His enthusiasm is awesome you can tell he loves what he does and he has a passion for knives and for the hobby. Seems like he’s been with Artisan for a while too. Man I can’t wait for most of these models to come out. Hopefully Bladehq will offer more Artisan Cutlery product.
I came here to say the same thing.! Some "sales" reps are awful... and then there are the guys like Russel, and the Blonde dude from CRKT and the legend from Cold Steel.!!!
Really like the energy Russsel has for every single knife they got on the table, you can tell he’s a total knife guy first and foremost. Says a lot of about Artisan and i can def say i will be checking out some of these designs once they drop (especially that compound recurve tanto).
Without a doubt, this was the best video from the show I have seen. I know I will have at least 3 new knives from Artisan/CJRB. Really good stuff and a super fun presentation. Russell is the best.
It’s so nice to see someone be so passionate about what they do. You can hear the passion in his voice it makes me want to buy one of his knives. I’m thinking about the Osprey!
Russell Soffioto and Joe Flowers are the best. Always bringing that endearing energy of knives and welcoming good-natured disposition that represent the best of the knife community. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
Say what you want about Chinese knives, but this guy really sells his products with energy and enthusiasm... he's like a second Joe flowers from condor knives and tools
I have a kinetic tool. I love it. I wish Artisan would keep making it and making some new updates on it. I'm too scare to buy a blades version, but having a practice butterfly with practical applications is amazing. I love artisan cutlery. Good stuff!
Artisan is ahead of the curve. Manufacturing is coming back to US in a big way folks. "Made in the US" WILL be bigger than ever before and this country will soon be greater than ever before. The future is BRIGHT and for those who think the knife game has reached its peak, we ain't seen nothin yet!
Whoohoow I love Artisan Cutlery. You get so much high end knife. for a fair price. These knives are equivalent to $1000 semi custom knives. Russell like a boss He radiates his love for knives, on us knife lovers
They should make the otf slide look similar to a shotgun pump handle, I don’t care if the first isn’t totally amazing because they’re taking chances and innovating which the knife industry needs so damn badly. It’s not too much of a problem now, but people are getting tired of the same old stuff from every company. That’s one reason why I love the Winter Blade Co designs and why I will make 100% sure I get a factor next month! The insane ping that knife makes when the blade is deployed is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever experienced from a knife. I fkn love it, plus the knife looks badass and the magnetic stuff the maker came up with is something so obvious but still nobody has ever thought of it or tried to orient it as far as I know. Every single design he has made prototypes for are totally original which nobody else has done, can’t wait for the Factor and the other future models!
An interesting thing to see on the slide OTF prototype would be a self-retracting slide handle (could be as simple as a spring to be honest), as well as maybe a variant with a wave-esque mecahnism on the slide for quick deployment.
No comment on the slide action knife, but there are at least 3 knives on that table I'd like to own, so that's pretty good! The Kenetic, Ruffian, and Ahab. I also like the More Maileah, but I'm happy with the small one and don't need the larger (I bought it 'cause it's legal in 2.5 inch cities).
Love this guy's attention to weight, handle length, and even the problem I encountered with holding my Para3 Lightweight (only one liner) too tightly and messing up the action for myself. I love that they basically made a tactical Kephart dagger, and I'm even more excited to see what a contemporary bushcraft knife as light as traditional ones is like!
One of if not the best presentation video I've seen from Shot Show. I wish they would've mentioned the blade length on the unnamed bolster lock. I've been looking for a knife like that...Ti/Al boster with CF. Found many others but they weren't exactly what I was looking for, way too expensive, or discontinued.
@matty d it's pretty good, it helps that the grind on most artisan and cjrb knives is pretty thin so the geometry helps hold that edge. I would compare it to cpm154cm
@@jjrossitee I've got alot of a super steels but to be honest good budget stuff is my favorite. It's easy to sharpen and I'm less afraid to really hard use a more inexpensive knife.
Keep making the Proponent in both sizes, super cool knife. Get rid of your primary and secondary logo and institute the Perfirmance Series logo company wide. You know why.
Not a bali flipper but I could see the need to design the handles for the bali to have the ability to change scales colors easily, different handles options
FINALLY. IVE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH YOU BOYS ALL DAY, AND NOW THAT IVE GOT YOU RIGHT WHERE I WANT YOU.... I want to buy one of those automatic balisongs with a live blade instead of that dumb multitool blade
very awesome stuff from Artisan they really do need to do the Chisel Grind on that Gavco that's what sets it apart ..Do the Chisel Grind Artisan / Gavco.
I sure do love Artisan Cutlery and their stuff but I've had an awful time getting a response from their customer service department regarding a shipping issue I've experienced. I sure wish they would reply to all of my emails/calls.
I'm sorry but that pump shotgun type knife at the end is very gimmicky and well... dumb. What's the point? It's an added complication for the sake of adding complication.
Want to voice my admiration for Russell...a representative for a company that talks positively about other brands is epic

yeah and he really looks that he enjoys what he does... nice representation of the brand
I agree with the other posters. Here's a super positive guy that makes me excited about the products that his company are bringing out and why.
Every company ambassador needs a guy like Russel. He has such a positive aurora and definitely someone you would want to have a beer with. 🍻🍻🍻

Russell is probably my favorite person in the entire knife community. He loves his job and he loves knives and it shows.
Artisan Cutlery better never get rid of Russel! He's a awesome ambassador for the company and does a fantastic job showing off these blades!

