    I’ve seen a vid on this collection already but this one was far, far better. Your lack of knowledge on the subject gave you the natural curiosity that drives a great interview. Asking if only the males have antlers may have felt dumb but in caribou among others the females can have antlers. More importantly you felt like it may be a dumb question but asked anyway. It was a great sign of your character and the self-assured and humble place you are coming from.
    Letting this intrepid shed hunter tell his stories and the stories of the animals that contributed to his collection was what I wanted.
    Really well done young man! Liked and sub’d!

    Almost every shed I find tells a story about his physical condition and / or how he lived. I love it for that reason.

    Not knowing anything about antlers probably made that guy's day. You just know his family has heard it all already and he probably hasn't been able to explain the basics to anyone who was genuinely curious about his hobby (but not also a collector themselves) in years.

    There are a lot of "shed antlers" in this room.But most of hte racks on the wall have either a skull plate of an entire skull attached. These are not sheds.

    • @drewlackman
      @drewlackman  11 місяців тому +1

      Those are dead animals that he found

    • @seraph...4473
      @seraph...4473 11 місяців тому +1

      You can see that the skull plates have been eaten by small animals. If he killed them the entire skull would be intact. Im sure he did kill some of them, but every single skull thats not completely intact was one he found almost guaranteed.

      @@drewlackmango out in early March. Go to the thicketts. The thick areas are where you will score. The antlers get get hung on all the brush and it knocks them off. Look for trails. Deer will beat down the forest floor and make a trail. Follow that to the thickets and you'll find some.

    So he is saying that he has gotten 99.9 % of these on his own, but I sure see alot of skull cap mounts and I would like to know how many is he claiming that he has killed? I just can't see him finding and killing this many that he has skulls for.

    • @drewlackman
      @drewlackman  11 місяців тому

      He didn’t kill any of them and a lot of them were given to him

    • @Smokedout.
      @Smokedout. 11 місяців тому

      @drewlackman .1 % isn't alot of them and that's what he was claiming he was given. So now that you have said he hasn't killed any of these there are alot of full skulls and racks with a skull cap ,so now unless he has been given alot more than he claims there is no way he found so many full buck skulls. If you counted them all and you divide them by the years he said he has been doing this and I bet you will find that he would have to have found a few hundred a year and that is in the few months that he has to look there's no way he found 99.9% of his collection. Sorry but he said it and it just doesn't add up. Anyway cool content.
