100 foot down rigger rule works. 40 down 60 back. 30 down 70 back, 50 down 50 back. seems that 50-60 back is a good distance stagger and less is more. had two doubles last season as a weekend yahoo on right weather windows. doubles on same rod. at times only rods out and turn on big fish asap

I don’t use the 100’ rule but I know it works for some people

Great videos! What are your thoughts on doing a discussion on single vs treble hooks? Be interested to see what everyone’s opinions are. I feel singles are starting to fade away in the Great Lakes.

When you say set high divers back 300-400’ are you talking about setting diver out to the side or back further? I wasn’t aware of a setup to put divers on boards out to the side?

It would be how far we let the diver out. I use 107mm diver with a reg weight on 30# 7 strand wire for my high divers

@@Reel2ReelOutdoors what would the depth be? These divers are set at a 3 setting? Is it basically one third of the distance back? At 300’ back how far would be the expected depth. Always great topics. Been watching and subscribed. Keep them coming!
Would you be using slide divers at all? I have tried them the first time this year and they worked very well.

@@jimdrechsel3611 I would guess 80-100’. Probably depends on what is being pulled behind it.
