Her voice actor is a Broadway actress. Barrett Wilbert Weed. She was the off broadway Veronica in Heathers, the original Janet in Mean Girls the musical shes so brilliant
I absolutely love her voice. This is my 5th favorite song in HB. I hope I can see her in a Broadway show someday

If I remember correctly, I think Octavia’s voice actor was in the broadway version of mean girls? I’d search it up just to make sure but Octavia is definitely not her only voice role

This is so beautifully done I sincerely hope that Octavia and Stolas have a song when they eventually makeup in Season 3. It would maybe be TOO touching and sad though

Nice work! This is probably the best mashup that can be done with the songs as they re played in the show. Hopefully someone will be ambitious enough to do a full cover in this style, so that they can space Octavia's version a bit more generously to make space for Stolas' echo. As it is now it's a little cramped, "I'll be okay" wasn't written with enough space between Octavia's lines to properly fit Stolas' lines, but there isn't really much that can be done about that with the official version on the song. Turning "You will be okay" into this ghostly faint reprise in the background was a really good idea for fitting them together though. The songs have such different energies that they don't mesh well without this level of editing.

Interesting mashup, personally I don't think they mesh together, maybe just not enough similarities in the melody for it to flow for me, but I can still respect the trying it out, having him in the back kind of makes it hard to focus on what she's saying, so i think when you had it in the moments where she's not singing, made it a bit smoother
@@KarmaLostAnArm yeah I agree musically they don’t mesh that well together except for one part they had the same chord progression. I tried my best to use what there was and my hope is that someone does a cover and puts them in the same key so this will actually sound good.

My question is, what exactly is Octavia's purpose? Stolas was raised to be the guardian, what about her? She doesn't seem as if she's been raised at all by royals, with expectations of her, despite having been born to specifically further the Goetia line. So *who* is she supposed to be?
I honestly think she’ll find it out on her own as she gets older, even if stella and vias uncle try to form her into something she’d most likely not wanna be I think she’d go against it no matter what if she one day finds out the truth

But it makes no sense for Stolas to be told at a young birthday what his future was going to be, and who he was going to marry, but Octavia is running around nearly an adult now and... what is she supposed to do? She was supposed to inherit it like Stolas did, right? But she just sort of exists. Whether she likes it or not isn't the question. Stolas didn't like it either.
@DeadlyChinchilla and stolas CLAIMS to love her, sure he bonded with her but continously promising her and not keeping his promises is a shitty thing to do to your child. Stolas repeatedly kept forgetting her, and kept going toward blitzo. Yes, stolas was a victim of abuse from stella, however that isn't an excuse for him to be a bad father continously to octavia. She too is a living individual.
