Suzy & Steejo react to The Last of Us TV show. The Last of Us is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann for HBO. Based on the 2013 video game developed by Naughty Dog, the series follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting the teenage Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States.

Ellie's sense of humor is hilarious, I was cracking up when she asked Joel about diarrhea, and when Joel started laughing

I think we can listen to Ellie cracking pun jokes with Joel laughing all night long, the humor and chemistry between these two are just beyond words. Interesting choice tha the show picked Kansas City instead of Pittsburgh in the game, Kathleen and her rebels were based on the Hunters in the game, can tell that because of their vehicles paint. Fun fact, her second-in-command Perry played by Jeffrey Pierce, who played Tommy in the game.
On the after-show podcast, Craig Mazin explained that they found the production locations in Canada more closely imitated Kansas City and felt Pittsburgh was not important enough to the story to justify the difficulty in manufacturing it. Co-creator Neil Druckmann, who wrote and co-directed the video game on which the series is based, considered it a superficial change as the characters are more important than the location. He and Mazin felt the additional distance to Kansas City justified the story beats and character development.
The sad thing about the kid that attacked Joel at the start was how young he was. Seems young enough that this may have been his first time as part of an ambush, seeing his friends get killed, he decided to get revenge. After Ellie shoots him he says 'I didn't know', implying that if he knew Joel was traveling with a child he might not have been so willing to take part in the ambush (yes I know they were the ones who attacked first so they deserved it). In his panic he naively tries to offer a peaceful solution and asks to see his mum, but Joel knows that if there are others, peace is unlikely once they see the other dead attackers. Joel kills him but not before the boy cries out for his mum no less than 3 times in his last moments. It might be hard to empathise with him in passing, but on a second watch it hits a little harder.

I'm not at the actual reaction yet, but I'm going to pause here to say how much I appreciate you kind of "taking a stand" about E3 at the outset. Not over the top... you didn't meet their nasty with nasty... but you stood your ground, and I guess the reason I liked it is because you didn't have to.
So either thanks or good job. Or both.

Ancient Greece and Rome. It was a sign of comradary to bump uglies with the homies I'm pretty sure. But 2000 years later were all up in arms about it? I loved episode 3. And this episode is really good. Joel laughing at Ellies pun near the end was so wholesome and it made me so happy after all of the chaos
I used to feel awkward about watching sex scenes as well but after watching True Blood, The Witcher, and Game of Thrones I’ve kind of become desensitized to nudity and sex in movies and TV shows. It’s just another scene to me at that point. If I’m watching with someone else and I’m sensing that they’re feeling awkward, I’ll usually talk to them about something else within the show so that they can feel more at ease and distracted from the scene. But yeah, I’m generally fine sitting through those scenes now.
I see the haters of episode 3 as homophobic morons and they can’t change my mind.

I really love what they did with this EP, a lot of familiar scenes and lines. Then they give the enemies (Hunters) names and sense of humanity like in that scene with Brian guy that was shot by Ellie, the acting was so good! I really love the reactions from both of you, it's just so good!
Oh quick trivia, the guy with the gun with Kathleen is the voice actor of Tommy from TLOU game.
Fun fact: the guy in the black and gray beard with the gun following the lady is the voice actor of Tommy in the game

i liked the conversation between this new character Kathleen and the doctor. pretty well chose actress and actor, on my opinion.

henry story was they were going to meet up with their group at a power plant but they realized they wouldnt be there so they were going to go with joel and ellie to meet tommy and see if they can join the fireflies and then you know what happens
For Henry and Sam. Henry said his group had the idea to lay low and gather supplies in the QZ before heading on to the radio tower to meet up with a larger crew of people. They were planning on meeting up with the fire flies. But his main goal was always like Joel's, to protect someone else. And I think that's where they really found a connection, a brotherhood of sorts.
But yeah. That's his story kind of before Joel and Ellie met them.
The tank filling and the convo that followed was for sure a nod to the hydro dam part in the game where Joel is like “I know what it is, I don’t know how it works”
Another great reaction you two have such a great connection and obviously it shows with how many people watch daily! I’ve been watching since 2016 on your other channels and although I’m gay myself I got so uncomfortable with episode 3 with the sex scene and don’t like it being forced into games or tv series either haha but it’s just so nice seeing how you two are so unbothered by it and accepting about people with how they are 🙌🏻❤️

The comments about episode 3 were probably from the neckbeard community of youtube. Weird that they are so anti, since normally they are so annoyed that something changed in the story of a game/series/film. And now they are doing things that were in the game, and it's still not OK.. Weirdos can never be satisfied.