Russell is badass. Gotta love how excited and enthusiastic he is!
Very impressed by Artisan's innovation each year. They are really trying and it will pay off!!
This is the best knife rep in the business his energy is great
Always excited to see what Russell has to say ,brings a smile to my face every time ☺️
The pump action OTF is hilarious. Love it.
Artisan Cutlery continues to impress me year after year! Such cool products, and I love that they work with such talented designers.

That Gorgon is sweeeeexy. Love the neutral design so much

The hyperlight looks sick man, take my money
Artisan I’m liking what you guys are doing and I’m loving where you’re going. Knocking it out of the park.
Just making a shopping list for 2022 as I watch the videos 😄
I can't wait till I can actually buy that automatic belisong, that is freaking awesome!

That last knife needs to be called the Pump OTF. Like a pump shotgun.

Russell is awesome 👌
Their knives are pretty great. I recently got one of their assisted's and they are great knives for the price
I've been torturing my sea snake for the last year and RPM9 may be my favorite budget steel right now.

Bladehq hire this guy to do vids with Kurt
That Ahab is pretty sweet.
I really need to look closer at this brand. Nice stuff!
Valor is a big yes
i want that caldara, that red is beautiful ... make more color please

What is the time estimate for these to be released? Mainly asking about the kinetic but the rest are great as well
If I were selling something I would want that sales rep on my team.
Coolest thing I’ve ever seen. When and where can I purchase the kinetic live and slide OTF?
Wait so when are we going to be able to get the finish kinetic tool?
Effin A! American made! Holy s#!÷, that OTF looks sick!!!
Artisan has talked a lot about the corrosion resistance of AR-RPM9, but several of their models in that steel only come with coated blades. Why?!
Looking forward
kenetic ... a must have in my collection
Blade HQ please have a section of your sight with American made knives and designers.
they already have an "American made" tag. might have to go to the page for a specific knife to find it
I f*cking love me some Ferrum Forge designs.
Not a bali flipper but I could see the need to design the handles for the bali to have the ability to change scales colors easily, different handles options
Should call that OTF the RELOAD ! Sounds like racking a slide. 👍🏻
I want to know where the live blade kinetic balisong is!
FINALLY. IVE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH YOU BOYS ALL DAY, AND NOW THAT IVE GOT YOU RIGHT WHERE I WANT YOU.... I want to buy one of those automatic balisongs with a live blade instead of that dumb multitool blade
So does the kinetic auto close too?
Please make more full size brass proponants artisan! Thanks 😊
When is the Hystarix coming out?
very awesome stuff from Artisan they really do need to do the Chisel Grind on that Gavco that's what sets it apart ..Do the Chisel Grind Artisan / Gavco.
Make it in cpm 3v and I'm all in on that fix blade also you need call that otf the pump cause it reminds me of a pump shot gun
Dylan designs a sweet knife, too.
i got to get that baskin
Russell should have had a mask on, don't want to breathe in the Doritos dust from Kurt's beard.
Russell is the man

Great knives, and the video could have been improved with a B cam (and edits) or if the cam guy would spend 4x longer zoomed in on the product...
Good representative.
Wish you would do am American made product in a fixed or a less extreme folder I'm not digging the bally, you know American made Feldspar or something
@matty d lol dude I was being facetious
I am interrupting my dinner, to type this. KEEP THE CHISEL GRIND!! Just sayin'.
This dude knows how to sell knives
Thanks for your hard work. Get better video production!
Please don't change the Baskin. If nothing else just make a mini.
after watching for 3 minutes, all i can think is... "how much blow did this guy do?"
Maybe Adderall, he doesn't sniff or wipe his nose.
video too long ... but i loved it
I am guilty of sometimes carrying 5 or 6 or 7 knives at a time. Shit, today it's 7.
Ok, i feel way better about days when I carry three. Thank you for that
hey
china is a risk.. usa no risks.. full best Technology for cnc.. good decision..
Dragon Beast
please trash that camera ... the focus is terrible
Now you only have to release liveblades for us that have bought the kenetic tool to ;)
Tip down? I don’t even know you dude.
Dead to me.

No thank you
I would really think that in order to call something “slicey” you would need to actually slice something, anything with it

Crap 👍🏻
