25% of the whole budget????? Nope, I don't even drink to be paying others to get drunk. If you would rather skip the wedding than not drinking, you are not even that close to the couple anyway
I went to a dry wedding twenty years ago. Refreshment arrived in the form of high tea, with tea and coffee, sandwiches and cakes, in a historic building. Huge success, still married.
Hi there! How are you doing and I hope you're having a great day! I was going through my UA-cam when I saw your nice profile, I couldn't get my eyes of it so I decided to add you up as my lovely friend.
Honestly I want a dry wedding. Mainly cause I want everyone to have a fun time without getting drunk. Plus some people might live out of the city so who knows if their flight is the next day
I agree with the dry weddings for one it's about the couple like they said and also insuring that everyone at their wedding gets home safely not drinking and driving, Congratulations to the couple and may her grandma Rest in Peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽
When I was 11 years old my family and I attended the alcohol and child included wedding of one of my father’s (the bride) first cousins. At the pre-wedding day party, the groom’s buddies from his college days got drunk as skunks and were playing volleyball with a blow up s*x doll. I wasn’t being watched (Mother of the groom was busy corning my non-confrontational father and demanding he give a wedding speech) and naively wandered towards them, curious as to what they were doing, they then caught sight me,I circled me, put the s*x doll on my shoulders and would not let me take it off my shoulders or get away from them and I had to also endure them laughing at my distress. I can’t remember how I got away. I am now 41. Alcohol and children should not be part of weddings at the same time. Choose one or the other.

@@Mrs.Butterworth Yes those persons who choose to attend are true friends who care about the couple and their new union rather than a free for all bar!
I don’t drink, so I guess that’s why I don’t put the two together. I’ve never understood people getting falling down drunk at your wedding reception. Why do people want pictures of that I mean I don’t. I want my friends smiling and being able to stand up in my wedding photos from my wedding all the way to my reception and I don’t want to have to worry about everyone that attended my wedding me personally, I would want to know that everybody arrived home alive and everything was perfect. No, you can’t stop everything. I understand that accidents happen but I’m gonna do everything to protect me and my family, weddings and alcohol do not belong together. It’s like getting drunk at a baby shower just doesn’t make sense.

No thank you 😅 it’s worth the money IMO. Also I know my wedding is about to be “my special day” but I’m also super concerned about people’s expectations as well. It costs a guest a lot of money to go to a wedding, so I would personally find this trend rude without fair warning beforehand
That's why they said to let them know ahead of time and put it on the invitations, BTW It's not just about the drinks and who cares what people think it's your wedding not theirs and at least YOU know your invites are gonna be safe and not get into a car accident because they're so damn drunk and possibly injure and innocent person!! You'd live with that the rest of your life too since you provided the drinks!!

So if you dont drink nobody should? What would couple think about dry gifts?
@@dariomaric3696Why pay thousand for alcohol and the problem with it ? I have been with dry weddings and still fun with music and cake

My first wedding was alcohol free and so was my second one

Thats why you had a second wedding
Recovering alcoholics shouldn't have alcoholic at their wedding.
If you want to save money, it's called cash bar.

Here me out, instead of alcohol how about slushes?

I agree, you dont have to be drunk but with zero alkohol its rude. They expect gifts, would it be rude if i dont bring one?
These people are just tight with money not worried about people's health 😂
Ok, expect dry gifts
Sorry you need to toast your special day
