Masterclass | Kubrick by McDowell | ARTE Cinema

Succeeding to Brian De Palma, Malcolm McDowell was recently at the Cinémathèque Française for a successful and sparkling Masterclass. Interviewed by Jean-François Rauger, the British comedian takes a look back on the filming of A Clockwork Orange and his meeting with "the paranoid and control freak" Stanley Kubrick, who offered him with the character of Alex one of his biggest parts. With his great sense of storytelling, he distills memories and anecdotes about his career and his parts from If (Lindsay Anderson, Cannes Palme d'Or in 1969) to Paul Schrader's Cat People.