The front door created a draft, combined with the bedroom windows draft, that kept the bedroom door shut.
My theory about baking and the fungus is that this particular strain developed not just enough heat resistance to live in humans, but also to survive baking temperatures. I assume it would be dormant until it was ingested by a person and had the right temperature and moisture to grow and reproduce. This is likely implausible, but it's what I'm clinging to, lol.

I love Ellie. She is such a wonderful actor. Though she is supposed to be 14 years old she is actually 19 in real life.She is Lady Mormont in Game of Thrones. (very small part)

Bill served as a cautionary tale in the game, in the show he serves as an inspiration. Both work, but this works better in a TV format.
I can totally understand missing the action and the interactions between the trio, but the episode still left us in the same place the game did, except with more hope.
i saw someone comment "you can think the episode was a beautiful love story and well shot, but still think it's a bad episode overall." the irony is that so many of these dudes that say the most homophobic shit are secretly getting their dick sucked by other men. you can't convince me that they're all fully straight.
Next episode comes out this Friday here in the USA because the Super Bowl is on Sunday. So you two should get it sooner :)

I thought the Bill/Frank episode was one of the best TV episodes to ever grace the screen. It was brilliant! Some people do have problems watching intimacy and that's fine but yeah, agree, keep the homophobia back in the Dark Ages where it still shouldn't belong, but you know what I mean.

I‘m glad Suzy and Steejo got to see the amount of hate we gay men have to deal with on a daily basis. I just wanna watch a show and then watch reactions without seeing people in the comments section insulting me like wth..what did I do to them?! And its not just that, social media is full of homophobic people typing comments as they please without it getting blocked for hate speech. Almost every day I’m reading things like I should die/I’m gonna burn in hell as if I made a “disgusting decision“ by being gay. I was born this way ffs and it’s mostly just insecure and religious straight men who look like they haven’t showered for days who say these things and horrifically enough there are thousands of people out there writing these angry hateful things that just hurt my soul. Being hated by hundreds of millions of people in the world just because I was born and am now existing is very hard to deal with emotionally. They don’t see us as humans or equals and it’s sad that people don’t ever move on from hate, may it be racism, anti-semitism, sexism, homophobia.. they always want to have someone they can hate and use as a punching bag and it’s disgusting. Can’t we just try to get along and make our already difficult lives just a little more bearable? Jeez. Thank you Suzy for deleting those comments! At least one content creator that cares about their community and the way people talk to each other, that also spared me some frustration reading through these

I like gay men. But then I think I can say I am bi. So its an easy jump. Yes, love is love and I love you.
I think there are many fair ways to be opposed to many aspects of the previous episode, but just "ew gay" is just dumb.
For example, i think it's fair to say that the physical aspect isn't attractive to many yet there were many other aspects of their relationship that were quite attractive. For me, as someone who has a biased toward the other version that i experienced first, i thought it was rather weird to focus that much on something that was a missable sidenote about a character we didn't even meet in this version, but i also understand the choice of dodging the gameplay heavy parts of the game.
This episode i had the opposite fear and was hoping the entire episode that they don't shy away from the topics that get instantly demonitised since it wasn't clear if the "leader" of the group was replaced/removed in the show.
As a non-game-player, you guys really spoiled me on things in this ep... giant worm? ellie's sexuality? Come on guys...

I'm a little tired of talking about last episode, but I'm gonna do it one last time. I sincerely found episode 3 boring. I have talked to a lot of people who didn't like the episode and they all agree that they didn't like it because it was boring or too different from the game, and that the characters being gay had nothing to do with it. I only remember like 2 or 3 really homophobic comments, and they were mainly trolling, trying to provoke others. I feel like people who liked the episode are the ones that made the discussion about homophobia, not the other way around. I lost count of how many people called me homophobic or closet gay for not liking the episode. They're the ones that probably have a sexuality problem. That being said, episode 4 was awesome and I'm ready to move on.
I've lost count of the number if people that have been banned for pure hateful drivvle about the last episode. Most of the time you won't see the comments because they've been removed or caught by UA-cams auto mod -Steejo

the reason episode 3 is controversial is because many ppl think Neil Druckmann is pushing Woke agenda when it isn't wanted or needed. and what made it worse is the episode really didn't drive the plot forward and the director later said after the episode aired that they tricked viewers so that they could make them watch gay guys on screen.
It's not that ppl don't like gay couples. they don't care. love who you want to love. they just don't want it to be thrown it down threw throats, like what the cartoon show is Velma doing, and what they thought episode 3 did.

It is weird to get that extent on that relationship while it's a story where the only relationship that get's that type of focus is joel and ellie, the main one, others like joel/tommy, joel/tess or even joel/sarah don't get that much.
