.

What a beautiful couple, I love them. I hope they get everything they’re looking for. Jules always delivers, doesn’t he!
Yes he does, and good looking too!
Love this show, would run away to Yorkshire or Devon if I was younger! Also love the host, he’s so handsome ❤
He’s my favorite host.
@@JudyChartrand-uv6oi And he always likes to go for a pint!
Funny how they loved the large kitchen even though it has very little cooking area and cabinets! It seems less than either of the other two😊

My only favourite show on the earth.... love it!

And what's with the "we need more room " thing ? Huge houses with vast rooms are not generally found in country villages.
It does have 2 or 3 neighbours but they never put them in a shot....presumably for privacy reasons.

Absolutely love this program! The locations are so very interesting and even eye-opening. Wonderful presenters make these presentations a "must see"!
I get so frustrated when they don’t say if they bought the house or not 🤔

I agree
They only reveal the outcome if the couple consents for privacy reasons

@@idharudhar5985I agree.
You should come to Vienna and see the Gloriette in the back garden of Schoenbrunn castle... That's a hammer for a garden house !
I think Jules(host) is so handsome!😍
He really is. He's our favorite host in ETTC!
Such a genuinely happy and intelligent couple!
I love the second house!

How much space does 2 people need? Buy 2 house side by side then join them together?
Loved first two houses. They were lovely
❤
wow thats amazing the house in pickhill north yorkshire😊😊❤❤lovely
How is a kitchen is too small when you have a table, couch, chair and an island in it...
😊😊amazing aeroplanes..astonishing
👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.
😊😊amazing homes❤❤love it
I lived in North Yorkshire from the age of 5years old to 36years old, then i moved to Cumbria
That is a lot of house for an older couple downsizing! And plenty of upkeep. Good luck with that!
We have 2 seasons in Colorado; winter with snow and construction (temperatures may vary). 🤷
Could it be that this Couple 'is' wearing their Nose to high ? Good to watch Jules so happy in 'His' Airplane .... !
i watched this bcoz the landscape

i think they spoke too soon as always amazing houses with gardens😊😊

It always amazes me when people comment on how small the kitchen is. I mean step into a commercial kitchen and see for yourself...

…… so we assume the purchased the mystery home ……..

I feel the same. Probably because it isn’t common in the U. S. But it seems to be the norm for the U.K.
they need to build their own house and put the character in where they want it. they want a big house.
Heart or head?
why #3???? 🤦♀ The second property was amazing. I have to admit, their choice shocked me. Booo
