Cabaret Inspired Makeup

Hello darlings,
This video is very special, because it’s inspired by my dearly departed friend and fellow performer, Audri Fenmore. She is always in my heart, and is a continuous inspiration to me in my creative endeavors to this day. The first time I ever “did” Liza was for Audri at her tribute memorial show, where I did my best to emulate the magical energy that Audri herself brought to the character, Sally Bowles, from the film version of Cabaret.
This world lost a lot of lustor when dear Audri passed, and I hope she knows how inspirational she still is to the blessed people who knew her. Love you darling, I hope I can make you proud!
A little more history on the look:
Liza Minnelli portrayed the infamous Sally Bowles in the 1972 film version of the musical Cabaret. Her iconic blue eyeshadow, red lips, beauty mark & green nail lacquer stand out in this classic movie, and has inspired many drag and burlesque acts since! I decided to put a modern spin on the makeup (which is so unlike me HAHA) to see if I could capture a similar vibe, with a slightly different perspective on the look. I hope this helps make you feel inspired to create your own version of iconic vintage looks, while still paying loving homage to the timeless era’s in makeup in years gone by!

You are so precise and deliberate with your strokes! I also never thought of cleaning up my eyeshadow with a Q tip... I usually use a wipe and it does not get it perfect. The quality of this video is absolutely amazing and you look incredible!! I love this movie!!!
