Just an FYI. We chartered with Marinemax on a 44 Aquila. The heads would take "paper" with no problems. This boat also had a watermaker which allowed the women to take a real shower and never run short of water. I still used your idea of the Bidet just in case but beingable to flush vs trash paper was very nice. Alsoo having a full beam master was an added bonus.
It depends on the charter company. However, in my case with the Mooorings I provided references that indicated I have operated a larger vessel other than a ski or pontoon boat. I demonstrated that I had previously operated an 80' house boat multiple times and managed a marina on the Ohio river that allowed me to operate power boats over 30' in length. If you do qualify to Captain, I strongly suggest you bareboat with people that have a general understanding of how to 'crew'. Cheers!
Ok odd question. Want to do a charter but I am outnumbered by women 3 to 1. I hear that toilet paper must go in trash not toilet. Women as that is gross and a no go. Is that your experience and how do you handle it if true??? Help really want to sell this to the group
Love the question! On the Leopard 43 that we chartered, the toilet and shower were close enough that we used the shower head like a "bideau". The shower head released from the wall, referred to as a "hand shower". We did use some TP sparingly, never had any issues. Otherwise, bring a bunch of plastic "grocery bags" and use them to dispose TP after every time you wipe. Also, in the BVI there are plenty of places that allow 'cruisers' to use the facilities, this may be another option for going "#2". Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@mikeboyce6208 Ha ha so you have a simular wife. I knew you were the guy to ask. I have heard Marinemax lets you use paper in the head but some also say no so it is a delima for sure.
Great Video. Planning our first Moorings trip for autumn 2023.
You will have a blast. They do a great job! The week before Thanksgiving was a perfect time for our trip. Cheers!

I do like the Aquila models better. Glad you had a great trip!
Loved your video! Happy New Year 🎆
Thank you! You too!
What boating certifications do you have that allowed you to do bareboat charter?

My wife wanted me to emphasize that you will need to use "clorox" spray in shower and on shower head if you go the "bideau" option.
